People come to us with many problems. Some of these problems are the same as problems of those who live in Poland, regarding the spiritual life, some personal problems, addiction, helplessness and looking for any kind of support - spiritual or material support. But there are also people with specifically with problems of migrants like language problems, problem with accommodation, with finding jobs here and sometimes they are not sure about their future, whether to stay here or to come back to Poland.

I was born in this religion as a Catholic, my parents they are both Catholic. And since I remember, since I was really, really child, a baby, so they took me to the church on every Sunday mass. So for me it is absolutely normal, it is something like what I have to do, what I like to do, every single Sunday, sometimes even in the weeks if I could have only time.

As a country Poland at least 90 percent or people are Catholic. Therefore for us it is very important to got to church and stick to religion.

People who are suffering with deep depression, which is a big problem in London because of the language, finance problems, or not being able to find work. Because Poles are well qualified but they are working in lower roles than they should be, they have moments of depression and then even the priest may help and advise them.

When I arrived to England, I was surprised that the English churches were half empty, while our churches in Poland were always full like like here, when these people came here. Now there is the same problem, that there are not enough churches, not enough places to pray. And one more thing I regret it is that once this country was a Roman Catholic country and because of Henry VIII who, he destroyed everything.

The Catholic Church in England has grown dramatically recently following a wave of migrants into the country, particularly from Poland, where some 90 per cent of the population identify themselves as Catholic.
Polish people of all generations are now bursting from church aisles on Sundays to celebrate mass.
STORYLINE :
It's a cold Sunday morning in West London but that doesn't stop people of all ages from flocking into this Victorian church.
Anyone who arrives late to the 11.30 morning mass at Our Lady Mother of the Church will be lucky to get a seat.
This Polish church has become so popular in recent months that the Marian Fathers who run it have to hold up to seven masses on Sundays to cater for the some 5000 people wishing to worship.
A look at the congregation offers a snap shot of the Polish immigrant community in London, one of the fastest growing in the UK, since Poland's accession to the European Union in 2004.
There are a total of 18 Polish churches in London.

Southampton's Sea City and Titanic Museum
No single memorial to the Titanic victims was ever contemplated, and most are still un-commemorated.
Sectional memorials in Southampton are as follows:
1) Engineer Officers: Situated in East Park opposite the Cenotaph, it is the largest and probably the most well-known. It is dedicated to the engineer officers, none of whom survived the disaster. It was designed by Messrs. Whitehead and Son and unveiled in April 1914. It is built of grey granite and bronze, and is 30 feet long by 20 feet high. In the centre a winged angel is flanked by relief representations of engineer officers. It is Grade II listed.
2) Titanic Crew: This memorial to the crew of the Titanic (stewards, sailors and firemen) originally stood at the southern end of the Common near the end of Cemetery Road. It is a drinking fountain made of Portland Stone by Garret and Haysom of East Street. It was unveiled in 1915 by Mr. Bullions Moody. It now stands in Holy Rood Church.
3) Musicians: A plaque to the memory of the musicians, who, according to reports, played on almost to the moment the ship sank, was erected in the old Central Library, Cumberland Place, in 1913 by the local branch of the Amalgamated Musicians Union. The building and plaque were destroyed by enemy action during the Blitz in 1940. An exact replica was commissioned in 1990 and placed on the wall of a modern office building in Cumberland Place.
4) Sea-post officers: A bronze tablet set in a pillar in the main post office on the High Street was was erected by members of the postal and telegraph services.
5) Musicians: A further memorial to the musicians, a metal tablet, was erected in St Mary’s Church. It survived the Blitz and was subsequently re-erected on a wall in the Seamen's Chapel.
6) Restaurant staff. A brass plate in St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Bugle Street commemorates the restaurant staff of the Titanic. Many were local men, but about sixty were Italians, and probably attended St Joseph’s when they were in Southampton. Luigi Gatti, who managed one of the restaurants on board, lived in Southampton and also ran a restaurant in the town.
7) A plaque on the wall of Canute Chambers in Canute Road records the fact that this was the headquarters of White Star Line in 1912 and that hundreds of people waited here for news of their loved ones.
8) Two memorials to local victims were erected in local churches, one in St Augustine’s Church in Northam and the other at Holy Trinity, Millbrook. The wooden tablets erected in St Augustine’s were later moved to the Maritime Museum on Town Quay and are now in SeaCity Museum.
9) There are other memorials to individuals in the churchyards of the town.

An interview conducted by Fr James Bradley of the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham with Dr Stephen Morgan, a deacon in the diocese of Portsmouth and Dean of the Faculty of Religious Studies at the University of St Joseph in Macau.
Dr Stephen Morgan discusses the life and legacy of Blessed John Henry Newman and his importance in the life of the Church today in Newman’s library at Littlemore, Oxford.
In the first part of this 4 part series, deacon Stephen outlines Newman’s early life in Oxford. Born an Anglican in 1801 at then end of the Enlightenment period and at the beginning of the Romantic period, Newman’s intellect destines him for Oxford where he studies the Classics but suffers burn-out due to overwork. Despite this he is elected a Fellow of Oriel College and teaches there. He is ordained an Anglican priest and becomes vicar of the University church, where he is also responsible for the parish of Littlemore, then an agricultural community outside Oxford. He builds a church and school, following a calling to serve the community which repeats itself later in his life.
He follows the Oxford Movement, which sees the Anglican Church as over-rational yet Newman is also sceptical of the raw emotion of the Evangelical movement. As a backlash against rationalism, the Oxford Movement recognised the pre-Reformation church as the historical link back to Christ’s establishment of the church on earth. Despite this, Newman opposes the Catholic emancipation in the United Kingdom in 1829, seeing it as a betrayal of the established church. However, the seeds of doubt are sown in his mind about the integrity of the Church of England.
