St. Dominic's Church Macau
Located right in the heart of Senado Square of Macau, St. Domingo's Church, also St. Dominic's Church, was constructed by three Spanish Dominican priests in 1587 for worshiping Our Lady of the Rosary. It was refurbished in 1828 and was expanded to the large scale that it represents today. This church was placed on the World Heritage List in July 2005, and as such also became the 31st world heritage site of China.

MACAU (MACAO), EXPLORING the historic CATHOLIC CHURCH of ST DOMINIC
SUBSCRIBE: - A quick glimpse inside St. Dominic in beautiful Macau in China, the very first Catholic church in this beautiful part of Asia.
Macau is an autonomous region on the south coast of China, across the Pearl River Delta from Hong Kong. A Portuguese territory until 1999, it reflects a mix of cultural influences. Its giant casinos and malls on the Cotai Strip, which joins the islands of Taipa and Coloane, have earned it the nickname, Las Vegas of Asia. One of its more striking landmarks is the tall Macau Tower, with sweeping city views.

The Ruins of Saint Paul's (Chinese: 大三巴牌坊; Portuguese: Ruínas de São Paulo) are the ruins of a 17th-century Catholic religious complex in Santo António, Macau, China. It includes what was originally St. Paul's College and the Church of St. Paul (Igreja de São Paulo) also known as Mater Dei, a 17th-century Portuguese church dedicated to Saint Paul the Apostle. Today, the ruins are one of Macau's best known landmarks and one of the Seven Wonders of Portuguese Origin in the World. In 2005, they were officially listed as part of the Historic Centre of Macau, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Macau Ferry Terminals
It doesn't matter which port to go to Macau because Macau is not big. No matter which terminal you arrive at, there are free shuttle buses that can deliver you to any hotel or casino.
1. Macau Maritime Ferry Terminal (close to downtown Macau)
Macau Maritime Ferry Terminal, also known as the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal, is the main northern terminal closest to San Ma Lo, architectural attractions, and about 23 mainly smaller casinos.
You can take Bus 3 from San Ma Lo to the Macau Ferry Terminal in about 10 minutes for 2.5 HKD.
2. Taipa Terminal (close to casinos, hotels, airports)
Taipa Terminal is to the south, closest to the Cotai Strip area with the biggest casinos such as the Venetian, the City of Dreams across the street, and the Macau International Airport.
To go to the Taipa Terminal, take the Cotai Jet from any of the three Hong Kong terminals. There are late night returns (at 1 AM) from the Cotai Terminal to the Hong Kong Macau Terminal.

MACAU - TOP THINGS TO SEE -Travel Vlog
Welcome to Macau! In this video, we take the turbo jet ferry from Hong Kong Island to Macau. We spend a full day in the former Portuguese colony, a land where East meets West.
Macau was a former Portuguese colony from the 16th century until 1999 when China took it over. It is now a Special Administrative Region (SAR) of China where Macau controls their own customs and currency, and China handles the rest. There is also an extravagant Las Vegas atmosphere in Macau that makes for an exciting destination to travel.
First, we visit Largo Do Senado (Senado Square) which is the historic Portuguese center and UNESCO World Heritage Site. St. Dominic's Church is a main highlight of this square.
Next, we venture to Fernando's to visit a Portuguese - Chinese fusion restaurant by the beach. We also visit the beach in Macau. Be sure to bring cash! Watch what happens when we try to get back to town without any cash left.
Macau is known for its casinos, including the Venetian, and Paris, and the Wynn. Did you know that Macao is the largest gambling epicenter in the world? It even beat out Vegas. It's the only region in China where you can legally gamble.
Lastly, we visit the Ruins of St. Paul where we see what was the largest Catholic church in Asia.
Macau is truly one of a kind, with East meets West fusion. It is definitely worth a visit!
