GoPro Hero 3+ Volunteering & Kilimanjaro Challenge, Tanzania
I've spent 5 weeks in Africa and have had such an adventure. This video is for my amazing MDX Kili team who made the trip so much fun - I can't imagine it without you all, in particular Sophie McKay who was the best challenge leader we could have asked for, everyone who sponsored our project - you helped us raise over £15,000 for FutureSense Foundation, Samina who gave us such a great project to work on, our Mummas in the volunteer house who cooked us such yummy food every night - those chip omelettes blew my tiny mind, all of the lovely students and teachers at Englanget School we hope you enjoy your new working kitchen, everyone who gave us much needed encouragement and motivation to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro, and to the porters and guides who somehow got us up there!
You can still donate to our project via my justgiving page:

Mt Kilimanjaro - 6 day trek - December 2011
Kilimanjaro - the movie
As part of a month long trip to Tanzania in December 2011, 30 young Aussies completed a 6 day trek of Mt Kilimanjaro, the world's highest free standing mountain.
This is a 20 minute snapshot from those 6 days, including a silent version of Matt's 'When Love Takes Over' dance (which was made into a music video but sadly removed from youtube because of the soundtrack)... even without the music, the stunning scenery & serenity is there to appreciate & it is kinda funny to hear some of the comments from those who didn't quite know what Matt was doing.
The rest of the footage focuses on the landscape & our travel group's banter in the background for a bit of fun / memories.
Aside from reaching the summit, the highlight of this footage is the 'good luck' song & dance performance from our African guides, porters, & cooks the night before we were to attempt the summit... all the more special as this coincided with the 50th anniversary of the independence of Tanzania, & also Morgan's birthday. (We'd walked over 2 days to reach that point with no roads for vehicles & to deliver Morgan's birthday cake as fresh as possible, 2 of our African porters ran back down the mountain earlier that day to collect the cake from the park gate & get it back up to Horombo where we were in time for the celebrations. Amazing stuff)!
So, although I'm sure it'll mostly be our travel group that will sit through the full 20 minutes, enjoy as much as you like of what was a truly challenging & life-changing experience for this family of 30.

EXPEDITIE Kilimanjaro Clip
This is the short clip on our Kilimanjaro Expedition that we did from 6/9/2013 until 12/9/2013 to raise money for the Guusje Nederhorst Foundation. Thanks to everyone that donated and helped us to achieve the €60,000 for the first outdoor Magic Garden for children that have to live in shelters.
