The Bozeman Trail: A Rush to Montana's Gold
The Bozeman Trail was an offshoot of the Oregon Trail, a shortcut to the newly discovered gold fields of Montana Territory. Cutting through the heart of Indian country. It became a flash point for a clash of cultures that would explode into warfare, destruction and tragedy. First telecast March, 2019.

Montana Recreational Ranches For Sale - 1930 Montana Ranch In Gallatin Gateway
LEARN MORE - Montana recreational ranches for sale, near Montana's fastest growing city Bozeman, are tough to find but 1930 Montana Ranch is a perfect combination of privacy and access to recreation, as well as fine dining and cultural amenities.
Montana recreational ranches for sale have long been coveted by the nation's elite but few places represent the type of opportunity that is available at Montana Ranch.
This private, gated luxury ranch community is within 20 minute of the nation's fastest growing micropolitan community, Bozeman, Montana.
The recreation here is world-class with ski areas including Bridger Bowl and Big Sky resort, fishing on the nearby Gallatin River, thousands of miles of mountain biking and hiking trails, lots of wilderness, world-class fly fishing and all within 20 minutes of great dining, the busiest airport in the State with lots of direct flights and Montana State University.
You would be hard pressed to find a better Montana recreational ranch for sale that exceeded the access to both recreation, wildlife and the cultural amenities represented by Montana Ranch.
The Gallatin River, a blue ribbon trout stream, is just 10 minutes from the ranch, Big Sky resort and America's biggest skiing is just 45 minutes away, downtown Bozeman takes about 25 minutes and Yellowstone International Airport is just 25 minutes.
This is truly a unique opportunity to own one of the best places in The Last Best Place.
The home was designed by world renowned architect Jerry Locati of Locati architects and is 6,651 square feet with 4 bedrooms and 5 1/2 bathrooms on just over 160 acres. It features a large exercise room, office, massive vaulted ceilings in the living area, tremendous mountain views, a large deck with fireplace, three car garage and privacy that is beyond compare in this gated, private community.
This Montana recreational ranch for sale directly abuts Ted Turner's large ranch of over 120,000 acres that is in a conservation easement, bordering that is the massive Lee Metcalf wilderness area and there is also 320 acres of State land to the due southeast. This all ensures that future development of any scale won't take place nearby.
Some of the great nearby attractions also include Stacy's Steakhouse, one of Montana's finest and it is just 10 minutes by car from the front door and has a real, authentic Montana feel to it.
Nearby Montana State University and the Museum of the Rockies add deep cultural dimensions to living in Bozeman. Plus, Bozeman has the fourth busiest airport in the entire western United States meaning there are tons of direct flights from a wide variety of U.S. cities.
The wildlife viewing, mountain biking, hiking, trail riding, fishing, skiing and views here are all as good as it gets. Bozeman is a very unique place with wrap around views of peaks up to 11,000 feet, yet the altitude is just 4,600 feet.

Montana Wind Farm Explained - Video RGW
I spent my teen years in Lethbridge Alberta. This area of the world is barren flat prairie. The wind never stops blowing. As a kid I thought it was a curse but on my last trip back to Canada I found that the wind has become a blessing for the people who live in and around Southern Alberta.
Wind energy is a great way to create Electricity with little or no impact. Of course every form of electrical generation has some down side. Many people complain that wind mills can kill birds. With the wind blowing at over 60 miles per hour these are hardly moving. If a bird dies by flying into one of these well I am not sure if Charles Darwin would agree but that is not a very bright bird and if it had not hit the wind mill natural selection would have got it sooner or later.
Looking around on the Invenergy web site I found these statistics especially interesting.. Invenergy and its affiliated companies have developed and placed in service twenty-six wind farms and five natural gas-fueled generating facilities. With a capacity of over 2,200 megawatts, which can provide enough power for approximately two million homes, Invenergy is one of the top six largest owners of wind generating facilities in the United States, according to the American Wind Energy Association.
The second complaint many have against wind farms is the look. Having grown up in in the wind swept prairie I found these to be an improvement over the never ending nothingness and gave me a sense of relief knowing that all that wind was going to be used for something.
Each one of these beasts is over 400 feet tall! That's like a 40 storey building!
RealGreenWorld is all about doing something that is good for the environment and for the pocket book. I would say a company with farms this large is proving that you can have both!
ESS2D - Weather and Climate
In this video Paul Andersen describes both weather and climate. Weather is the day-to-day conditions on the Earth's surface, including temperature, wind, humidity, air pressure, and precipitation. Climate are the long term conditions on the Earth's surface. Both climate and weather are determined by sunlight, water, landforms and life forms. A K-12 teaching progression is also included.

End of Track
End of Track is the story of the Transcontinental Railroad’s construction march across southern Wyoming and the growing pains of a state in its infancy. It’s a story of incredible engineering achievements and boisterous “Hell on Wheels” towns. A story of greed and corruption, murder and mayhem; of a clash of cultures and Native American retaliation. But it’s also a story of hope and ambition, determination and unimagined success.

Trump trolls press about Greg Gianforte after Montana win
Trump trolls press about Greg Gianforte after Montana win
'Great win in Montana!' Trump trolls his traveling press corps with snark about congressional winner who body-slammed a political reporter 24 hours before the polls closed
Donald Trump took a moment away from diplomacy on Friday to do what he does best: troll the media about an election result.
'Great win in Montana,' he told a group of pool reporters as he strolled past them in the Sicilian town of Taormina, where this weekend's G7 summit is underway.
No one had asked the president about Thursday night's controversial election that saw Greg Gianforte win a seat in Congress despite physically assaulting a reporter 24 hours before.
Gianforte used his victory speech to apologize to the American journalist, The Guardian's famously mild-mannered Ben Jacobs, for body-slamming him to the ground and breaking his eyeglasses.
'Last night, I made a mistake and I took an action that I can't take back and I'm not proud of what happened,' Gianforte told supporters at his campaign headquarters in Bozeman, Montana.
When you make a mistake, you have to own up to it,' he said.
Jacobs had sought out Gianforte to interview him about health care policy and held his smartphone near the Republican candidate's face to record his responses.
That's when Gianforte snapped – with audio rolling. Democrats used the recording, which The Guardian published hours later, as the backdrop for a series of eleventh-hour campaign attack ads, but to no avail.
'I should not have responded the way that I did, and for that I am sorry,' Gianforte said Thursday night. 'I should not have treated the reporter that way.'
Thursday's election was a one-off exercise to replace former Rep. Ryan Zinke, who left Congress to become U.S. Secretary of the Interior.
Political wags came to view the contest as a referendum on Trump's leadership, with Democrats desperate to find a straw in the wind that might encourage their base to believe they have a shot at retaking the House from the GOP next year.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Thursday night that Gianforte's behavior was 'outrageous' and called him a 'wannabee Trump' whose default is to 'use language like that, treat people harshly like that – that's his model. Donald Trump's his model.'
Gianforte's supporters laughed Thursday night as he addressed how he flew off the handle, and shouted: 'We forgive you!' as he made his apology.
In the recording, Gianforte can be heard screaming: 'Get the hell outta here!' after knocking the journalist to the ground.
Jacobs, incredulous, replies: 'You just broke my glasses!'
But in the chaotic hours following the assault, Gianforte's campaign released a statement blaming Jacobs for the entire affair.
'Jacobs was asked to leave,' the statement said about Wednesday night's incident. 'After asking Jacobs to lower the recorder, Jacobs declined. Greg then attempted to grab the phone that was pushed in his face.
'Jacobs grabbed Greg's wrist and spun away from Greg, pushing them both to the ground.'
'It's unfortunate that this aggressive behavior from a liberal journalist created this scene at our campaign volunteer BBQ,' the statement concluded.
Officials say more than half of the ballots were cast by mail before Election Day. Montana law does not permit voters to change their minds.
A country sheriff charged Gianforte with misdemeanor assault late Wednesday night. He has until June 7 to appear before a judge. The charge carries a possible six months in jail and a $500 fine.

Impeachment trial of President Trump | Jan. 29, 2020 (FULL LIVE STREAM)
House impeachment managers and President Trump’s lawyers have concluded their opening arguments in the Senate. The impeachment trial moves into the question period for both sides on Jan. 29, when senators submit questions in writing to Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. The chief justice will read questions out loud, alternating between the majority and minority for up to eight hours.
Trump was impeached by the House of Representatives in December for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Impeachment does not mean that the president has been removed from office. In the next phase, the Senate must hold a trial to make that determination. A Senate impeachment trial has happened only two other times in American history and once in the modern era. At the center of the Democrats’ case is that Trump sought to withhold military assistance and an Oval Office meeting until Ukraine announced investigations into former vice president Joe Biden and his son.

Zip Lines in the Crazy Mountains in Montana / February 2011
Zip Lines in the Crazy Mountains near Clyde Park, Montana. There were nine total zip lines in all along the course. However, not all nine zips are included on this video. They vary in length, with the longest being 2000 feet. The total length and the 9 different zip lines, makes it the longest privately owned zip line course in the United States of America.
We've included the best of the video clips for the ones that show some style and others that bring a little humor to the table. They will also show you what it looks like from all angels, departues, and approaches from three guys in the group: (My friend, my guide, and myself.) You will also get a first-hand perspective of what it looks like when zipping above the earth 150 feet in the air for a distance of 2000 feet.
It was an excellent experience that I would gladly do again! Perhaps in a tropical jungel this time around. Where's that navigation system when you need it? You never know where you just might wind up. - Live today and each day after as if it was your last day on Earth, then with all of those memories, there will be no room for regrets.

Saving Places
Saving Places is a documentary about the preservation of highly threatened, historically significant buildings on public lands. It visits restoration projects across the country, including the Simpson Lake Lodge in Fremont County and the Bar BC Ranch in the Grand Teton National Park.
War of 1812 in the Old Northwest
In 1812, a very young United States of America had its sights set on expansion to the north and the west. But the British wanted to keep its former colony tightly contained. In the balance were the lands of the Northwestern Frontier.
England's Canadian provinces wanted a buffer zone between their lands and what they perceived as a hostile United States. The native peoples who called this land their home, wanted it declared a self-governing Indian territory; an independent nation. The United States wanted to settle the frontier, as they felt they had been promised at the end of the Revolutionary War.
The frontier was a gateway to further western expansion; a Great Lakes highway to natural resources; and a military challenge to the combatants.
The War of 1812 would decide who controlled the lands of the Northwestern Frontier, and the future of a continent.
