Bridlington Old Town – A video drive along the High Street -
Hopefully the video shows the High Street, not particularly at its best, more of how it is now. Although it is still a street of character and fine architecture along with a deep history.

It’s not all about the sun, sea and sand. Right in the heart of Bridlington is the Old Town. A world away from the bustling beaches, the Old Town offers a slower pace of life with lots of things to do and see. Make the most of this historic hub by following the Old Town Trail exploring some fine heritage landmarks along the way. The stunning Priory Church dates back to 1113AD and was originally one of England’s leading monasteries. This awe-inspiring building is definitely worth a visit. The Old Town is packed full of independent shops and galleries with plenty of hidden treasures to be found.

The Priory Park Singers are a Choir that formed in 2004. We have 30 members. The Choir boasts a very wide range of music in its repertoire including musicals, spiritual, plantation songs and choral. The Choir also performs carols at Christmas.
It is well known for helping St Nicholas Church with its candlelight service, which has seen the congregation increase in numbers each year. Many concerts have now been performed and the Choir welcomes any enquiries for their services, whether it be for a charity or to help raise funds for churches, village halls, sports clubs etc. We are also available in an afternoons and have a group of the Choir who are willing to visit Towns women Guilds, Age Concern, Women's Institute and the Yorkshire Country Women's Federation. The choir is also available for weddings.
Musical director, David Scotney, has previously conducted the Hull Junior Philharmonic Orchestra. He also plays the church organ and can be heard at St Stephen's Church, on Spring Bank, on most Sundays.

THE PRIORY: THE TEMPLAR SITES OF YORKSHIRE
QUEST TWENTY TWO: HESSLE, DRIFFIELD & SKIPSEA CASTLE:
For this quest to Yorkshire we ventured over the mighty Humber Bridge to our first port of call for the day.
ALL SAINTS CHURCH: HESSLE: The town of Hessle, near Hull is a pretty little town and the bight sunshine made it extremely picturesque. The church has been here since the twelth century with modernization in 1884; there are some rather interesting original carvings on dispay, showing anciet Galic symbols and the Neville family shield is on very prominent display here.
ALL SAINTS CHURCH: DRIFFIELD: The vicar very kindly came with the keys to let us in, as the church was unusually locked for the daytime. This church has been here since the early part of the twelth century and as always has been built over a site of earlier significance. There are many beautiful gargoyles, grotesques and other little stone creaturea all around the outside of the church, but please see our webpage for more stills from inside this lovely old church in Yorkshire.
SKIPSEA CASTLE: It was A beautifull and peaceful evening evening when we arrived here. I was unable to make it to the summit myself but the walk around the ramparts was stunning in itself. It is of course a site of one of the UK's hidden and placed pyramids, of which we are tracing and recording; the energy there does indeed testify to this fact and the video will explain more about the hauntings here at Skipsea Castle, the site of an ancient pyramid.
The family bloodline name significant to the area is once again that of The Nevilles.
