The City of London Cemetery toilets special, HL Twyfords & others
One of the largest cemeteries in London, maintained by The City of London and not Newham. A number of different sets of toilets available. I had fun finding these despite a few disappointments.
The first one is a set of male toilets in a small Victorian building with a LL Twyfords cistern at high level which provides a decent flush while the disabled turned out to be a low-mid level Twyfords. A view of some gravestones and then another more disappointing toilet and then a decent Victoria ladies toilet with white tiles and some replica pans and seats ad ceramic high levels.
Other toilets where CC disableds in a 1930s built building but with HL overflows but a third toilet was found for staff with a LL DM which shows these might have been a disappointment anyway and an even better early 20th centaury building that was closed and signage removed but HL overflows and I could work out black shapes of either Shires of Dauntless inside.
Toilets are also in the café, just a CC and a very modern setting elsewhere
An interesting find but I would have liked to seen more high levels and an older setting for the men to match the ladies

Disused Railway Series - Episode 001. MSWJR
This is it!, My first attempt at a light-hearted look at one of Britain’s disused Railways, the Midlands and South Western Junction Railway (M&SWJR), which eventually stretched from Redpost Near Andover up to Cheltenham. I chose this line first as it was close to my heart having walked it many times in the past. Go easy on my as it is indeed my first attempt! If you like it, please subscribe as there will be more, plus lots of bonus material.
If you like it, let me know what line you’d like us to cover next. We have pencilled in the Sprat and Winkle, and the Didcot, Newbury and Southampton Railway, but certainly open to suggestion.
This video wouldn’t have been possible without the massive resource that swindonsotherrailway.co.uk so please take a visit there, I assure you it is well worth your time.
If you are interested in the line there is still a section that runs today. Highly recommended visit: swindon-cricklade-railway.org they are also looking to extend the line further via a fundraising project which can be found here:

Titanic: Endless Love - The Incredible Journey
More than 100 years have sailed by since the world's most luxurious steamship, RMS Titanic, made its disastrous end in the North Atlantic sea, after crashing into an iceberg during its maiden voyage from London to New York. A deep-sea grave became the 'pinnacle of human achievement's' final destination in the early hours of April 15 1912.
One passenger, Ida Straus, a first-class female, who by all societal laws was most entitled to a lifeboat position. Offered a chance to survive, Ida Straus refused to go without her husband Isidor. Choosing instead to make the ultimate sacrifice for love, the love and devotion of Ida and Isidor, captured in their final moments together, lives on well beyond their lifetime, serving as a symbol of eternal love. This is their story.

Exploring Abandoned Railways : The Hamble BP branch - Friday 25th May 2018
Whilst street-viewing something else, I stumbled across some rails in a roadway, in the village of Hamble, Hampshire. They led onto, what looked like, a reasonably well kept bit of railway. This was the end of the branch line from Hamble station to the BP terminal & plant, on Southampton water. Further investigation revealed that most of the rails / infrastructure were still in place, if very overgrown. The Hamble Rail Trail pathway follows the course of the branch from near Hamble station and its this path that I followed whilst compiling this film.
