Hozier - Take me to church | TOUCH THE SOUL.

The world's first clownery-performance was held in Moscow in 3D format
April 19, 2011, in Moscow's cinema center Karo Film October, the first clownery premiere in the world was held in 3D format. The Russian Corporation General Satellite - the largest developer and manufacturer of television set-top boxes has made a movie version of Leonid Leikin's Show (by the Litsedei Theater) Fly and Saw, dedicated to Slava Polunin.
The Fly and Saw Program is a best creation by Leonid Leikin, a world famous unique clown, who for the last 12 years cheers up the spectators at the DU SOLEIL Circus.
Before the premiere, the Project-Makers shared with the assembled reporters the goal of such an unusual experiment as the clownery in 3D that they have decided to go for.
Our theater is very fond of everything innovative: we have been the first to leave the mime theater and create an established clownery theater, - Leonid Leikin said. - Therefore, when the General Satellite Company came to us with a proposal to tape the show in the 3D format, we readily agreed. Even in Soviet times, I loved to watch TV shows, and I am very sorry that this tradition is almost gone: The movie you can shoot anew, while each theater performance is unique, it is shot the way it is, and its value lies therein.
Pavel Chumakov the General Satellite Company's Innovation Director supported Leonid Leikin, It is very difficult to shoot such an action. We have long been engaged in the technology and content creation, yet this experience is the first one and is very important to us. In the movies, you can reshoot the take. A theater-play is sort of a frozen reality that cannot be repeated, so you need to shoot at the one and only attempt. Our Project is something new both technologically and as far as the creative vision is concerned.
After the official part, Leonid Leikin, Victor Solovyev, Anwar Libabov and Anna Orlova greeted the guests, and the young actors of the Litsedei tried to leave everyone with a nose: bright clown noses and flutes brought joy that evening not to the children only but also to all the participants.
Armen Dzhigarkhanjan, Oleg Mityayev, Nikita Vysotsky, Igor Ugolnikov with his wife, Helen Vorobei and her family, Catherine Strizhenova with her youngest daughter Sasha, Cornelia Mango, Viktor Chaika and other fans of Litsedei came to the premiere to congratulate their friends and colleagues. Armen Dzhigarkhanjan admitted it was for the first time in his life that he saw something in 3D and enjoyed trying on the glasses before the show.
The Premiere guests greeted the unusual movie-play: the applause did not cease throughout the entire show, so the Cinema Hall (designed to seat 1500 spectators) of the October Movie Center resembled a rather huge auditorium that evening. The Project-Makers hope that the 3D movie-play by Litsedei will soon be available to a wide range of Russian viewers.

SUMMARY
=======
Nicholas II or Nikolai II (Russian: Николай II Алекса́ндрович, tr. Nikolai II Aleksandrovich; 18 May [O.S. 6 May] 1868 – 17 July 1918), known as Saint Nicholas the Passion-Bearer in the Russian Orthodox Church, was the last Emperor of Russia, ruling from 1 November 1894 until his forced abdication on 2 March 1917. His reign saw the fall of the Russian Empire from one of the foremost great powers of the world to economic and military collapse. He was given the nickname Nicholas the Bloody or Vile Nicholas by his political adversaries due to the Khodynka Tragedy, anti-Semitic pogroms, Bloody Sunday, the violent suppression of the 1905 Russian Revolution, the execution of political opponents, and his perceived responsibility for the Russo-Japanese War (1904–1905). Soviet historians portrayed Nicholas as a weak and incompetent leader whose decisions led to military defeats and the deaths of millions of his subjects.Russia was defeated in the 1904–1905 Russo-Japanese War which saw the annihilation of the reinforcing Russian Baltic Fleet after being sent on its round-the-world cruise at the naval Battle of Tsushima, off the coasts of Korea and Japan, the loss of Russian influence over Manchuria and Korea, and the Japanese annexation to the north of South Sakhalin Island. The Anglo-Russian Entente was designed to counter the German Empire's attempts to gain influence in the Middle East, but it also ended the Great Game of confrontation between Russia and the United Kingdom. When all Russian diplomatic efforts to prevent the First World War (1914–1918) failed, Nicholas approved the Imperial Russian Army mobilization on 30 July 1914 which gave Imperial Germany formal grounds to declare war on Russia on 1 August 1914. An estimated 3.3 million Russians were killed in the First World War. The Imperial Russian Army's severe losses, the High Command's incompetent management of the war efforts, and lack of food and supplies on the home front were all leading causes of the fall of the House of Romanov.
Following the February Revolution of 1917, Nicholas abdicated on behalf of himself and his son and heir, the Tsarevich Alexei Nikolaevich. He and his family were imprisoned and transferred to Tobolsk in late summer 1917. On 30 April 1918, Nicholas, Alexandra, and their daughter Maria were handed over to the local Ural Soviet council in Ekaterinburg (renamed Sverdlovsk during the Soviet era); the rest of the captives followed on 23 May. Nicholas and his family were executed by their Bolshevik guards on the night of 16/17 July 1918. The remains of the imperial family were later found, exhumed, identified and re-interred with elaborate State and Church ceremony in St. Petersburg on 17 July 1998 – 80 years later.
In 1981, Nicholas, his wife, and their children were recognized as martyrs by the Russian Orthodox Church Outsid ...

SUMMARY
=======
Nicola Sacco (April 22, 1891 – August 23, 1927) and Bartolomeo Vanzetti (June 11, 1888 – August 23, 1927) were Italian-born American anarchists who were controversially convicted of murdering a guard and a paymaster during the April 15, 1920 armed robbery of the Slater and Morrill Shoe Company in Braintree, Massachusetts, United States. Seven years later, they were electrocuted in the electric chair at Charlestown State Prison. Both men adhered to an anarchist movement that advocated relentless warfare against a violent and oppressive government.After a few hours' deliberation on July 14, 1921, the jury convicted Sacco and Vanzetti of first-degree murder and they were sentenced to death by the trial judge. Anti-Italianism, anti-immigrant bias, and anti-left political motives were suspected as having heavily influenced the verdict. A series of appeals followed, funded largely by the private Sacco and Vanzetti Defense Committee. The appeals were based on recanted testimony, conflicting ballistics evidence, a prejudicial pre-trial statement by the jury foreman, and a confession by an alleged participant in the robbery. All appeals were denied by trial judge Webster Thayer and also later denied by the Massachusetts State Supreme Court. By 1926, the case had drawn worldwide attention. As details of the trial and the men's suspected innocence became known, Sacco and Vanzetti became the center of one of the largest causes célèbres in modern history. In 1927, protests on their behalf were held in every major city in North America and Europe, as well as in Tokyo, Toronto, London, Sydney, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Johannesburg, and Auckland.Celebrated writers, artists, and academics pleaded for their pardon or for a new trial. Harvard law professor and future Supreme Court justice Felix Frankfurter argued for their innocence in a widely read Atlantic Monthly article that was later published in book form. Sacco and Vanzetti were scheduled to die in April 1927, accelerating the outcry. Responding to a massive influx of telegrams urging their pardon, Massachusetts governor Alvan T. Fuller appointed a three-man commission to investigate the case. After weeks of secret deliberation that included interviews with the judge, lawyers, and several witnesses, the commission upheld the verdict. Sacco and Vanzetti were executed in the electric chair just after midnight on August 23, 1927. Subsequent riots destroyed property in Paris, London, and other cities.
Investigations in the aftermath of the executions continued throughout the 1930s and 1940s. The publication of the men's letters, containing eloquent professions of innocence, intensified belief in their wrongful execution. Additional ballistics tests and incriminating statements by the men's acquaintances have clouded the case. On August 23, 1977—the 50th anniversary of the executions—Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis issued a proclamation that Sacco and Vanzetti had been unfairly tried and convicted and that any disgrace should be forever removed from their names.
