Thornbury Village Craft Cider - Cider Making Process
Thornbury Village Cidermaster Doug Johnson explains the cider making process from apple harvest to bottling/canning the final product.
Red Prince Cider Launch
Here in Thornbury, we're neighbours with the Botdens, the only growers of the Red Prince Apple in Canada! We couldn't be more excited to announce our recent collaboration: Red Prince Apple Cider.
This dry, crisp cider will be available on tap at our Cider House and select local restaurants for a limited time only.
The Red Prince apple is harvested in October, then stored in a cold cellar until January. This process allows the apple’s acid to balance and it matures into a sweet crisp bite. Our cider reflects this aging process as we always age our cider in small batches here at Thornbury Village Craft Cider.
