Tobermory Ontario Road Trip
One of the most beautiful place in Ontario Canada! It's only about a 9-10 hour drive from Montreal, and is truly a gem! Not only that the sceneries are breathtaking, the people are super friendly! Very warm and welcoming.
During this 3 day trip we were able to visit, the little tub harbor. It is a small beautiful village, with amazing restaurants, shops and amazing views.
We also got the chance to take a boat to the famous flowerpot island passing by the sweepstakes shipwreck. The island itself makes you feel as if you are in the tropics, however, the temperature of the water is the complete opposite. Be warned, to all visitors, the water is definitely Canadian temperature LOL! And for those who have a phobia with snakes... well… you will definitely encounter some. But do not worry, these snakes are not poisonous.
On our last day, we just had to go and check out the Bruce Peninsula National Park and its famous grotto. This did not disappoint as well, it was surreal!

Founding of Meaford
In 1837 inhabitants of St. Vincent Township petitioned the government requsting that land at the mouth of the Bighead River be reserved as a landing Place. The Land was set aside, a town plot of Meaford laid out in 1845, and lots subsequently offered for sale. As early as 1841 a sawmill and a grist-mill had been built on adjoining land, several roads constructed to the landing and a post office called St. Vincent established. In 1865 this post office was re-named Meaford, which by that time had become a flourishing community, connected by steamers and road with the railhead at Collingwood. Meaford was incorporated as a town in 1874.
At the beginning of the movie you see a big red thing. That is an apple which is used as the tourist info. Meaford area is known for it's apple growers here in Ontario.

Run Blue Mountains 10k Course Video Thornbury Ontario
The Run Blue Mountains course takes advantage of the beautiful terrain and scenic country roads of the Beaver Valley. It features a picturesque route on paved and gravel roads that wind through the vibrant villages of Thornbury and Clarksburg and a portion of the beautiful Beaver Valley.
The Thornbury-Clarksburg Rotary Club is pleased to host this year's Run Blue Mountains. Proceeds will go to Children/Youth and Health Care projects in our community.

Review
About as basic as campsite in New Zealand can get while still doing its job well, Thornbury Bridge Picnic Area still has two huge positives going for it.
1.) It's a great place to ride out some bad weather (especially if you're in tents). The site offers many protected places to put up a tent that would shelter it from high winds.
2.) Its literally off the highway so its quite easy to get to.
If you're looking for somewhere scenic to stay, you should keep on driving. This is not a “destination” campsite but it will do for those in transit to someplace further away. The only thing to look at around here is sheep, and even they think you're silly for sticking around for more than one night.

Spend some time in Downtown offering a fabulous mix of soaring skyscrapers and heritage buildings intermingled with quaint boutiques. Soak up the peaceful vibes in The Village, one of the largest gay districts in North America, where you can dine al fresco in the summer when the main drag, Sainte-Catherine Street, becomes pedestrianised. Sip a cappuccino in Little Italy, home to one of the city's best markets, the Jean-Talon Market, or escape from the urban hustle to Pôle des Rapides, a 21km-long (12 miles) recreational park just minutes from downtown where you can enjoy a lazy cruise along the locks of the Lachine Canal.
Meanwhile, Montreal is the gateway to some incredible natural surroundings -- steal away to the Laurentians for a day or weekend trip to sample its golf courses, spa hotels and tiny mountain villages. Or head south east to the Montérégie, home to orchards, vineyards and maple groves. Meanwhile, the Eastern Townships draw legions of cyclists, thanks to 500km (310 miles) of winding biking trails through unspoilt countryside and towns characterised by Victorian architecture.
