Florence and Tuscany | Tuscan Wine Tour and Firenze
Hi and Welcome back to our Italy 2019 Mother-Daughter Vlogs!
In this vlog we left Lake Como for Firenze! It was my first time back to this lovely city in years, so I was excited to explore Florence with my mom and sisters. We had a lovely time taking in all the sites, and eating a lot of street food, especially gelato! Florence is a small city and so we decided to do a Tuscan Wine Tour. We visited Fattoria Poggio Alloro to start, where we sampled some wines, and ate cheese. We also got to meet the Chianina cows, and this for me was a bit traumatic. I had a strong emotional response to seeing these beautiful creatures. Next we visited the medieval town of San Gimignano, and got to explore this lovely historic town. After this we headed to our final winery called Tenuta Torciano. I personally really loved the winery, as we sampled many types of delicious wine, and ate a really lovely Florentine meal as well. It was very delicious and Gabriele was very sweet and charismatic. I recommend a wine tour when in Florence, there are a lot of options to consider in terms of wineries in Tuscany! I also mentioned our airbnb in Florence, it was so spacious, and in a perfect location. If you search for Old Florence - Ponte Vecchio flat with Elevator you will find it, here is the link:

Tuscan cuisine, incredible boutique shopping, and mesmerizing views at every turn, the city of Florence is nothing short of spectacular. Known worldwide as the birthplace of the Renaissance, Florence embodies the spirit of ancient Italy and has managed to preserve it for nearly 700 years. With over 350,000 who call the city home, and nearly 1.5 million who reside in its surrounding metropolitan area, Florence skillfully fuses the past with the present, creating a unique time capsule of ancient aesthetics housed within a hustling, bustling world of modern day Italy.
Containing a wealth of preserved artistic and architectural masterpieces, the city is home to almost one-third of the world’s artistic treasures, according to UNESCO, an organization which designates world heritage sites to preserve the world’s most important cultural locations and artifacts. With a near countless number of art galleries and over 45 museums – including the Uffizi gallery, the world’s best collection of Italian Renaissance art, and the Galleria dell'Accademia, home to the legendary statue of David – it is no wonder why the city captures the hearts and imaginations of all who visit. From the ancient churches and stunning buildings that line the city streets to the priceless artistic masterpieces created by Michelangelo, Botticelli, and Giotto housed within Florence’s galleries, the city is bursting with art and culture.
Florence’s influence can be felt in more than just the world of art. The capital of the region of Tuscany, Florence is the birthplace of the Italian language. It was famed Italian author Dante Alighieri and other writers such as Boccaccio and Petrarca who were the first to begin writing in a language other than Latin. Florence was also the first city in all of Europe to have paved streets. With its rich history and incomparable influence on modern Italian life, Florence certainly changed the way that most view Italy.
Florence, Italy | Firenze and Boboli Gardens Vlog
Hi & welcome back to part 2 of our Florence, Italy vlog!
In the last vlog we explored Florence and Tuscany, which can be found here:
In this vlog we continue to eat and explore our way through Florence. We also visit the Boboli Gardens of Firenze, and have a lovely last few days exploring this beautiful city before we leave for Roma. We eat a lot of gelato, including visiting a gelateria called Vivoli, as Florence is the birth place of gelato. We also eat street food, and even (FINALLY) at a lovely osteria called La Cantinetta. My mom, sisters, and I were in Florence for a total of 5 nights, which personally we felt was a bit long. It can easily be explored in 3 days, but we did enjoy the extra time to leisurely stroll around this city. Stay tuned for the next and final vlog from our Mother-Daughter Italy 2019 vlogs, as Rome is next!
Thanks so much for watching, and if you enjoy these travel vlogs, please give it a thumbs up and don't forget to subscribe so that you don't miss out on what is to come next...

About the Florence to Rome by Bike Tour
The contrasts are very noticeable as you leave behind Tuscany and arrive in the peaceful and mystical Umbria. As you cycle approximately 290km you will see cities like Assisi, Perugia, Spoleto and Terni, displaying an incredible wealth of art treasures, which take their visitors back to the Middle Ages.
The cities have barely changed over the centuries and the rolling landscape dotted with vineyards and hilltop towns will give you an appreciation of why the area is so popular with painters.
On mostly backroads the route winds through the valleys of the Apennines and gentle hills near to Trasimeno Lake. At the end, the Eternal City of Rome awaits you, a fitting end to this exhilarating Italian journey by bike.

Everything you need to know about the Rome Catacombs.
The Rome Catacombs were built just outside of Ancient Rome, since the city didn’t allow for burials within the city walls. The bus system in Rome can be a little confusing if you don’t speak the language, so we recommend joining a guided tour with an English-speaking tour guide or archaeologist. This way, you can take luxury transportation that goes directly to the Domitilla Catacombs, and not have to worry about any of the logistics.

Eating Our Way Through The Eternal City | Rome Vlog 1
Hi & Welcome back!
I was recently in my favourite city: ROME (at the end of May), and my sister (@juliasallure), and her boyfriend (Arek) stayed in an airbnb in Piazza Navona for 10 days! During this time Arek's mom and grandma came to visit us for a few of those days as well. We have a LOT of footage from our many days staying in Rome and so I will likely have to break up my footage into 4 parts. This is the first part of the Rome travel vlogs, and in this one we settle in from after our time spent in Poland. We eat some of our favourite Roman street food, and see a few sites along the way. There is a LOT in store for these vlogs, so please check back (and hopefully subscribe) so that you don't miss the following vlogs to come! I am a huge foodie, so I spent a lot of these vlogs eating at my favourite spots...
I will also link my guide to the best gelato in Rome, as well as the best restaurants in Rome, so that if you are visiting, along with these vlogs, you will also have a great food guide:
(Best Gelato in Rome)
(Best Restaurants in Rome)
I hope you enjoyed following along with my sister (& company), and I. We have a love of Rome, and I already cannot wait to be back! Like I mentioned, we visited in May, and it was actually quite the cold, and eventually rainy May, which was a bit unpredictable, but we still made the best of our time here!
Thanks so much for watching, and if you enjoyed this vlog, please leave a thumbs up and don't forget to subscribe to my channel :)
