Best Things to do in Kuala Lumpur - Overnight City Guide
Overnight is a travel and food show for today’s traveler and we’ve been working on this web series for 4 months now. In today’s time hungry world, people want to try and experience so much in so little time. In fact, we discovered that most people travelling around Asia would spend on average 36 to 72 hours in any given capital city. So we decided to the same thing. Overnight will go through 5 large Asian cities (Taipei, Saigon, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Seoul) and will attempt to show you what you can do during those precious few hours you have in the metropolis. From drinking, eating, discovering new cultures all the way up to clubbing. Overnight’s got you covered.
Here is your Kuala Lumpur City Guide!

WE STAYED IN THIS BEAUTIFUL ISLAND FOR FREE! | PULAU REDANG, MALAYSIA
(Recorded on April 23rd, 2018 - in case you’re wondering!)
We got to stay in this beautiful resort for free! Redang is an island off the coast of Terengganu, Malaysia. This place is a must-go for beach-lovers and those looking for a good place to get their first diving experience. We had an amazing time here snorkelling and just chilling after our long adventure in the Komodos. This is indeed, the place to chill. And we got to see some turtles!

How to Travel from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore by Train
In this video we travel from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Singapore.
KTM Intercity (Malay: KTM Antarabandar) is the brand name for a group of diesel-hauled intercity train services in Peninsular Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB).
Most services operate from Kuala Lumpur Sentral station in the Malaysian capital. A few operate solely along the East Coast line between Tumpat and Gemas and on to Singapore. There is also one cross-border train daily between Butterworth, Penang and Hat Yai, Thailand.

Hi, we are Erin and Francis, aka the Honeymooners! We love travel, animals, nature, space, music, coffee and good food….
...ABOUT US...
In 2016 we travelled extensively throughout South East Asia, and trekked all over the Himalayas of Nepal. We documented the entire trip on our Go Pro for our family and friends, but decided to post it all onto Youtube just for a bit of fun as well.
We are newlyweds, happily married since June 2019, and are now living out our dream goal we have had since our last overseas trip, of travelling the world for an entire year on our honeymoon. We have worked so hard towards this goal and want to document the entire journey with you all, so you can join us as we leave our footprints all over this beautiful world.
The world we live in is so diverse and rich with culture, yet the more we travel and the more people we meet along the way, we realise that people share so many similarities no matter what their background is.

Malaysia 6 days travel diary : Genting Highlands - Kuala Lumpur
Malaysia 6 days travel diary : Genting Highlands - Kuala Lumpur.
Malaysia is a Southeast Asian country occupying parts of the Malay Peninsula and the island of Borneo. It's known for its beaches, rainforests and mix of Malay, Chinese, Indian and European cultural influences. The capital, Kuala Lumpur, is home to colonial buildings, busy shopping districts such as Bukit Bintang and skyscrapers such as the iconic, 451m-tall Petronas Twin Towers. Resorts World Genting (Abbreviation: RWG), originally known as Genting Highlands Resort is an integrated hill resort development comprising hotels, shopping malls, theme parks and casinos, perched on the peak of Mount Ulu Kali at 1,800 meters high and nestled near the border between the states of Pahang and Selangor, Malaysia. The integrated hill resort represents a popular weekend getaway from the city heat, connected by major highways, trunk roads and cable cars service from Gohtong Jaya and is accessible by car within an hour drive from Kuala Lumpur (about 35 km), or accessible by two different cable cars, Genting Skyway which at its opening was the world's fastest and South East Asia's longest gondola lift, and the newer Awana Skyway. Kuala Lumpur, officially the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur (Malay: Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur), or commonly known as KL, is the national capital of Malaysia as well as its largest city in the country. The only global city in Malaysia, it covers an area of 243 km2 (94 sq mi). It is among the fastest growing metropolitan regions in South-East Asia, in both population and economic development (source : Wikipedia).

Travel Guide to Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur and Terengganu)
In this travel video travel guide to Malaysia, I travel to Malaysia's capital city, Kuala Lumpur, and to Terangganu, the country's second-largest city.
I start off my trip by exploring Kenyir Lake, located just west of Terangganu, which is actually the largest man-made lake in Southeast Asia (it's the size of Singapore). I head to the far end of the lake by speedboat to go trekking into the hilly jungle where I come across a school of hungry fish waiting for eager tourists like myself to provide them with a cheap snack. I then head back on the lake to explore the many islands that call this lake home.
Next, I head back onto the water -- this time onto the ocean -- to do a little squid jigging as part of the first annual Terengganu International Squid Jigging Fest. Squid jigging, for those of you that don't know, is the act of fishing for squid by hand with a line and hook, something I have questionable skill doing.
Back onto dry land, I explore the market in Terangganu, one of the best places to find fresh seafood in the entire country, and try some of the region's favorite desserts and iced coffee.
For the second half of the video, I head east to the capital city of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, where I -- what else? -- find some street food in the famous Chow Kit neighborhood, followed by a little more food in Kampung Baru, a sleeping Malay enclave flanked by the city's downtown tower.
I then take the monorail (!) to explore the Petronas Towers and the KL Tower, two of the city's most famous landmarks, followed by dinner in Jalan Alor, the city's famed outdoor street food district.
Finally, it's time for a little rest and relaxation back on the west coast of Malaysia at the island of Redang, one of the country's most beautiful tropical islands, where I get to experience what beach life is like in Malaysia.
Islands to Highlands in MALAYSIA - Paradise on a Budget
From the island of Langkawi to the Cameron Highlands just a few hours north of Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, these not so traveled destinations in Southeast Asia might have you think twice about your travel plans. Thanks to @Juvanis for joining me on this amazing trip!

PERHENTIAN ISLANDS IN MALAYSIA! My First Impressions, Finding Accommodation & the Best Beach | Vlog!
There are 2 Perhentian Islands, I planned to visit the small one however there is very limited accommodation available online so this is how I spent my first day. I arrived in the Port town of Kuala Besut at 18:30 which was too late to get a boat from Kuala Besut to the Perhentian Islands as the last boat leaves at 17:30 so I got a room in a hotel in town and left at 9:00am the next morning.
The boats run from Kuala Besut to both the big and small Perhentian Island, a return ticket is 70RM plus a 30RM conservation fee.
I had an accommodation recommendation on Long Beach so got off the boat there. After looking around on Long Beach I decided I didn’t really like it so walked to Coral Beach. I really liked Coral Beach and found accommodation to suit by budget for 50RM at Butterfly Chalet in a basic room but with an amazing view!
I spent the rest of the day chilling on Coral Beach and although I had doubted whether I should have visited the Perhentian Islands and instead just gone to Kuala Lumpur from Georgetown I’m glad I did go!
Most of the accommodation is not online on the small Perhentian Island however there are lots of chalets, huts and small hotels on different beaches, you do have to just arrive and look rather than book online.

Street Food in Malaysia - ULTIMATE MALAYSIAN FOOD in Kuala Lumpur!
Thanks to Oh My Media:
Subscribe for 2 new videos every week
T-shirts and caps:
Huge thank you to Fadhlur for reaching out and taking us on a Malaysian street food tour of Kuala Lumpur. It was an amazing day, and I have so much love to Malaysia as it was one of the first countries where I started making street food videos - as you’ll see in the video!
Ok, here are all the street food stalls and restaurants we ate at on this tour:
Mansion Tea Stall
The thing to order here is the roti canai special, roti that chopped up, then doused in a variety of curry sauces, sambal, and a few soft boiled eggs. It’s a perfect way to begin your day in Kuala Lumpur. Price - 2.80 RM ($0.68) per plate
Nasi Lemak Tanglin
Nasi lemak is often considered the national food of Malaysia, and there are plenty of places to eat it throughout Kuala Lumpur. Having been around since 1948, Nasi Lemak Tanglin is a place I had wanted to go for a while. It was overall very good, with a nice laid back atmosphere and surrounded by nature. Nasi lemak - about 8 RM ($1.94) per plate
Ikan Bakar Seri Melaka (Jalan Bellamy)
One of my favorite places to eat ikan bakar, grilled fish, is on Jalan Bellamy. Back in 2012, I had to hike over a highway and climb a few fences to get there as I was only on foot. In this video, I’m a bit older, and we had a car! The ikan bakar was just as good as I remember it. Total price - 68 RM ($16.51) for everything
Sri Ganapathi Mess
One of the best things about Malaysian food is its incredible diversity, including Malay, Chinese, and Indian food. Banana leaf south Indian food is very popular and I was recommended to try Sri Ganapathi Mess, a restaurant tucked away into a home. An amazing south Indian food experience in Kuala Lumpur. Price - 59 RM ($14.32) for 4 people
Kedai Kopi Lai Foong
Finally, another dish that many had recommended me was the unique clam noodles in Kuala Lumpur Chinatown at the legendary Kedai Kopi Lai Foong. It was delicious, and a perfect way to end an amazing Malaysian street food tour in Kuala Lumpur. Price - 10 RM ($2.43) per bowl
