CASABLANCA MOROCCO CITY TOUR - Travel Vlog
We are in Casablanca, the city known for the classic film Casablanca which just celebrated its 75th anniversary. The city is the most populous in Morocco located along the coast, known for having one of the largest mosques in the world, French influence, and faded grandeur. Here's looking at you kid!
First stop is the beach. Casablanca is a port city with many beach clubs along the ocean bluff. On the day we visited, it was raining - the first rain since May.
Next stop is Hassan II Mosque, the tallest minaret mosque and one of the top places to take photos. The mosque holds 25,000 people and the entire complex holds over 100,000 total. It is a popular pilgrimage site during Ramadan. We tour the mosque, including the wash room where it is the Islamic tradition to wash your hands and feet before prayer.
Next we tour the city and check into our Hotel - the Kenzi Basma.
► ►
Next, we take an adventurous walk across the street to the Sky 28 - the perfect view of the city.

Morocco Road Trip to Blue City - Is Casablanca Worth Visiting?
We drove from Marrakesh to Casablanca ended our day in Chefchaouen, also known as the Blue City of Morocco. Many people told us to skip Casablanca but we thought we would give it a shot. This was our experience.

10 Best Places to Visit in Morocco - Travel Video
Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman may have given the world Casablanca, but there is much more to see in Morocco than its largest city. This Atlantic coast country gives travelers the opportunity to experience life in an ancient Arabic culture, sunning on beaches or snow skiing in the mountains. Whether rambling through ancient medinas, sampling cuisine at a local souq or relaxing in the sun at a white-washed seaside town, the past is always present in this diverse and colorful country. Here’s a look at the best places to visit in Morocco:
Best way to Experience the Sahara Desert | Camping in Merzouga, Morocco
The final Morocco vlog is here! Camping in the Sahara Desert at a spot called Merzouga.
Here we rode camels to our remote campsite, spent the night eating Moroccan food and listening to music played by the locals.
In the morning we made our way back to our new campsite by camel ride before jumping into some Jeeps to go on Safari.
To end it all a big long 13 hour bus ride to Marrakesh so we can finally show you what staying in a Riad is like.
Next stop: Flying home to surprise Jess's brother for Christmas!

In our first episode we are in MARRAKECH! We are here to eat as much HALAL STREET FOOD as possible! We are spending the day exploring the ancient medina and eating a ton of food along the way. We start the day eating Bessara (Moroccan fava bean soup), and then visit the community bakery. We visit the first pastry shop in Marrakech to try some traditional sweets, and wash it down with freshly squeezed pomegranate juice. The medina features some cool shops that sell pickles and famous Moroccan mint. We have lunch in a busy corner of the market and try cactus fruit for the first time. We take a break from eating and visit the Secret Garden and then watch the sunset over the city. In the evening, we hit the night market for more food: Jemaa el-Fna. We eat the classic Moroccan street foods - like braised escargots!
What a HUGE day of eating traditional dishes and STREET FOOD in Marrakesh! MASSIVE thanks to Mohamed from Moroccan Food Tour for making this happen. Our road trip through Morocco has begun as we eave Marrakesh and make our way towards some of the coastal towns of this beautiful country.
First up we had a few more spots to see in Marrakesh with our first ever visit in the incredible Bahia Palace - honestly designing our future house after the Moroccan architects.
Our first stop is the coastal town of Essaouira, where we got to see the medina and a quick stop into the blue boat fishing village.
In the morning we made our way to Casablanca to see one of the most jaw dropping Mosques in the world - the Hassan II Mosque.
Final stop is the capital city of Rabat and it's unlike any town we have ever seen in Morocco so far.

Casablanca - Morocco | Street and City Life in Casablanca
Casablanca (Arabic: الدار البيضاء, translit. ad-dār al-bayḍāʾ; Berber languages: ⴰⵏⴼⴰ, translit. anfa; local informal name: Kaẓa), located in the central-western part of Morocco and bordering the Atlantic Ocean, is the largest city in Morocco. It is also the largest city in the Maghreb region, as well as one of the largest and most important cities in Africa, both economically and demographically.
Casablanca is Morocco's chief port and one of the largest financial centers on the continent. According to the 2014 population estimate, the city has a population of about 3.35 million in the urban area and over 6.8 million in the Casablanca-Settat region. Casablanca is considered the economic and business center of Morocco, although the national political capital is Rabat.
The leading Moroccan companies and international corporations doing business in the country have their headquarters and main industrial facilities in Casablanca. Recent industrial statistics show Casablanca retains its historical position as the main industrial zone of the country. The Port of Casablanca is one of the largest artificial ports in the world, and the second largest port of North Africa, after Tanger-Med 40 km (25 mi) east of Tangier. Casablanca also hosts the primary naval base for the Royal Moroccan Navy.
The original name of Casablanca was Anfa, in Berber language, by at least the seventh century BC.[citation needed] After the Portuguese took control of the city in the 15th century AD, they rebuilt it, changing the name to Casa Branca ([kazɐ'bɾɐ̃kɐ]). It derives from the Portuguese word combination meaning White House (branca white, casa house). The present name, which is the Spanish version (pronounced [kasaˈβlaŋka]), came when the Portuguese kingdom was integrated in personal union to the Spanish kingdom. During the French protectorate in Morocco, the name remained Casablanca (pronounced [kazablɑ̃ka]). In 1755 an earthquake destroyed most of the town. It was rebuilt by the Sultan who changed the name into the local Arabic which is Ad-dar Al Baidaa', although Arabic also has its own version of Casablanca (كازابلانكا, Kāzāblānkā). The city is still nicknamed Casa by many locals and outsiders to the city. In many other cities with a different dialect, it is called Ad-dar Al-Bida, instead.
Casablanca is located in the Chawiya Plain which has historically been the breadbasket of Morocco. Apart from the Atlantic coast, the Bouskoura forest is the only natural attraction in the city. The forest was planted in the 20th century and consists mostly of eucalyptus, palm, and pine trees. It is located halfway to the city's international airport.
The only watercourse in Casablanca is oued Bouskoura, a small seasonal creek that until 1912 reached the Atlantic Ocean near the actual port. Most of oued Bouskoura's bed has been covered due to urbanization and only the part south of El Jadida road can now be seen. The closest permanent river to Casablanca is Oum Rabia, 70 km (43.50 mi) to the south-east.

Travelling Morocco on Tour: Travel Vlog with John
If you couldn’t get enough of John on his whirlwind tour of Italy, fear not! He’s back and ready to bring you on even more adventures with TourRadar. This time, John’s travelling Morocco, and you can follow along as he visits all the must-see spots (along with some hidden gems!) in amongst the country’s natural world. If you’ve always dreamed of trying out everything an incredible country like Morocco has to offer, or if you’re looking for inspiration for your next trip, look no further than John’s Moroccan adventure!
Morocco is home to uniquely beautiful nature: there aren’t many places in the world that boast jagged cliffs, wild forests, and a piece of the Sahara Desert. Follow John as he ventures to the Todgha Gorge, a series of limestone river canyons known for their striking orange hue. There are few better ways to see Morocco than by hiking it -- except, perhaps, via camel! Travelling Morocco wouldn’t be complete without a ride on one of these unusual animals.
Between climbing sand dunes and hiking through the desert works up an appetite! Luckily for John, Moroccan hospitality is second to none. He has the chance to meet with a local and enjoy a glass of traditional tea -- and you have a chance to see it all. Follow John from desert to Kasbah as he walks in ancient history’s footsteps.
Travelling Morocco means there’s always an opportunity for adventure and culture. While this North-African country’s urban markets and bustling city centres are certainly something to marvel at, “the scenic route” takes on a whole new meaning here! We hope you’ve enjoyed watching John explore Morocco’s untouched nature, and, most importantly, we hope you’re excited about having a Moroccan adventure of your own!
From stark deserts to ancient cities and everything in between, travelling Morocco is always a good idea. Whether you’re getting excited about an upcoming trip or just daydreaming about those bucket-list destinations, it’s ever too early to start planning your own dream Moroccan tour. So what are you waiting for?

Amazing Morocco Road Trip - Casablanca - Is It Worth The Visit?
Link to part 2- Rabat:
We had the most amazing time travelling round Morocco back in April! We went to Casablanca, Rabat, Fes, The Blue City and Tangier, so we will be uploading a bit of a series for you, with a video for each place we visited ☺
We found watching other people’s YouTube videos about Morocco super helpful when planning our trip, so we hope that ours can inspire you to visit Morocco! We flew into Casablanca and explored the area for just one day, but this was enough to see all the sights. Looking back, we probably wouldn’t have bothered going out of our way to visit Casablanca, but as we flew into the Casablanca airport, we thought we’d take the time to look around anyway and we had a fab time.
Thank you for watching our first ever travel vlog, do keep an eye out for the next ones and let us know what you think in the comments, we’d love to do this more often! If you’d like to get in contact with us, then please follow us and message us through our socials below:
