It was only announced last year that some incidents from US's activities in Vietnam will never be released to the public for the security of the U.S and you can't help but wonder what those secrets are.
CIA activities in Vietnam were operations conducted by the Central Intelligence Agency in Indochina and then Vietnam from the 1950s to the early 70's, before and during the Vietnam War, what their activities were there we may never know. In the early 70s several soldier came forward saying that they had been on a C.I.A sanctioned mission on the Ho Chi Minh trail and told a story about being attacked by Lizard men, a couple of the soldiers even tried to take their stories to the papers but it was quickly buried. The Ho Chi Minh Trail was more than just a trail rather it was a series of trails, with some sections as large as highways. The Ho Chi Minh Trail was used by the North Vietnamese as a route for their troops to get into South Vietnam. In addition they used this trail as a supply route for weapons, ammunition, food, etc.
The Ho Chin Minh Trail ran along the Cambodia and Vietnam borders and was covered almost completely by jungles. The trail was over 1,000km in total and consisted of many parts.
The famous special operations group MACV-SOG was tasked with the mission of unraveling the secrets of the mysterious Ho Chi Minh Trail. In this podcast episode we spoke with Vietnam Author, Jason Economos who gives us a complete background of MACV-SOG as well as the Ho Chi Minh Trail.
