Agra Tourist Places | Best Places to visit in Agra
The tourist places in Agra are second to none.
Agra Ka Taj Mahal
It houses one of the seven wonders of the world, Taj Mahal and even has two other unesco world heritage sites.
So here is what I visited in Agra :-
1) TAJ MAHAL -
Words can not express it's beauty, one has to visit Taj Mahal to admire this monument of love.
Taj Mahal is closed during Friday's and opens from sunrise to sunset.
Foreign nationals fees is ₹ 1100/- and if one wants to visit the mausoleum he has to pay a additional fee of ₹200/-
I feel one should visit the Taj Mahal in the morning to avoid the rush.
One needs to hop on a Electric tuk tuk from the car parking area, charges are ₹10/- per person.
Shoe covers are also needed which will cost ₹10/-
Bag packs or any other carry bags are not allowed inside the Taj Mahal.
Regular Entry Fees for Indians ₹50
Location :-
2) AGRA FORT -
It's the residence of the Mughal Empire, it houses Sheesh Mahal, Akbar Mahal, diwan E Aam and a masque.
This red sandstone fort was even ruled by the Maratha Empire before coming under the British Empire.
Entry Fees for Indians ₹40
Location :-
3) FETHPUR SIKRI -
A town made by mughal emperor Akbar on the outskirts of Agra, it acted as it's second capital.
It houses a dargah of sufi saint Salim Chishti.
One has to park his car at the designated govt car parking at ₹100/- for visiting Fethpur Sikri.
There is a CNG bus that takes you to the fort for ₹10/- per person.
Entry Fees for indians ₹50
Location :-
4) AGRA SHOE MARKET -
Agra is the biggest footwear manufacturing hub in India. So one can shop for surplus goods from Sadar Bazaar and buy leather footwear at extremely reasonable prices.
Do watch my dedicated agra shoe shopping for reference.
5) AGRA STREET FOOD -
One can not miss Agra street food if one visits the Taj City.
I recommend you to savour Bedhai Puri, Alu Tikki Chat and Petha during your visit.
Do watch my dedicated agra street food for reference.

WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO DO IN AGRA? & BIG BIG MISTAKE! | Agra Vlog
Most people seem to say to get to Agra, see the Taj Mahal and then get out! However I had heard some people say that it is worth a few days and it is a good city.
I wanted to visit Agra and see what there is to do in Agra beyond the Taj Mahal so I gave myself 2 days in Agra to explore.
On my first day I went out with a tuk tuk driver and we visited Agra Fort which I really enjoyed, Kinari Bazaar, the Baby Taj and Mehtab Bagh. The next day I went to the Taj Nature Park.
I really enjoyed my time in Agra seeing different areas of the City although I admit that everything does revolve around the Taj Mahal but I think that that's fair enough!
I did make a big Agra travel mistake though because the day I planned to go into the Taj Mahal was Friday and the only day the Taj Mahal is closed is on a Friday!! Big mistake!

Agra Trip | Taj Mahal | Hostelworld | Indian Vlog #15
DISCLAIMER: This trip wasn't sponsored and neither is this vlog. I just wanted to record my trip and help anyone plan their Agra trip in some way.
Had a lovely trip to Agra with Tara, my cousin sis from Canada ^_^.
We would like to recommend the Bedweiser Backpackers Hostel in Agra.
We hired an auto (tuk-tuk) for INR 700 who took us to many places and waited for us. That ways, makes the whole Agra trip easier. The folks at the hostel recommended us to do that.
Gatimaan Express Train is great and one can book their train tickets through irctc.co.in (I would advice to book the coming and going tickets few weeks in advance).
Hope you all enjoy the Agra vlog! For an Indian the trip is affordable but foreigners the prices are high so it all depends on your budget. Info for these historical sights - the ticket prices info is easily available on Google.

Can Finally Tick Off The Taj Mahal | India Day IX
I SAW THE TAJ MAHAL!!
We got a private car from the Hyatt hotel in Delhi to the Taj Mahal in Agra. We left a roughly 7am for the 3 - 3.5 hour car ride. We had a pit stop half way to have a toilet break and to buy a coffee (which was surprisingly nice).
Once we arrived in Agra we picked up our guide went on to the Taj Mahal. When we got there, we had the option to walk the 1km walk to the ticket office or get a battery operated tuk-tuk (the heat influencing our decision to go with the tuk-tuk option). When buying our tickets we received a complimentary bottle of water and shoe covers. In the actual Taj Mahal opportunities to video were very limited, I tried to capture as much as I could but did't want to get caught.
After the Taj Mahal we went to the Agra Fort which was super big, so we wandered through it then headed to pinch of spice for lunch. The wait was too long as we wanted to get back on the road to delhi so we opted for a recommendation by the guide. Once we ate lunch we were on our way back to delhi (stopped for an ice cream along the way).
Back at the Hyatt hotel in Delhi I did some work while my mum (Gillian) went tot he gym and we then ate an all-you-can eat buffet to celebrate my last night in India!
