Viktor Shvaiko - Classical Contemporary Artist (Russia)
Viktor Shvaiko - Classical Contemporary Artist (Russia)
one of the foremost painters in the world
Viktor Shvaiko
One of the Soviet Union's most magnificent exports, Viktor Shvaiko is a classical contemporary artist. His manner of conveying warmth and mood through the canvas is near impossible to match. What's more, Shvaiko's use of rich colors in combination with his distinct eye for extraordinary locales makes his work both unique and familiar.
Born in the extremely rural town of Altai, Russia, Viktor Shvaiko was raised amongst the purest of natural beauty. With the wilderness as his muse, Shvaiko had no shortage of inspirations as an artistic child. His instinctive talent and ambitious drive landed Viktor at the exalted Novoaltaisk Artistic School, where he studied for several years.
Hard work and artistic growth notwithstanding, it wasn't long before Shvaiko felt he had exhausted all of the opportunities the Soviet Union at that time could provide. Unable to get a European visa, Shvaiko assumed the risk of death and bravely fled to Italy. Once there, he made a living by selling his paintings on the streets of Rome and further developing his craft.
Viktor Shvaiko has come an incredibly long way since his brief residency as an Italian street vendor. After receiving positive recognition for his work in America, Shvaiko's star continued to rise. Today, he is considered one of the foremost painters in the world. Subsequently, we at Greg Lane Fine Arts are delighted to feature a wide selection of his work. We encourage you to browse our online gallery and get a virtual firsthand glimpse of Shvaiko's style.

New Voronezh Radar System Leaves Its Western Counterparts In the Dust
Subscribe to Vesti News
On Monday, three next generation Voronezh radar stations have become fully operational in Barnaul, Yeniseysk, and Orsk. Thus, for the first time in history, across the perimeter of Russia's borders, a missile attack warning system featuring uninterrupted radar coverage has been created. There used to be gaps. Now, there are none. Now, we monitor every launch of a ballistic missile or a space vehicle from a distance of six thousand kilometers from our borders. The installations are unique. The team of designers received the State Prize at the Kremlin five years ago. It is clear that one should be careful when talking about advanced weapons of such scale. It is important not to say too much. Andrei Grigoryev will make an attempt not to.

The Kh-35 Uran anti-ship missiles can hit any surface ship in a 250 kilometer (~155.3 mile) radius. It's protected by the Redut missile system (the navy version of the S-400) from above and by the Paket-NK system against torpedoes and submarines from the sea below. Something to be proud of, but, in the President's opinion, not an excuse to stop here.
Advanced military technology is assumed to be the flagship of the entire industry. It can be used to make civilian products as well. Dual-purpose use.
