Venezia Venice Italy
Let's look together to the beautiful historic city Venice. It is one of the most visited Italian destination. Venice is the Queen of the Adriatic, city water and city lights. You will see the entire historical center square and basilica of St. Marca, Doge's Palace, canals and bridges, waterfront and harbor full of gondoliers and boats. Venice is a beautiful city and we recommend it to everyone to visit at least once in their lifetime.

My Youtube Channel Manifesto
I’ve just get back in Milan after a year and a half abroad.
During my trip I’ve been researching about the different lifestyle trends and business dynamics in the various European fashion and design districts.
Dublin, London, Bicester, Oxforord, Mancester, Copenhagen, Vienna and Ibiza inspired me each one of them in a different way.
I grab a camera at the first shopping mall on the way and I decided to create a Vblog on Youtube.
I'll do my videos in English, Italian and from time to time in Chinese! (with someone help). I will be struggling to perform my best english skills!
Anyhow I want to express myself in this global language.
My main goal is to strengthen and use foreign contacts to support and make foreing people better understand the alchemy of Italian style and its local and international protagonists.
The aim of my vblog is to explain with my reportage how Fashion, Design and Lifestyle are so important to develop and animate the two districts: Quadrilatero and Gae Aulenti.
I will be covering some of the iconic spots of Milan along with Fashion and Design weeks.
We will discover together the mechanisms and concepts about the Entertainment Design and the New Entertainment Retail. I hope you will enjoy it.
p.s. as a Vblogger I am a beginner!
Thank you

Italy's famous intersection finally has the female touch

10. SOUNDBITE: (Italian) Simona Mesiano, Rome Traffic Police
It is a special emotion because you climb up there, today is my first day, and I felt this responsibility given the importance of the intersection. I am proud and at the same time a little bit scared, but it went well.
11. Medium of Mesiano in traffic
12. SOUNDBITE: (Italian) Simona Mesiano, Rome Traffic Police
The most important gesture is the one to stop the flow, a strong clear gesture with the arms reaching up (note: gesturing with hand in air) to indicate to the whole flow of traffic that they have to stop. So it has to be a clear, visible gesture. So above all the hand open and at the same time with the other hand move the traffic that is coming from the opposite direction therefore making an undulating motion with the hand. It has to be delicate and not too frenetic.

16 SOUNDBITE (Italian) Cesarino Caioni, Commander Rome Traffic Police
We are trying to have an input of proximity of closeness to the population. So it seemed right to us to use this pedestal and insert the feminine element to add a note of, not just colour but warmth towards the people.

STORYLINE
Italy's most famous intersection finally has the female touch.
For decades it was thought a female traffic officer would be too distracting for Rome's male drivers.
But from this week policewomen are officially allowed to direct traffic from the pedestal at Piazza Venezia.
Simona Mesiano was, on Tuesday, one of the women with permission to step up on the pedestal and direct Rome's chaotic traffic scenes of cars, taxis, buses, mopeds, bicycles, pedestrians and horse-drawn carriages.
The pedestal is such a high-stress experience that traffic cops usually take turn for 10 minutes at a time.
The role of Piazza Venezia traffic cop became famous when Italian actor Alberto Sordi in the film The Traffic Cop stepped up on the pedestal and created chaos in the area.
Rome's traffic police are elegant figures on the streets of Rome, wearing gold-buttoned uniforms, white gloves and white top hats.
The new Vigilesse, as the women traffic cops are referred to in Italian, are nonetheless taking their new job very seriously.
Mesiano, who had her first day on the pedestal on Tuesday, said it required some very clear gestures, like a strong flat hand with a raised arm for stop and an undulating motion to get the traffic moving.
Her commander Cesarino Caioni was proud with the decision to let women up on the pedestal, saying the female traffic cops added colour and warmth.

The Other David | Walks of Italy
What would you do if you were tasked with making a second version of one of the greatest works of art ever produced? This is the question Bernini had to answer when he got the commission to sculpt his own version of 'David' - the biblical hero that Michelangelo had recreated from marble so famously with his work in Florence. To answer it, he set about making one of the most jaw-dropping sculpture of the Baroque period, a piece that managed to passion, strength, ambition, and an incredible sense of dynamism. Like no other 'David' before it, and like no other 'David' after, it stands in a class of its own.
You can see the sculpture for yourself on our Borghese Tour - one of the best ways to get inside Rome's most exclusive art museum:
