Travel Vlog 7: Oxford part 1 - walking with footprint tours
//with captions and subs in spanish//
My first visit to oxford, I booked through with footprint tours, rated as the best company in oxford, and had a great time.
They offer free walking tours, but I took the longer University and City Tour. I wanted the Bike/Walking one but they had no spots and I limited time.
I definitely recommend the tour and the company if you find yourself in oxford in need of a guide.
This is part 1 cause oxford is so amazing I cannot possibly condense it into one video (the original draft was somewhere around 15 minutes) so there's more in the way, about the botanical garden, a ride in a pedaloo and so on.

Hey Guys!
I am taking a quick tour around Oxford! So much history with University of Oxford located here. Excellent experience that I hope you all enjoy!
More information Below:
Oxford:
Oxford is a city in the South East region of England and the county town of Oxfordshire. With a population of 159,994, it is the 52nd largest city in the United Kingdom, and one of the fastest growing and most ethnically diverse.
University of Oxford :
The University of Oxford (informally Oxford University or simply Oxford) is a collegiate research university located in Oxford, England, United Kingdom. While having no known date of foundation, there is evidence of teaching as far back as 1096, making it the oldest university in the English-speaking world and the world's second-oldest surviving university.
The university is made up of a variety of institutions, including 38 constituent colleges and a full range of academic departments which are organised into four divisions. All the colleges are self-governing institutions as part of the university, each controlling its own membership and with its own internal structure and activities. Being a city university, it does not have a main campus; instead, all the buildings and facilities are scattered throughout the city centre.

Things to do in Oxford, England: 2 minute guide to the top attractions
Visitor Vids tourist guide to Oxford, England. Make the most of your day out with our brand new, two minute guide to the top visitor attractions in Oxford.
Oxford, some 50 miles west of London, is nicknamed the ‘City of Dreaming Spires’. The town revolves around the world-renowned university. Established in the 12th century, there are more than 30 Oxford colleges. Situated in the medieval centre of Oxford – here are three of the most popular.
Christ Church - founded by Cardinal Thomas Wolsey in 1524. Its former students include no less than 13 British prime ministers. With its imposing Tom Tower, (the upper part of which was designed by former student Sir Christopher Wren) and Oxford’s greatest quad, the college has also found recent fame as a location for Harry Potter films.
14th century New College was the first college in Oxford for undergraduates – with an impressive chapel and hall, it is a fine example of the Perpendicular Gothic style.
As you walk along New College Lane, look up at the steeped Bridge of Sighs linking the two halves of Hertford College to New College.
Magdalen, founded in 1458, is one of the wealthiest and most beautiful of Oxford's colleges. It has a reputation as a writer’s college. Look out for its fantastic cloisters.
Two other must sees are the Bodleian Library, founded by Sir Thomas Bodley in 1565 and the Radcliffe Camera, one of the city's most photographed buildings.
Oxford also boasts some spectacular museums – amongst the best are the Ashmolean – established in 1683 it is Britain's oldest public museum and The Pitt Rivers anthropological museum.
Oxford is a vibrant city, with a wide selection of shops, hotels and restaurants. Wander through the High Street, past the Carfax Tower (with city views), make a detour to medieval Oxford Castle, continue past the Covered Market towards the Botanic Garden and the beautiful river Thames, called the Isis.

Mount Oxford [4K]
Love this range just north of oxford. Less than hour from the front door. Checked it out a few months back but the weather was appalling and couldn’t see 100m at the top. To get some views second time around was super worth it. also kind of deceivingly long for a local weekend wander - 20km and over 1500m of elevation. Mount Thomas and Richardson to the northeast are also great and a bit shorter for a few hours run/hike.

Walking around London LiverPool Station to The Shard | 4k | Ambient Music
Hey Guys, here is the music version of when I took a trip to London, which is by the way one of my favorite places to walk around and take in the sights. Here is a walking tour from LiverPool Station, through the banking district, along the river thames, across Tower Bridge, and to the Shard. Everything is filmed in 4k using the DJI osmo Mobile 2 and a Gopro Hero 6.
Info On London:
London (/ˈlʌndən/ (About this sound listen) LUN-dən) is the capital and most populous city of England and the United Kingdom.[8][9] Standing on the River Thames in the south east of the island of Great Britain, London has been a major settlement for two millennia. It was founded by the Romans, who named it Londinium.[10] London's ancient core, the City of London, largely retains its 1.12-square-mile (2.9 km2) medieval boundaries. Since at least the 19th century, London has also referred to the metropolis around this core, historically split between Middlesex, Essex, Surrey, Kent and Hertfordshire,[11][12][13] which today largely makes up Greater London,[14][15][note 1] a region governed by the Mayor of London and the London Assembly.[16][note 2][17]
London is a leading global city[18][19] in the arts, commerce, education, entertainment, fashion, finance, healthcare, media, professional services, research and development, tourism and transportation.[20][21][22] It is the world's largest financial centre[23][24][25][26] and has the fifth or sixth largest metropolitan area GDP in the world.[note 3][27][28] London is often regarded as a world cultural capital.[29][30][31] It is the world's most-visited city as measured by international arrivals[32] and has the world's largest city airport system measured by passenger traffic.[33] It is the world's leading investment destination,[34][35][36][37] hosting more international retailers[38][39] and ultra high-net-worth individuals[40][41] than any other city. London's universities form the largest concentration of higher education institutes in Europe. In 2012, London became the first city to have hosted the modern Summer Olympic Games three times.
London has a diverse range of people and cultures, and more than 300 languages are spoken in the region.[44] Its estimated mid-2016 municipal population (corresponding to Greater London) was 8,787,892, the largest of any city in the European Union and accounting for 13.4% of the UK population.[46] London's urban area is the second most populous in the EU, after Paris, with 9,787,426 inhabitants at the 2011 census. The city's metropolitan area is the most populous in the EU with 14,040,163 inhabitants in 2016,[note 4][3] while the Greater London Authority states the population of the city-region (covering a large part of the south east) as 22.7 million. London was the world's most populous city from around 1831 to 1925.
London contains four World Heritage Sites: the Tower of London; Kew Gardens; the site comprising the Palace of Westminster, Westminster Abbey, and St Margaret's Church; and the historic settlement of Greenwich (in which the Royal Observatory, Greenwich defines the Prime Meridian, 0° longitude, and GMT). Other landmarks include Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, Piccadilly Circus, St Paul's Cathedral, Tower Bridge, Trafalgar Square and The Shard. London is home to numerous museums, galleries, libraries, sporting events and other cultural institutions, including the British Museum, National Gallery, Natural History Museum, Tate Modern, British Library and West End theatres. The London Underground is the oldest underground railway network in the world.
Hope You Enjoyed It!

1 day trip to Oxford/Harry Potter
Instagram:
As I promised here are some recommendations on what to see in Oxford.
1. If you are traveling from London use the period ticket from Oxford tube. The return ticket is for 15 pounds and you can come back whenever you want to. the same day, day after, 2 days later..etc.
2) plan what you want to see before you come. We wanted to see Oxford university but it is closed for tourist. There are so many beautiful collages you can see.
3) I really enjoyed the rooftop in a shopping mall called Westgate
4) HARRY POTTER LOVERS there are so many places you can visit. The place I visited with a quick video from the movie in my Video is Cloisters. Christ Church College. (5 pounds but worth it) Also the bridge of Sighs. There are so many others Harry Potter spots
5) Bridge of Sighs
6) It is a pretty small place so you can see easily all the places and colleges here. Also, monuments which I really enjoyed
7) FIVE FEET APART MOVIE. Very recommended. Romantic, funny, sad, true story. (real sickness, real rules)
A weekend in Oxford ♥️
Oxford, England - Whenever travel enthusiasts like me hear the place Oxford, one word comes into my mind - sophistication. It has been another bucketlist for me to wander around this city where the prestigious University of Oxford was established. I had the privilege to enjoy a weekend with friends in this city rich of culture and history. A part of our itinerary was a Harry Potter Film Location walking tour with our lovely Italian tourist guide, Katerina. Besides strolling around various colleges in Oxford University where the Harry Potter movies were filmed, we've discovered this quaint city's famous landmarks, its years of literary and academic history through visiting their famous museums. This place has so much to offer and I would definitely come back maybe on a warmer season and by chance witness activities such as punting with Oxford university students. I hope you enjoy this short video of our trip in Oxford city! :)
