Low Life Scum attacks Southampton Poppy Wreaths at Watts Park in Southampton
Man attacks Poppy memorial wreaths at Watts Park in Southampton - Daily Mail
The video, filmed in a park in Southampton, Hampshire, shows the man chucking the wreaths around, as shocked onlookers stare at him. Dressed in a dark coat, a small pair of shorts and some bright red shoes, the man does not appear to say anything or to give any reasoning for his actions. He makes his way up and down the steps on the memorial in the city centre Watts Park, and discards at least seven of the flower arrangements. It comes less than fortnight since Remembrance Sunday, when the nation came together to pay their respects for those who have lost their life in wars - this year marking 100 years since the Battle Of The Somme.

1939 Southampton Cenotaph & Eastleigh Airport visited by French Army Officers
Southampton Cenotaph, situated in Watts Park, is listed at Grade I for the following principal reasons: * Historic interest: as an eloquent witness to the tragic impacts of world events on this community, and the sacrifices it made in the conflicts of the C20; * Architect: by the nationally renowned architect Sir Edwin Landseer Lutyens (1869-1944), who designed 58 memorials at home and abroad including the Cenotaph in Whitehall; * Architectural interest: the first iteration by Sir Edwin Lutyens of a template which was to be adopted across the nation for some of its most notable war memorials, most notably the Grade I-listed Whitehall cenotaph; * Design: the elaborate design is notable for the wealth of carved decoration in comparison to the austerity of cenotaphs that were to follow; * Group value: the memorial is a prominent feature of the registered Central Parks (Grade II), in which stand a number of listed statues and the nearby Monument to the Engineers of the Titanic (1912).

Hundreds gather for Remembrance Sunday service
A sea of red wreaths filled the Cenotaph on Sunday as the community came together to remember the fallen heroes.
A parade from the Civic Centre to the monumental tomb took place at 10:30am.
Hundreds of people from all over Southampton gathered in Watts Park for the annual service led by the Rector of Southampton Reverence Dr Julian Davies and Pastor of the City Centre Catholic Parish, Monsignor Vincent Harvey.
All pinned with poppies to commemorate the soldiers who have died in the war. The donation for the poppy also raises money for the former and current British military personnel through the 'Poppy Appeal' run by The Royal British Legion.
The Mayor of Southampton, Ivan White and representatives from all three services and community leaders from all faiths also spoke at the Remembrance Day service.
The bells chimed as the crowd bowed their heads for a two-minute silence to pay respect for those who have lost their lives fighting for the country.
Wreaths were laid by members of the services and then by the public, covering the Cenotaph's steps in red to mark the occasion.
Next year marks the 100th anniversary of the First World War and Dr Julian Davies said there will be special things 'being planned' for it.
Lest We Forget.

Isaac Watts - The Psalms Of David (the life of Isaac Watts)
Isaac Watts (July 17, 1674 – November 25, 1748) was an English hymnwriter, theologian and logician. A prolific and popular hymnwriter, he was recognised as the Father of English Hymnody, credited with some 650 hymns.
Many of his hymns remain in use today, and have been translated into many languages. Born in Southampton, England, in 1674, Watts was brought up in the home of a committed religious Nonconformist — his father, also Isaac Watts, had been incarcerated twice for his controversial views. At King Edward VI School (where one of the houses is now named Watts in his honour), Watts learned Latin, Greek and Hebrew.

Birmingham, United Kingdom. Economy, History, Best Time
Birmingham is considered the social, cultural, financial, and commercial centre of the Midlands. It is frequently referred to as the United Kingdom's second city. Birmingham grew in the 18th-century Midlands Enlightenment and subsequent Industrial Revolution, which saw advances in science, technology, and economic development, producing a series of innovations that laid many of the foundations of modern industrial society. By 1791 it was being hailed as the first manufacturing town in the world.
HISTORY
There is evidence of early human activity in the Birmingham area dating back to around 8000 BC. The Watt steam engine was invented in Birmingham. Birmingham's explosive industrial expansion started earlier than that of the textile-manufacturing towns of the North of England. In world war 2nd Birmingham was bombed heavily by the German in what is known as the Birmingham Blitz.
POPULATION
Birmingham is the second-most populous city in the United Kingdom, after London. It is also the most populous metropolitan district in the United Kingdom. Christianity is the largest religion within Birmingham, with 46.1% of residents identifying as Christians. outside London, Birmingham has the United Kingdom's largest Muslim, Sikh and Buddhist communities.

TRANSPORT
Birmingham Airport is situated just outside the city, in Solihull, about 8 miles east of central Birmingham, serving the city and the rest of the West Midlands region with frequent domestic and international flights. A free Air-Rail Link connects the airport Passenger Terminals with Birmingham International Rail Station. Birmingham is a major hub of Britain's rail network.
ECONOMY
