CASABLANCA MOROCCO CITY TOUR - Travel Vlog
We are in Casablanca, the city known for the classic film Casablanca which just celebrated its 75th anniversary. The city is the most populous in Morocco located along the coast, known for having one of the largest mosques in the world, French influence, and faded grandeur. Here's looking at you kid!
First stop is the beach. Casablanca is a port city with many beach clubs along the ocean bluff. On the day we visited, it was raining - the first rain since May.
Next stop is Hassan II Mosque, the tallest minaret mosque and one of the top places to take photos. The mosque holds 25,000 people and the entire complex holds over 100,000 total. It is a popular pilgrimage site during Ramadan. We tour the mosque, including the wash room where it is the Islamic tradition to wash your hands and feet before prayer.
Next we tour the city and check into our Hotel - the Kenzi Basma.
► ►
Next, we take an adventurous walk across the street to the Sky 28 - the perfect view of the city.

WALKING IN CASABLANCA | 20 Hours Layover in Morocco
WALKING IN CASABLANCA | 20 Hours Layover in Morocco
CASABLANCA MARRUECOS
On my way to Brazil I had a 20 hours layover in Casablanca, Morocco. Traveling with Royal Air Morocco I had a paid hotel, transport and food.
About Casablanca:
Casablanca is located in the central-western part of Morocco bordering the Atlantic Ocean, is the largest city in Morocco. It is also the largest city in the Maghreb, as well as one of the largest and most important cities in Africa, both economically and demographically.
Casablanca is Morocco's chief port and one of the largest financial centers on the continent. According to the 2014 population estimate, the city has a population of about 3.35 million in the urban area and over 6.8 million in the Casablanca-Settat region. Casablanca is considered the economic and business center of Morocco, although the national political capital is Rabat.
The leading Moroccan companies and international corporations doing business in the country have their headquarters and main industrial facilities in Casablanca. Recent industrial statistics show Casablanca retains its historical position as the main industrial zone of the country. The Port of Casablanca is one of the largest artificial ports in the world, and the second largest port of North Africa, after Tanger-Med 40 km east of Tangier. Casablanca also hosts the primary naval base for the Royal Moroccan Navy.
Royal Air Maroc has its head office at the Casablanca-Anfa Airport. In 2004, it announced that it was moving its head office from Casablanca to a location in Province of Nouaceur, close to Mohammed V International Airport. The agreement to build the head office in Nouaceur was signed in 2009.
The biggest CBD of Casablanca and Maghreb is in the North of the town in Sidi Maarouf near the mosque of Hassan II and the biggest project of skycrapers of Maghreb and Africa Casablanca Marina.

WELCOME TO RABAT MOROCCO - TRAVEL VLOG
Rabat is the capital city of Morocco in North Africa and the political and administrative center of the country. In this vlog, we visit the traditional Moroccan guards, walk the Kasbah, and photograph the ruins of Chellah.
While it is less touristy than Marrakesh, it is filled with impressive historic sights. It is one of four Imperial cities of Morocco, and the medina of Rabat is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Chellah - This is an ancient Necropolis with scenic gardens, Roman Ruins, Islamic Architecture and 13th C Mosque. We also listen to the traditional Moroccan music.
Mausoleum of Mohammed V
A richly ornate mausoleum where we photograph the Moroccan Architecture and guards.
Kasbah of the Udayas
Also known as Kasbah les Oudaias, this is the most picturesque part of Rabat. The Kasbah has beautiful alleyways with whitewashed and blue walls. Scenic views of the Bouregreg River and the Andalusian Gardens.

Amazing Morocco Road Trip - Casablanca - Is It Worth The Visit?
Link to part 2- Rabat:
We had the most amazing time travelling round Morocco back in April! We went to Casablanca, Rabat, Fes, The Blue City and Tangier, so we will be uploading a bit of a series for you, with a video for each place we visited ☺
We found watching other people’s YouTube videos about Morocco super helpful when planning our trip, so we hope that ours can inspire you to visit Morocco! We flew into Casablanca and explored the area for just one day, but this was enough to see all the sights. Looking back, we probably wouldn’t have bothered going out of our way to visit Casablanca, but as we flew into the Casablanca airport, we thought we’d take the time to look around anyway and we had a fab time.
Thank you for watching our first ever travel vlog, do keep an eye out for the next ones and let us know what you think in the comments, we’d love to do this more often! If you’d like to get in contact with us, then please follow us and message us through our socials below:

Welcome in Morocco / Corniche Ain Diab - Casablanca
Casablanca - Morocco | Street and City Life in Casablanca
Casablanca (Arabic: الدار البيضاء, translit. ad-dār al-bayḍāʾ; Berber languages: ⴰⵏⴼⴰ, translit. anfa; local informal name: Kaẓa), located in the central-western part of Morocco and bordering the Atlantic Ocean, is the largest city in Morocco. It is also the largest city in the Maghreb region, as well as one of the largest and most important cities in Africa, both economically and demographically.
The Port of Casablanca is one of the largest artificial ports in the world, and the second largest port of North Africa, after Tanger-Med 40 km (25 mi) east of Tangier. Casablanca also hosts the primary naval base for the Royal Moroccan Navy.
The original name of Casablanca was Anfa, in Berber language, by at least the seventh century BC.[citation needed] After the Portuguese took control of the city in the 15th century AD, they rebuilt it, changing the name to Casa Branca ([kazɐ'bɾɐ̃kɐ]). It derives from the Portuguese word combination meaning White House (branca white, casa house). The present name, which is the Spanish version (pronounced [kasaˈβlaŋka]), came when the Portuguese kingdom was integrated in personal union to the Spanish kingdom. During the French protectorate in Morocco, the name remained Casablanca (pronounced [kazablɑ̃ka]). In 1755 an earthquake destroyed most of the town. It was rebuilt by the Sultan who changed the name into the local Arabic which is Ad-dar Al Baidaa', although Arabic also has its own version of Casablanca (كازابلانكا, Kāzāblānkā). The city is still nicknamed Casa by many locals and outsiders to the city. In many other cities with a different dialect, it is called Ad-dar Al-Bida, instead.
Casablanca is located in the Chawiya Plain which has historically been the breadbasket of Morocco. Apart from the Atlantic coast, the Bouskoura forest is the only natural attraction in the city. The forest was planted in the 20th century and consists mostly of eucalyptus, palm, and pine trees. It is located halfway to the city's international airport.
The only watercourse in Casablanca is oued Bouskoura, a small seasonal creek that until 1912 reached the Atlantic Ocean near the actual port. Most of oued Bouskoura's bed has been covered due to urbanization and only the part south of El Jadida road can now be seen. The closest permanent river to Casablanca is Oum Rabia, 70 km (43.50 mi) to the south-east.
Travel to Morocco in 4K
A magnificent weeks' journey through this breathtaking north African country, Morocco.
Our journey started in the blue city, Chefchaouen then to the bustling medina of Fez. After Fez, we spent a night in the Sahara Desert after a camel-back ride during sunset and ending our journey in the busy streets of Marrakech.
Wished we spent more time in Morocco but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay while it lasted, especially the wonderful people, riads and scenery.
Here I compiled a short video summarizing our journey. Enjoy watching, and set the video quality to 4K/2160p for your viewing pleasure.
And one other thing, don't forget to like & subscribe for other travel videos in the future!

MARRAKECH - 4 Days in Morocco 2019
Marrakech was a 4 day holiday to escape the wet winter of the UK. The city is beautiful with coffee shops and restaurants on every rooftop available. This makes for some amazing views (although a traditional law does not allow for buildings tone built higher than a palm tree).
The city was heavily touristic and the locals will take every single opportunity to squeeze as much money from you as possible. Do not listen or trust anyone offering help or assistance (i.e the road is closed or i will help you home) work things out for yourself as they will always hassle you for money and take you the wrong way home anyway! Bargain hard with the souk owners, they will start prices 3/4 times what the items worth.
Setti Fatma was a 25 Euro day trip which was a nice break from the hectic medina city centre.

We recently visited Morocco and took the train from Marrakech to Casablanca. It was scheduled for 3.5 hours, but took a bit longer than 4 hours. It was a pleasant experience for all. We recommend getting the 1st class tickets for a bit more space and comfort.
