We start our South Africa adventure in Cape Town. Here we stay at the Taj Hotel and get a surprise upgrade to a sweet room with a view. The drone footage was shot around Camps Bay and in Gaansbai, where we are waiting for our next adventure: Shark cage diving :)

The BEST place to Stay in CAPE TOWN | South African Adventures Pt. 3 | Farm Animals and WINE TASTING
For the first half of our South African Adventure, we stayed at the BEST PLACE just outside of CAPE TOWN: the Anna Beulah Farm. and we highly recommend it!
If you are traveling with a larger group or just have a family with kids, you will absolutely love this place! It is stunningly beautiful, the cabin and the cottage are both amazing, and there are a ton of things for your children to do like petting the sheep, miniature horses, donkeys, and rabbits; chasing the chickens and roosters all over the place; and our favorite—playing with TINA the llama and her trusty sidekick!
If you get REALLY lucky, Jacques might even take you all for a ride in the back of the bakkie (which is the South Africa name for a pickup truck)! Our kids were absolutely over the moon with that and when you drive up to the top of their property, you get views almost 270 degrees. In fact, we saw our best sunsets in South Africa right from the front porch of our two-story cabin, which slept 7 of us and had a great kitchen and a braai (bbq) out front for us to use, which we did several times. HOW WE DO!
They also have an amazing deli/restaurant, which we ate at several times for breakfast and brunch. Hendrick knows his way around a kitchen and his boerie breakfast with South Africa boerewors (sausage) and his stone ground bread were some of the best meals we had while we were in the country.
In addition to kicking it around the farm for a few days, this week we also went wine tasting in the Stellenbosch area at a brand-new winery named Louisvale. It was a gorgeous property with excellent modern architecture, fantastic wine, and delicious food. What’s more, it was set against these awesome bloubergs (blue mountains), which are so synonymous with the Western Cape region. We even got a rainbow arcing over the entire backdrop while we spent the whole day there enjoying time with our family and relatives.
Finally, it was a week to spend with family. Our grandmother turned 90, which is the reason we left the hybrid travel trailer behind and made the 10,000 mile journey in the first place. We got to finally introduce our son to his namesake and they were fast friends, which was incredible. We also spent the weekend celebrating Ouma’s life and legacy with her and it was so special to be a part of that. She’s an amazing lady who has lived an amazing life and we should all be aspiring to have as much love and success as she’s been able to achieve.
This one marks the end of our adventures in Cape Town, but we’ve still got a ton of exploring South Africa in the weeks to come before we get back on the road in the RV and head out to Lopez Lake back in the good old US of A. We can't wait to share the rest of our South African Adventures with you , and in the meantime we're encouraging you to get out there with your friends, family, and loved ones... forget about the stresses of work and start focusing on #WhyWeWork!
