Tampa Water Street District - 2019 Update

Tampas new Water Street, a downtown development is re-inventing the downtown core of this growing gulf Coast City appealing to a dynamic Urban Lifestyle. It doubles the size of Tampa’s current downtown and is a radical change for the skylinie of this city by the Bay.
Most of the Construction has already begone of the US largest real estate downtown re-development and will shortly be starting to take form.
Tampa Water Street a project developed by Strategic Property Partners, a company launched by Tampa Bay Lightning Owner, Jeff Vinik & Cascade Investment, which is a capital fund owned by Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates.
Water Street is a 50 acre district that will feature retail, offices, homes, hotels, culture, and education with the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine and Heart Institute.
Water Street, encompasses an area from Tampa Convention Center to the Florida Aquarium with Sparkman Warf & Amalie Arena in the middle. Water Street promotes a healthy modern living culture for people to walk, meet, and enjoy year round activities. It will have 13 acres of new and enhance parks and public gathering spaces. The plan is for 23,000 people to live in, work in, as well as appealing to tourists from the Cruise Port and the many events at Tampa Convention Center.
Water Street Re-Developoment has a vision that “buildings are only as good as the places in between them”. Creating Water Street Tampa from the ground up will produce dynamic experiences and thoughtfully design “in-between”, the places where city life happens. The line between city & hotel will be invisible. A Self-contained resort in a thriving gateway city.
Water Street Tampa will feature 3 major hotel resorts by Marriott. The first is the new 4 star convention oriented hotel, the JW Marriott already coming to form as you can see to the right of the Marriott Water Street (formerly Marriott Waterside) The JW Marriott expected to open in late 2020 with 26 floors 519 rooms. JW Marriott known for their luxury, accessible, yet warm & inviting hotels
The Tampa Edition, designed by New York based architect, Morris Admi, will be the cultural focal point of Water Street. It will have 172 hotel rooms, 26 story tower in the heart of Water Street with 35 condos. Each condo will include a private terrace with views of Tampa Skyline & Hillsborough Bay. It will have a rooftop pool with adjacent bar & restaurant and spa for both guests & residents. The Tampa Edition a vision of innovator Ian Schrader with some of the best designers in the world creating a sophisticated achitectecture on inside and out.
The 3rd hotel, is Marriott Water Street (formerly Marriott Waterside) was built in 2000, but recently renovated for the Water Street Development. Together the 3 hotels will play a key role in the Water Street Tampa Neighborhood.
Tampa is a city on the rise with not only the Water Street development, but also The Tampa Heights re-developoment, occurring on the opposite end of Tampa Downtown, taking a once declining community and turning it into a a beautiful waterfront entertainment area anchored by the Armture Works Building attracting visitors with unique eateries, Public Market, and waterside park.

An aerial look at Downtown Tampa, Florida shot by Tampa Aerial Photographers Celebrations of Tampa Bay We show the Riverfront areas of downtown Tampa from Sunset to 30 minutes after sunset.
We feature the growing Tampa Riverwalk area which is really starting to light up. It extends 2.6 miles from the newly re-developed Tampa Heights area just north of I-275 to around the Amalie Arena. In the next 10 years the downtown area will continue to change with the Water Street Re-development that will absolutely mondernize and transform 50 acres of Channelside. The construction begun in 2017 and the first phase will be open in 2020.
For dinner cruises along this beautiful waterfront area check out Yacht Starship that has a fleet of 3 ships in Tampa, 1 ship in Clearwater Beach The new Pirate Water Taxi, is a great way to move around the Riverfront Area

Tampa was originally founded at Fot Brook in 1824, 3 years after the United States purchased Florida from Spain. It was incorporated in 1855 as Tampa. It was the construction of the Railroad that developing Cigar & Phosphate industries and its location of sitting on the Bay that allowed the Tampa Bay Area to grow and is now the 2nd largest metro area in Florida.
All the footage in this video was shot from sunset to within 30 minites after sunset. We shot mostly over water and parking areas and took pre-cautions not to fly over people. We also used anti-colision lights of 1500 lumens on the drone.

South Tampa ???? One of Tampa's Most Popular Areas | MELANIE ❤️ TAMPA BAY
One of the most popular Tampa Bay areas is definitely South Tampa, so let's take a closer look to see if it's for you!
Generally when people are talking about South Tampa, they're referring to the peninsula that juts down into Tampa Bay with the northern boundary of South Tampa being State Road 60 (Kennedy Boulevard) and the southern boundary being MacDill Air Force Base.
So why do so many want to live in South Tampa?
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
South Tampa is close to two large commercial areas - the Westshore District near Tampa International Airport, and Downtown Tampa. That makes for a convenient commute. However, you would have pretty quick access to highways bringing you to other Tampa Bay areas including I-275 and the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway, originally known as the Southern Crosstown Expressway.
It's also close to fun places around Downtown Tampa like Amalie Arena, Curtis Hixon Park, The Florida Aquarium, Glazer Children's Museum, Straz Center for the Performing Arts, and Sparkman Wharf.
EATING, DRINKING & SHOPPING
Because South Tampa has been a popular areas for a long time, many local and chain businesses and restaurants have set up shop here. You don't have to go far to find an amazing restaurant, fun boutique, or grocery store.
Great spots for shopping include WestShore Plaza, International Plaza, and Hyde Park Village.
Howard Avenue is known for the famous Bern's Steak House and quite a few bars appealing to the younger crowd.
SCHOOL DISTRICT
If you've been looking online at listings, you probably see the phrase in the Plant High School District. Plant High School is consistently one of the highest rated in the area. Make sure you check the actual school zone for the house you're interested in purchasing.
The other high school in South Tampa is in the southern portion of the peninsula - Robinson High School.

Because the area has been built over the last century, every house looks different and there are plenty of examples where century-old bungalows sit next to brand new contemporary construction.
If you value privacy, South Tampa can be a hard place to find it with many smaller lot sizes. Unless you are backing up to the water, golf course, or a street changes are good that you'll have a neighbor backing up to your property.
NEIGHBORHOODS & HOUSING OPTIONS
Neighborhood boundaries in South Tampa can be hard to figure out, as many aren't labeled well other than a small sign.
You can see beautiful, historic bungalows in Hyde Park Village, lots of new construction in Swann Estates from builders developing existing lots where older homes used to stand. There are townhouses close to Howard Avenue, and you'll find some walkable neighborhoods in South Tampa.
If you want your kids to be able to walk to Plant High School, look at Palma Ceia, West Palma Ceia, or Virginia Park.
Like Downtown St. Pete, South Tampa has some of the highest price real estate in the area since demand is so high. If you want a waterfront property in South Tampa, be prepared to spend well over $1 million.
Other popular neighborhoods include Beach Park, Bayshore Beautiful, Ballast Point, Interbay, Westshore Yacht Club, Culbreath Isles, Sunset Park, Golfview, nearby Davis Islands and Harbour Island.

Tampa Bay Lightning on the beach in Clearwater Beach. The Tampa Bay Lightning are a professional ice hockey team based in Tampa, Florida. Established in 1992, they are members of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). Tampa Bay has one Stanley Cup championship in their history, in 2003–04.[3] They are often referred to as the Bolts, and the nickname is used on their current third jersey. They play their home games in the Amalie Arena in Tampa.
Ybor City, Tampa Nightlife | Best Night Ever
This video takes you into the streets of Ybor City and Tampa at night.
