Anne Frank Show at Amsterdam Theater
ANNE, is a new show / play at the Theater Amsterdam, based on the diary of Anne Frank, Amsterdam's most famous daughter. It shows Anne with her family before she goes into hiding, the years in the Secret Annex and the horror that followed her betrayal. The show takes you on an exciting, beautiful, yet tragic, frightening journey through Anne Frank’s life. After going into hiding with her family in Amsterdam, Anne Frank wrote her diary from 12 June 1942 until 1 August 1944 - from late September 1942 onwards in the form of letters to her imaginary friend Kitty.
Theater Amsterdam, situated on the waterfront just outside central Amsterdam in the Westelijke Houthavens district, opened with the premiere of ANNE on 8th May 2014. The Theater Amsterdam was purpose built for the Anne show. The staging is incredible and features a 180 degree screen which is used to display visuals to enhance the visual appeal of the show.

The Anne Frank Story on Stage: New play about life of Holocaust victim opens in Amsterdam
A new play about the life of Anne Frank based on her best-selling diaries has opened in Amsterdam with Dutch King Willem-Alexander attending the opening of the production. The 'Theatre Amsterdam', where the play will be performed, has been especially built to accommodate the show. The stage includes a moving replica of the secret apartment and famous attic where the Jewish teenager had to hide for a year and a half, before Nazis finally found her and her family and sent them to concentration camps. This is the first time that a play on Anne Frank's life is based on the complete original texts of her diaries.
Lone Peak High School - The Diary of Anne Frank (2016)
The play takes place in the top floors of the annex to an office building in Amsterdam, Holland during the years of World War II. Chronicled in the diary kept by Anne Frank, the play brings to life the joys, tensions, yearnings, and passion for life expressed by Anne in her own words.

STORYLINE
Anne Frank's cousin gave up custody on Monday of thousands of letters, photographs and documents he had stored in his Swiss attic for decades, material which archivists said crystallise the background of the Jewish teenage diarist who became a worldwide symbol of the Nazi Holocaust.
Bernhard 'Buddy' Elias, aged 82, marked the 60th anniversary of the first publication of the 'Diary of Anne Frank' by offering his collection of memorabilia on permanent loan to the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
It brings together for the first time nearly all the known historical material about the Frank family.
The 25-thousand documents include material which Anne's father Otto, the only family survivor of the concentration camps, gave to the Anne Frank Foundation in Basle, Switzerland, and from Elias' home in Basle.
The collection included material ranging from 19th century photographs to post-War letters, written after Otto Frank compiled and published the diary.
Annelies Marie Anne Frank was born in Frankfurt, Germany, on June 12,1929 and died at Bergen Belsen in early March 1945.
She had moved to Holland with her family in 1933, after the Nazis took power in Germany. When the Germans invaded the Low Countries and fearing persecution as Jews, the family went into hiding in secret rooms in Otto Frank's offices.
After two years in hiding the group was betrayed and transported to concentration camps. Seven months after her arrest, Anne Frank died of typhus.
Otto Frank returned to Amsterdam after the war, to find the diary. He had it published in Dutch and it has since sold millions of copies worldwide.
The diary was given to Anne Frank on her thirteenth birthday and chronicles her life from 12 June, 1942 until August,1944. Critics have described it as the work of a mature and insightful mind, providing an intimate examination of daily life under Nazi occupation.
It has been made into several films, television and stage dramas, and even an opera.
