Arabian Wildlife Center - Sharjah
The Arabian Wildlife Center is the only ‘zoo’ in Arabia which exhibits all the animals naturally occurring in the Arabian Peninsula, both current and extinct. Opened in September 1999, this excellent facility houses over 100 species displayed in safe, spacious and natural surroundings. The center demonstrates the diversity of the fauna found in the peninsula and creates awareness of the species, which have, and are, becoming extinct.
The ticket price for adults is AED 15. For children over 12 years, it’s AED 5. Entry is free for kids under 12 years of age. This Sharjah wildlife centre ticket price is also included in the same.

Thursdays: 11:00 – 17:30
Fridays: 14:00 – 17:30

Sharjah Wildlife Centre is one of the best place in the world to see the Arabian leopard.
It showcases the diversity of fauna found in Sharjah, with reptiles, insect house, indoor Birds and flamingos. Opened in September 1999.

It is part of the Sharjah Desert Park, it's also have botanical gardens, a natural history museum and a children’s farm.
You can see the free-flying Birds.

There is also a café and picnic facilities in the grounds.
Take time to view the video just inside the main entrance before entering the display areas.
The tour takes you through the reptile, fish and insect house, where many of the Arabian snakes including the venomous vipers, monitor lizards and chameleons.
The bird set in a wadi and desert environment contains several species of songbirds, Indian Roller birds and flamingos.

are housed the smaller cats of the desert;
the Caracal,
recognized by the tufts, on the end of its ears.

The Arabia’s Wildlife Center is the only zoo in Arabia which exhibits all the animals naturally occurring in the Arabian Peninsula. This wildlife center has been open to the public since September 1999. It is home to over 100 species in a safe, big and spacious environment.
Please note that this is a self help tour and nobody will explain to you about the animals inside the center. It is centralized indoor zoo and there is also a restaurant inside the center.

A day with kids in indoor arabian wildlife Center - Desert Park Sharjah
A wonderful place to visit in sharjah. Desert park packs of four venues into a 1-sq-km package, including a natural-history museum, a botanical museum and a Children's Farm where kids get to meet, pet and feed goats, camels and ducks, and ride ponies and camels.
The main attraction, though, is the Arabia's Wildlife Centre, a zoo showcasing the diversity of local critters. Vipers, flamingos, wildcats, mongooses, hyenas, wolves and the splendid Arabian leopard all make appearances. Visitors get to observe the animals in air-conditioned comfort through glass panels, making the centre a year-round destination.
