The AZDFI is charged with enforcing the statutes and regulations which govern the Responsible Individual function. If these laws and rules are not followed, the AZDFI can issue civil money penalties and/or a cease and desist order. Therefore, the person the mortgage company retains as its Responsible Individual is very important.
Keep in mind, the Responsible Individual must be knowledgeable not just about the applicable Arizona laws and rules but also the federal Truth in Lending statutes and Regulation Z, and the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) and Regulation X which of course includes the TRID/Know Before You Owe Rule. The Responsible Individual must also be privy to the company's sensitive financial data such as payroll records, bank account records, financial statements, tax returns, the general ledger, personnel files and loan files. Therefore, the person selected must be knowledgeable, competent and trustworthy regarding these matters.

Phoenix Celebrates the Opening of the Largest Wastewater Treatment Biogas-to-Renewable Natural Gas Facility in the U.S.
Celebration event for the commercial operations of the multi-million-dollar wastewater treatment plant biogas-to-renewable natural gas (RNG)project at the 91st Ave Wastewater Treatment Plant. The raw biogas is a result of the natural breakdown of organic matter in the wastewater treatment process. Prior to this operation, the majority of this gas was burned off using flares. Through this new effort, 600,000 MMBtu of gas will be treated annually and transferred to a nearby natural gas pipeline, where it will be sold on the open market as green energy. This amount of MMBtu is equivalent to removing more than 70,000 vehicles off our roads annually. This facility is the largest wastewater treatment plant biogas-to-renewable natural gas facility of its kind in the United States.
The project is expected to produce annual revenue via royalty payments, to be shared among the cities that jointly own the 91st Avenue Wastewater Treatment Plant. The 91st Avenue Wastewater Treatment Plant is the largest wastewater treatment plant in Arizona and the Southwest. It is jointly owned by the cities of Glendale, Mesa, Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Tempe.
