DETAILED TRAVEL GUIDE FROM VIENNA (Wien Rennwegg/Wien Meidling) TO HALLSTATT VIA OBB TRAIN and FERRY:
Total Roundtrip ticket cost: 112 Euro/pax
Total travel time: 3hrs 30min
1. WIEN RENNWEGG - WIEN MEIDLING
The nearest station in our hotel is Wien Rennwegg Station so we still need to go to Wien Meidling which is one of Vienna's main railway station - buy ticket going to WIEN MEIDLING before entering and going down the station. You don't need to validate the ticket anymore (2.40EURO/person). Only ride the S1/S2/S3 trains. Never ride the S7 train because it will go to the airport.
2. WIEN MEIDLING - ATTNANG PUCCHEIM
Go to OBB office, tell them that you want to go to Hallstatt. Ask for the timings of each stop so you will still have a guide, they will give you an itinerary for your whole travel duration until you get to Hallstatt.
Go down at Attnang Puchheim. Travel time from Meidling to Attnang Puccheim is 1hour and 56 minutes.
3. Attnang Puccheim to Hallstatt
When you get off at Attnang Puchcheim, go to the designated platform assigned (check the itinerary that OBB office gave you).
When we get there, the train is already waiting for us. Be mindful of the time since the transit time is very less. In our case we only have 10 mins of transit time in Attnang Puccheim. The train from Wien Meidling was also delayed for few minutes so walk as fast as you can LOL.
Also, Hallstatt Station is not the last station for this line so make sure to check the monitors inside the train and set an alarm if you must.
4. Hallstatt Station to Hallstatt town via Ferry
Once you get off at Hallstatt Station, you just need to walk a little bit to the ferry port (no worries there are signages in Deutsch and in English). You will pay 2.50euro/one way/person. Travel time is only 5mins. You need to pay while embarking inside the ferry.
*Going back to Vienna, just follow the same steps. You can buy the ticket from Hallstatt Station via ticketing machine. From Hallstatt Station to Wien Meidling.
THE LETTER/NOTE THAT WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU IN HALLSTATT CHARNEL HAUS (click link below - don't worry its just m IG account LOL):
That's it guys!

Christmas in Austria Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Christmas in Austria.
Austria is located in the heart of Europe and throughout the country the run-up to Christmas is celebrated by visiting its extremely popular Christmas markets. We begin in Austria’s capital city, Vienna, on the city’s main boulevard, the Ringstraße opposite the world famous, Burgtheater. At the beginning of November, the festively-lit façade of the Town Hall attracts many shoppers to a fabulous array of Christmas stalls packed with seasonal decorations and all of the sparkle and glitter of this special time of year. Close by, in the Old Town, the Old Viennese Christkindlmark has traditionally been held on the Freyung. This small but exquisite Christmas market opens only in the second half of November, and offers Christmas arts and crafts and special organic delicacies produced on Austria’s farms. North of the Danube and the Old Town, the flower gardens of Hirschstetten were created by the city of Vienna with a Christmas exhibition in Advent. Here, Vienna’s gardeners have created a Christmas-themed landscape both inside and out. Located in Lower Austria east of Vienna, close to the Slovakian border, Castle Hof is a Baroque work of art built at the command of Prince Eugen Of Savoy. The castle and its courtyards provide the perfect backdrop to its popular Christmas market. Traditional Austrian arts and crafts, as well as those of neighboring countries, are available and soon tempt those looking for a quality bargain. In the small cathedral square in front of Salzburg Cathedral where in summer the Jedermann is performed, huts also appear at Christmas time and fiaker horse-drawn carriages take passengers from place to place through the narrow streets of the seasonally-decorated Old Town. In Innsbruck, Christmas huts abound as do Tyrolean handicrafts and tasty specialties, including hearty food and drink! This is Yuletide in Austria, with Christmas markets galore!

AUSTRIA: EXPLORING the WW2 Concentration Camp of MAUTHAUSEN, FULL TOUR
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's go visit the Mauthausen–Gusen concentration camp which was the hub of a large group of German concentration camps that was built around the villages of Mauthausen and Sankt Georgen an der Gusen (Gusen) in Upper Austria, roughly 20 kilometres east of the city of Linz. The camp operated from the time when Austria was annexed into the German Third Reich in 8 August 1938, to 5 May 1945, at the end of the Second World War. Starting with a single camp at Mauthausen, the complex expanded over time and by the summer of 1940 Mauthausen had become one of the largest labour camp complexes in the German-controlled part of Europe, with four main subcamps at Mauthausen and nearby Gusen, and nearly 100 other subcamps located throughout Austria and southern Germany, directed from a central office at Mauthausen.
Austria is a German-speaking country in Central Europe, characterized by mountain villages, baroque architecture, Imperial history and rugged Alpine terrain. Vienna, its Danube River capital, is home to the Schönbrunn and Hofburg palaces. It has counted Mozart, Strauss and Freud among its residents. The country’s other notable regions include the northern Bohemian Forest, Traunsee Lake and eastern hillside vineyards.

Visiting Bratislava, Slovakia when you are already in Vienna, Austria is very easy, considering it is a quick and cheap one hour train ride between the two cities. It was a perfect day trip for me when I was in Vienna and husbandless for a morning!
Join Marti from Down the Wrabbit Hole Travel as she and her friend Jody slip away from Vienna for a morning to take the train to Bratislava. Explore Bratislava Castle, see amazing views of the Danube River, say hello to Cumil the Sewer Worker, and stroll the beautiful streets of Bratislava's Old Town in DTWH's newest travel video!
