Ugandan Tourism 2019: Visit Uganda!
Uganda is one of the most beautiful countries in Africa. With its dense misty forests, snow-peaked mountains, glassy lakes and sprawling savannas, it’s no wonder Winston Churchill dubbed this wonderful country the ‘pearl of Africa’. While mountain gorillas are the allure for many visitors, there’s an astounding variety of attractions for tourists.

We walked about 10 minutes into the wildlife reserve to meet Bella and her baby. She stood very still and watched us until she deemed us as safe. Then she plopped back down for her nap.
In late June / early July 2010, Cindy, Sara, Kim, and I embarked on a volunteering trip to an area west of Kampala, Uganda. Cindy, being the veteran, had traveled there twice before. We visited and worked at an orphanage / primary school and its secondary school.
Inspired by Cindy's work, several organizations came together to donate money to help build the secondary school. The official grand opening was held in early July. They were kind enough to wait until Cindy's return to have the ceremony.
