Come with me as I take you on a scenic drive through 2 beautiful towns on the Gulf Coast of Florida near Tampa. We begin our exploration in Dunedin at the Dunedin Pier situated near Bon Appetit Restaurant & Bar and overlooking Dunedin Channel. We pass the Olde Bay Cafe & Dunedin Fish Market near Edgewater Park. Heading down Edgewater Drive (Alt 19), we pass beautiful waterfront homes and come to the historic Fenway Hotel. A drive down Main Street takes us past restaurants, shops, and clubs. We drive down Broadway and stop at the Stirling Commons to take a look around the art gallery which is also home to the Penny Lane Beatles Museum. Heading north on Broadway takes us past several microbreweries and over to Honeymoon Beach on the Gulf of Mexico. As night falls, we find ourselves in Safety Harbor which is on Tampa Bay. Holiday decorations adorn John Wilson Park. Driving down lively Main Street we come to the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa.

DUNEDIN
Dunedin /dəˈniːdɪn/ is a city in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. The name comes from Dùn Èideann, the Scottish Gaelic name for Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. Dunedin is the 5th largest city in Pinellas County.
Dunedin is home to several beaches, including Dunedin Causeway, Honeymoon Island, and Caladesi Island State Park, which is consistently rated among the best beaches in the world. Dunedin is one of the few open waterfront communities from Sarasota to Cedar Key where buildings do not completely obscure the view of the Intracoastal Waterway and the Gulf of Mexico beyond; a 1-mile (1.6 km) stretch of Edgewater Drive (also known as Alternate US 19) south of downtown offers views of St. Joseph Sound, Clearwater Beach, and Caladesi Island. Downtown Clearwater and Clearwater Beach are a 6-mile (10 km) drive south on Edgewater.
The downtown business district is notable for its absence of large commercial signage, corporate franchise restaurants or chain retail stores. The Pinellas Trail, a 39-mile-long (63 km) bicycle and pedestrian trail that traverses all of Pinellas County, bisects downtown Dunedin. A large portion of the trail lies on the former roadbed of the Orange Belt Railway, the first railroad in Pinellas County, which arrived in 1888.
Since 1977, Dunedin is the spring training home of the Toronto Blue Jays, as well as the class-A Dunedin Blue Jays of the Florida State League. Dunedin is one of the smallest communities used by Major League spring training teams, although surrounded by a large metropolitan area. Dunedin Stadium is situated next to the Dunedin Public Library a few blocks south of downtown on Douglas Avenue, and is just two blocks east of Edgewater Drive. The stadium was built as a replacement to Grant Field, the Blue Jays' first spring training ball park. The library was founded in 1895 and is the oldest public library in Pinellas County.
Until early 2005, Dunedin was the home of Nielsen Media Research's production operations. The city is home to multiple breweries including Dunedin Brewery, Florida's oldest microbrewery.
SAFETY HARBOR
Safety Harbor is a city on the west shore of Tampa Bay in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. It was incorporated in 1917. Safety Harbor's tree-lined streets and quaint, small-town appearance are unusual in heavily urbanized Pinellas County.
The area has been inhabited since the Stone Age. In June 2008, a 6,000-year-old spearhead was found at Marshall Street Park. The inhabitants of the area at the time of Spanish exploration were the Tocobaga people, who lived in villages around Tampa Bay. The adaptation of this culture relied on wild resources. Safety Harbor sites have yielded pottery, and artifacts of copper, shell, and stone. The Tocobaga were known for constructing various ceremonial and communal mounds to bury the dead. Most of these mounds were destroyed in the early 1900s due to development. However, one of these ceremonial mounds is still visible in Safety Harbor's Phillippe Park. Shells found in these mounds were used to pave city streets.
In 1528 Spanish explorer Pánfilo de Narváez landed in the area, followed by Hernando de Soto in 1539. Safety Harbor (formerly known as Worth's Harbor) was first homesteaded by Count Odet Philippe, a French nobleman who is credited with introducing the grapefruit to Florida in 1823. The name Safety Harbor originated from the early 18th century, when pirates were a substantial influence in the area. Once ships reached this area of the bay, all threats from pirates were gone, and it was commonly referred to as a Safe Harbor.

The Cafe: Where to eat Vegan in Key West! A Pescetarian Restaurant with Vegan Key Lime Cheesecake!
The Cafe: Where to eat Vegan in Key West! A Pescetarian Restaurant with Vegan Key Lime Cheesecake! (Written review below!)
While we did find a few vegan offerings elsewhere, The Cafe continues to be our go-to spot for vegan food when we're in Key West. So much so that we actually picked our hotel for this visit based on its very central location!
It can admittedly be a bit of a mixed bag food wise. We definitely enjoyed our dinner the 1st night more than the 2nd. However, it is nice to have lots of options, & it's the only vegan Key Lime Pie that we know of on the island!
If you know of somewhere else that does, or another restaurant that you recommend for good vegan Key West eats, please let us know in the comments!

Housing Recovery Continues in 2015, Texas Remains Strong, Florida & the Carolinas Showing Growth
The recovery in the housing market has been a catalyst to strength in the market and economic growth. Hollis Greenlaw, CEO of United Development Funding tells TheStreet’s Jill Malandrino this gradual recovery will continue in 2015. On a month-to-month basis, there will be some volatility, but Greenlaw expects housing starts to increase 15-20%. The three variables that can drive this are household formation, wage growth and credit. What has been missing in the recovery thus far is household formation due to unemployment, the U6 number, not the headline number. Strength continues in Texas, particularly Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston and Austin, due to the strong local economy and wage growth. Areas showing improvement are Florida, Charleston, South Carolina and Raleigh and Charlotte, North Carolina. Greenlaw expects that theme to continue in the months ahead.
What It's Like To Be An Amazon Flex Delivery Driver
Amazon has offered free two-day shipping for Prime members since 2005. As Amazon rolls out a one-day shipping guarantee for its 100 million Prime members, Amazon Flex drivers help solve the company's last mile problem. CNBC spoke to these on-demand contract workers all over the country to find out what it's really like to deliver for Amazon. Watch the video to hear about the pay, pace of work, and how Amazon Flex works.
Is Amazon Prime worth it? For many members, free shipping is a key Amazon Prime benefit that factors into their decision to pay $119 per year for the service. As Amazon starts offering Prime members the added benefit of one-day shipping they're working with on-demand contract drivers to help with this especially labor-intensive and expensive hand-delivery.
We spent a day with Omar Montes, a Flex driver in the San Francisco Bay Area. Omar helped a friend deliver around 46 packages in 3½ hours, for $105. “These are like the good days that make you want to continue doing Amazon. But, you know, there’s obviously bad days too,” Montes said.

Using a Glacier Water Vending Machine
Located in Vista, California, Glacier Water Services, Inc. is the largest operator of self-service water vending machines in the United States, with more than 15,000 units located in 35 states. Most of the company's business is tied to supermarkets, especially in Sunbelt states, where its vending machines are located outdoors, but the development of an indoor unit has allowed Glacier Water to make inroads in northern states. The coin-operated machines rely on a combination of techniques, including micron filtration, reverse osmosis, carbon absorption, and ultraviolet sterilization, in order to remove impurities and polish the taste of water drawn directly from local municipal sources. Once a week each unit is tested and serviced, but aside from this maintenance, the system is self-sufficient. Customers provide their own containers, although in many cases the retail outlets where the units are located also sell plastic jugs. The price per gallon ranges from 15 cents to 50 cents, depending on local competition, making the company's water an inexpensive alternative to bottled water sold in stores or delivered to homes.
