Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” and taking more trips together and finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and travel hacking over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling. So we extended our 1 year trip to THREE years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before Nate turns 30 (which is March 20, 2019)! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

4 DAYS IN TUSCANY: Florence, Siena, Chianti Wine Tasting, and more!
Tuscany was our second stop in our 20-day babymoon in Italy! We used Siena and Florence as our base for travel to the surrounding countryside. From Siena, we joined a small group tour and visited Monterrigioni, San Gimignano, and Volterra. From Florence, we joined a wine tasting tour that took us to wineries of both Florentine and Sienese Chianti Classico wines and to the small towns of Greve and Castellina. Tuscany was gorgeous!

Blue Cars holiday coach travels along the motorways to Florence. View over Florence, zooming in on the Duomo. Passengers disembark from the coach, assisted by a cheerful tour escort. One of the male tourists climbs a lamp post for a better view to film. A narrow street in Florence, close up of Hotel S.Giorgio sign. Our tourists walk along the street while a tiny Fiat squeezes past. The Cathedral, statues and art work. Souvenir shop, where two ladies in the tour group bid farewell to their male companion. The two women visit a market stall and ask the trader to show them a glittery silver handbag, which one of them buys. A Florence street with pigeons eating breads crumbs in the road. The male tourist from earlier, now dressed in a white suit, descends some steps to greet the women outside a flower stall. They walk off together. The three are seated outside enjoying an alfresco meal from a restaurant overlooking the Ponte Vecchio. The man drinks from a wine glass. The waiter serves coffees. Zoomed in view of the Ponte Vecchio. Back to London, where a policeman leans into a cab and tells the driver he can’t park there any longer. The taxi driver has been reading the Blue Cars holiday brochure and dreaming of Italy. He says he’s ‘off to Rome’ and drives away. The Bobbie watches him drive away with his hands on his hips.
Hiking All of Cinque Terre, Italy IN ONE DAY
If you've ever wondered what it's like to hike Cinque Terre, this is it. Come along as we hike from Monterosso to Riomaggiore and explore Vernazza, Corniglia, and Manarola along the way.
I also wanted to give you an overall travel guide to hiking Cinque Terre, so here are all the distances and details (with timestamps from the video):
Start: 9.21am get off train in Monterosso (0:01)
30 minutes - explore Monterosso, walk over to trail head (0:13)
9.57am - Buy tickets on the trail, 7.50 euro each. (0:41) Medium-ly difficult hike to Vernazza on main Coastal Trail #2 (0:48) (3.3km, 2.1mi)
11.20am - Arrive in Vernazza (1:32), explore for 40 minutes, or an hour if you want to go up to the castle
12.00 noon - difficult hike to Corniglia on main Coastal Trail #2 (2:02). Up from Vernazza is hard, but going down to Corniglia is easy. (3.2km, 2mi)
1.25pm - Arrive in Corniglia (2:26), Explore for 35 minutes
2.00pm - Very difficult hike to Manarola via Volastra. (3:01) Trail #2 was still closed due to landslides. We took Trail 587 (also known as 7a depending on which sign you're looking at) - very difficult climb, but pretty. Hike up 30 minutes until it connects with Trail 586 (still called trail 7a on some maps, also 6d) at 3:23. Take a right and climb a little higher until it levels out. Follow this for 50 minutes through vineyards straight into Volastra (4:25) and you'll see signs for Manarola. This is Trail 506 (or 6).
Down the 1100+ steps for 10 minutes (4:39). (total 5.5km, 3.4mi)
3.52pm - Arrive in Manarola (4:45), explore for 1 hour (includes eating too)
4.50pm - Via dell'Amore is still closed, so we took Trail 531 up and over (5:37). Very steep up (600+ stairs), slippery steep rock/sandy trail down. Difficult, but short. (1km, 0.62mi)
5.38pm - Arrive in Riomaggiore (6:35)
5.45pm - Take the train back to La Spezia (6:45)

External Hard Drive: (the videos are a little too big for the macbook air to handle, so I edit everything off an external hard drive)

This was one of our favorite days in Italy! Nate fell in love with driving the Vespa around the Italian countryside. We started by driving to the beach for some local sea food with Bob and Gina, then we got caught in the rain, warmed up in the hot tub, took a nap, took the Vespa to another hill town, ate gelato, and flew the drone a lot!

In this vlog, we visited our 51st country buy going to the Vatican in the middle of Italy! We used our Italia Pass to skip the line and take a really good tour. We walked through the beautiful buildings and soaked up the history and scenery, went in the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica. We tried Rome's cheaper food scene for lunch and dinner, and were a bit disappointed after all the delicious meals we've been having around the city ;)

Blue Grotto | Most Beautiful Capri Island Tour | ITALY
The Blue Grotto is a sea cave on the coast of the island of Capri, southern Italy. Sunlight, passing through an underwater cavity and shining through the seawater, creates a blue reflection that illuminates the cavern.
Accessible by boat, this sea cave is known for its bright blue water, due to reflected sunlight.

As beautiful as Rome is, there will always be people who try to take advantage of us unsuspecting tourists.
1) Unauthentic Italian restaurants
They have the red and white Italian table covers, friendly ushers and a wine selection, but they're only targeting tourists. Why do you think?
2) Food karts
They also ONLY target tourists. 5 euro water when water is free around rome, 3 euro gum and 7-8 euro tiny gelato that tastes like it was made with sewage water. Not even airports charge this much.
