Burleigh House, Stamford, UK
Burghley House is a grand sixteenth-century country house in the civil parishes of St Martin's Without and Barnack in the Peterborough unitary authority of the English county of Cambridgeshire, but adjoining Stamford in Lincolnshire. It is a leading example of the Elizabethan prodigy house, built by and still lived in by the Cecil family. Its park was laid out by Capability Brown. The exterior very largely retains its Elizabethan appearance, but most of the interiors date from remodellings before 1800. The house is open to the public and displays a circuit of grand and richly furnished state apartments.

The weather in the UK can vary from day to day. Warmer and hotter months are between April to September. Colder months with snow,sleet and rain are between October and March. You can get some humidity and pollen is highest, between June and August for hayfever suffers. You can also get rain in between, April and September.

During the winter months, Britain is on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), which is 5 hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time and 10 hours behind Sydney. Western standard time is five hours behind.

Burghley House is a grand sixteenth-century country house in the civil parishes of St Martin's Without and Barnack in the Peterborough unitary authority of the English county of Cambridgeshire, but adjoining Stamford in Lincolnshire. It is a leading example of the Elizabethan prodigy house, built by and still lived in by the Cecil family. It lies 0.9 miles south of Stamford and 10 miles northwest of Peterborough city centre.The house is now run by the Burghley House Preservation Trust, which is controlled by the Cecil family.

Tombs and memorials of the Cecil family at St. Martin's church in Stamford, England. William Cecil, 1st Lord Burghley, was the chancellor of England under Queen Elizabeth I and was my ancestral uncle as shown in this video. His sister Margaret Cecil Cave was the great grandmother of Diana Skipwith Dale, my mother's immigrant ancestor of Virginia.

Notre Berry (7) At Burghley House, Stamford July 2010
Notre Berry are a dance group from Bourges specializing in the traditional dances (an dcostumes) of the Berry region of central France. Here they are at Burleigh House, Stamford during a weekend visiting Bourge's twin town Peterborough as guests of Pig Dyke Molly. Some members of Pig Dyke (in black and white) appear from time to time in the background.

Stamford is a town on the River Welland in Lincolnshire, England, 92 miles (148 km) north of London on the A1. The population at the 2011 census was 19,701.[ The town has 17th and 18th-century stone buildings, older timber-framed buildings and five medieval parish churches. In 2013, Stamford was rated the best place to live in a survey by The Sunday Times.
Burghley House

Burghley House, a Grade I listed building, is a grand 16th-century country house near Stamford, Lincolnshire, England. Its park was laid out by Capability Brown.
Burghley was built for Sir William Cecil, 1st Baron Burghley, who was Lord High Treasurer to Queen Elizabeth I, between 1558 and 1587.
The house is one of the main examples of Elizabethan architecture. It has a suite of rooms remodelled in the baroque style, with carvings by Grinling Gibbons.
Although the house was built in the floor plan shape of the letter E in honour of Queen Elizabeth, it is now missing its north-west wing, which was demolished under the guidance of Capability Brown to allow better views of the new parkland.
In the Pagoda Room there are portraits of the Cecil family, Queen Elizabeth I, her father Henry VIII and Oliver Cromwell. Many delicately painted walls and ceilings of the house were done by Antonio Verrio.

Sunday 10th August 2014 I will be performing Magic with the Peterborough Society of Magicians at Burghley House. Its a fun filled day with loads of different activities and its all free!
Food, dance workshops, magic workshops, you name it , it will be there.
I will be performing with the Society of Magicians from Peterborough and we will be doing a workshop too.
