From the train station on King Tomislav Square (Trg kralja Tomislava) along the Green Horseshoe (Zelena potkova) to the central square Count Jelačić Square (Trg bana Josipa Jelačića). From the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary across the Central Market Dolac to Tkalčićeva street, through the Oktogon to Flower Square (Cvijetni trg Petra Preradovića). With the funicular up to the Upper Town (Gornij Grad) and a relaxing walk along Strossmayer Promenade (Strossmayerovo šetalište) before the big bang from the canon on Lotrščak Tower (Kula Lotrščak). Further and deeper into the upper town past the political heart of the country with the government and parliament buildings surrounding St. Mark's Church (Crkva sv. Marka) with its much photographed tiled roof. Down through the Stone Gate (Kamenita vrata) before the lamplighter turns on the gas lights in the Old Town.

Zagreb
The oldest settlement in the urban area of Zagreb was a Roman town of Andautonia, which dates back to the 1st century AD. The first recorded appearance of the name Zagreb is dated to 1094, at which time the city existed as two different city centers: the smaller, eastern Kaptol, inhabited mainly by clergy and housing Zagreb Cathedral, and the larger, western Gradec, inhabited mainly by farmers and merchants. Gradec and Zagreb were united in 1851. After Croatia declared independence from Yugoslavia, 19 May 1991, Zagreb was proclaimed its capital.

Croatia is a country passionate about its produce, and nowhere is this more visible than at the farmers' market Dolac. Small producers from surrounding villages gather in this central food mecca to sell their leafy greens and fleshy meats, which are instantly snapped up. Find everything from turnips to bee pollen and unidentified seeds that promise to straighten out your digestive tract. Old cafés and randomly strewn bar stools (appearing deceptively free) surround the shopping chaos on the upper level; while the meat hangs below your feet, in Dolac's underground bunker along with fresh produce, cheese, herbs, nuts, loose grains, olives by the kilo...and much, much more. A separate fish room (amateurs prepare your nose pincers) and cheese room (likewise) will keep you wandering through this ultimate homage to all things edible, Dolac.

Dubrovnik
Dubrovnik, Croácia - Imagens de uma visita em Maio de 2015: as muralhas, as fortalezas, as igrejas (a igreja ortodoxa, a catedral da Assunção de Nossa Senhora e a igreja franciscana vistas do exterior e no interior, e as igrejas do Santo Salvador, de S. Brás, jesuita e dominicana vistas do exterior), os palácios do Reitor e Sponza, o porto antigo, etc.
A cidade foi bombardeada em 1991 e 1992 pelas tropas da Sérvia e do Montenegro, daí resultando danos importantes em edifícios históricos e classificados pela UNESCO. Ainda se vêem algumas marcas desse ataque, mas a cidade está hoje reconstruída, com telhados novos na maioria dos edifícios, bem visíveis do alto das muralhas.

The town was bombed on 1991 and 1992 by the troops of Serbia and Montenegro, historic and UNESCO classified buildings being then severely damaged. We can see yet some marks of that attack, but nowadays the town is reconstructed, with new roofs on most buildings, well visible from the top of the walls.
