???? EMPRESS GARDEN | PUNE
Spread across 39 acres, this historic land in Pune city has it's special cultural and botanical significance. This land was once owned by the Shinde rulers of the Maratha Empire. During the British rule, it was renamed as the Empress Botanical Garden. The Agri-Horticultural Society of Western India has been looking after it since 1880 AD. Today, it stands as a very prime attraction for children, college students, tourists and nature enthusiasts.

Vijay Kumbhar Talks About RTI Katta in Marathi
RTI Katta In an innovative and fun-loving approach, Vijay Kumbhar, launched the `RTI Katta' at Pune's premier public garden, Chittaranjan Vatika, in the upper crust Model Colony neighborhood. Normally more than 30 Puneites attend the meeting every Sunday. Within a week, the 'RTI Katta' fervor spread to three more public gardens, with the respective local residents taking initiative to host them.
The objective of the `RTI Katta' is not to preach about the RTI Act, says Kumbhar, but to empower oneself through discussions amongst each other[43]. It is an umbrella where the attendees get an insight into various issues that crop during the informal chat.
A person's query or problem is answered by several people which results in a healthy and relevant solution than one RTI expert providing the answer. Moreover, it strengthens the belief in RTI movement which is time and again scuttled by the government through various circulars and amendments. Kumbhar has laid down some rules for forming an RTI Katta, one of which will soon be launched in Ahmednagar:
RTI Katta should be formed in such a public place where no official permission is required, a public garden is the best bet; the name of any individual or organization should not be added wherever the RTI Katta is being formed; the meeting should be purely a discussion forum and there should be no one-sided speech; any attendee is welcome to seek advice on his RTI applications; any attendee is welcome to give his opinion, however he or she should ensure that he is not misleading the person; no one should object or scorn if an attendee, new to the RTI Act asks an irrelevant question -- he/she should be enlightened through this forum; there should be no exchange of money for either asking a query or answering it; since this forum is all about individual empowerment, no person should try to solve the problem of the other but encourage the individual to fight his/her own RTI battle. Ghudka - Traditional Kosli Sambalpuri Folk Dance
To know more about Kosli Sambalpuri Folk Dances visit :
Out of the many folk dance that is still in practice from thousand of years in KOSAL region (Western Orissa)..Ghudku is a peculiar string instrument which produces a peculiar sound. This dance is performed mostly by the snake charmers community..The player works out rhythms by playing his fingers in strokes on a string. He dances with his lady partner and also sings. The dance of the lady is fast with swaying movements of legs, hips and the head. There are also exalted action in half-sitting position. Generally it is she who carries the show. The songs are of a special variety and are popularly known as Ghudka naach in which love and humour predominate. This dance is fast dying out. But it is being adopted by professional troupes and other groups of entertainers.
Leaving apart the Koshali Language, the various types of exotic folk songs and dances which exist in the KOSHAL (western orissa) area give ample evidence of its speciality and originality. These songs and dances are not merely outbreak of emotions but finer elements of life and livings, scientifically fused into the rhythm of the percussion instruments of the region which spontaneously touches the heart; irrespective of caste, creed, sect, religion and time. Any human being who sincerely hears the music of the songs and dances, feels the vibration- in its body, heart and mind..

Best of Firoza Begum Nazrul Geeti | Bengali Songs | Feroza Begum Bengali Nazrul Songs
Presenting Best of Firoza Begum Nazrul Geeti is a unique collection to celebrate the birthday of the Nazrul Geeti artiste Feroza Begum. The legendary Firoza Begum and Nazrul Geeti have almost become two synonymous words. She was born in 1930. Feroza Begum was educated in Calcutta in undivided India and was closely linked with rebel poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, who is now Bangladesh’s national poet. Some people called her The Nightingale of Bangladesh. Some of Nazrul's songs related to the Indian independence movement, with which he was closely associated, while others were more spiritual. Yet many credit Begum with saving a canon of music that was going out of fashion. She would later serve as the first chairperson of the Nazrul Institute, a government-funded institution dedicated to publishing the poet's works and recordings. In 1949 she and the established ghazal singer Talat Mahmud were the voices selected for the inauguration of Pakistan Radio's Dhaka studio.
This album “Feroza Begum : Evergreen Nazrul Geeti Hits or Best of Firoza Begum Nazrul Geeti” is a compilation of some very famous Nazrul Geeti rendered by Feroza Begum. Some of very popular nazrul tracks like Ami Jaar Nupurer and Esho Priyo Mor are compiled here.

Lyrics of Poem
I wonder
if my drawing
will be as good as theirs.
I wonder
if they’ll like me
or just be full of stares.
I wonder
if my teacher
will look like Mom or Gran.
I wonder
if my puppy
will wonder where I am.
