Dhaula Kuan over-flight - stunning view of New Delhi - looks super planned from the air
How the Delhi landscape has changed! The simple gol chakkar of Dhaula Kuan has been replaced by this complex clover leaf flyover. Metro trains, buses and cars go off in different directions - straight or curved. The traffic load has increased by many hundred times and the complexity of navigation is mind-boggling. Yet New Delhi city is clearly on the move, with fresh infrastructure and lots of urban planning. One can follow the Ring Road from Dhaula Kuan towards west Delhi, past the Army Golf Course, or then towards South Delhi, past the gurudwara and on to West End and Shanti Niketan.
See the Taj Mahal Hotel on Sardar Patel or S P Marg. Our camera draws back and crosses the DSOI or Defence Services Officers' Institute and focuses on the Metro Station next door. The Army Golf Course stretches away into the monsoon fog. The Delhi Ridge forest, with The Army Public School within it, stretches away in monsoon verdant greenery. One can see the school fields along the Ridge Road heading to Buddha Jayanti Gardens and the Mahavir Vanasthali.
What a stunning contact at 7 minutes into the video, with the green golf course on one side and the heavily crowded and intensely colonised colony on the other!

Indian Railways | Blitzkrieg Night Out on the Delhi-Jhansi route with the Electric Monsters of IR.!
The Delhi-Jhansi route of the Indian Railways is dominated by the Electric Powerhouses which our railways offers...!! From WAP-7 to WAP-5 to WAP-4 to WAM-4 one literally gets a buffet of mps extravaganza from these speed demons...!!
This section always has a it's own charm that compels me to come back for more... One such RF expedition i took last December in the extreme cold.. when i juggled myself between Morena and Dabra in a single night to catch the roaring beasts in full throttle mode..!! The Winter Chills along with MPS thrills surely raised my adrenaline to an all time high... My Trip started at Morena ,where i got down by Shridham Express , with the back to back sizzling 130 km/hr and 120 km/hr action by the Chennai Garib Rath and Secunderabad Duronto followed by a rare overtake of Mahakoshal Express at the hands of 12688 DDN-MDU Express..!! After Deboarding at Dabra... what transpired the entire night can seen in this non-stop 22 minute footage of the high speed slaying displayed by the premier trains of this route ..!! Sit back and enjoy as the iron monsters dominate their territory like a boss :)
Must Visit Places In Delhi | A Day Tour in Hop On Hop Off Bus | DesiGirl Traveller
Sightseeing tour is something we all wish to do when we visit to a new city. I love it too and that’s why I decided to take a sightseeing tour in Delhi – the capital city of India. I feel it is fun to explore your own city like a tourist. So, in this video, I have travelled in HOHO (Hop On/Hop Off) Bus to a few of the must-visit places of Delhi.
HOHO bus is a sightseeing tour (a part of Delhi Tourism) initiative to help the tourists explore the must-visit places of Delhi in the best possible manner. What makes HOHO bus tour different than organized tours by travel agencies is the fact that HOHO bus tour is inexpensive, flexible and doesn’t require a definite planning in advance. The ticket price is Rs 500 for 1 day trip in which you can travel to 20 tourists’ places in Delhi. There is a HOHO bus at every 40-45 mins at the dedicated bus stops in Delhi. The routes of Hop On Hop Off bus cover museums, monuments, gardens, galleries, hotels, bazaars, shopping malls etc. Overall, the service of this tour bus by Delhi Tourism is designed to offer a complete experience of the capital city of India to a tourist.
The ticket price doesn’t include tickets of monuments and other sites. You have to buy separate tickets for every monuments and sites of Delhi which you visit. Timing of the bus is: 7.50 am. 8.30 am, 9.10 am, 9.50 am, 10.30 am and so on. The bus starts from Baba Khadak Singh Marg. The earlier you start the more places you get to visit.
You can book the ticket either from the counter at HOHO Bus office at Baba Khadak Sign Marg, or buy it online from You can even buy entry ticket online for monuments like Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, Red Fort etc and save time.
How to reach HOHO Bus Office:

The Samjhauta Express - Pakistan And India Lahore to Delhi - by roothmens

The Samjhauta Express commonly called the Friendship Express, is a twice-weekly train – Tuesdays and Fridays – that runs between Delhi and Attari in India and Lahore in Pakistan. The word samjhauta means agreement, accord and compromise in both Hindi and Urdu.
Until the reopening of the Thar Express, this was the only rail connection between the two countries. The train was started on 22 July 1976 following the Shimla Agreement and ran between Amritsar and Lahore, a distance of about 42 km. Following disturbances in Punjab in the late eighties, due to security reasons Indian Railways decided to terminate the service at Attari, where customs and immigration clearances take place. On 14 April 2000, in an agreement between Indian Railways and Pakistan Railways (PR), the distance was revised to cover just under three km.
It was a daily train when the service started, and changed to a bi-weekly schedule in 1994. Earlier the rakes were returned to the home country the same day but later in 2000 the rake remained overnight at that location.
Its termini are Lahore in Pakistan and Delhi in India. The border crossing takes place between Wagah in Pakistan and Attari in India. Originally, this was a through service with the same rake going all the way between the termini; later the Pakistani rake stopped at Attari at which point passengers had to change trains.
Now there is a train from Delhi to Attari where all passengers alight for customs and immigration. This train does not have any commercial stops between Delhi and Attari. It is incorrectly referred to as the Samjhauta Express and it is officially known as the Delhi-Attari or Attari-Delhi Express. The actual Samjhauta Express runs from Attari to Lahore, although the passengers are checked at Wagah, the first station on the Pakistani side. The train service was set up with an agreement between Indian Railways (IR) and Pakistan Railways (PR) to alternately use an Indian and a Pakistani rake and locomotive for the train, six months at a time.
The train usually has between four and eight coaches. The rake supplied by Pakistan is usually hauled by an Alco DL-543 class ALU20 diesel loco (Lahore shed), with the entire train in the standard dark green livery of PR.
The train's first break of service was when it was discontinued on 1 January 2002 in the wake of the terrorist attack on the Indian Parliament on 13 December 2001. Service resumed on 15 January 2004. Service was also suspended following the 27 December 2007, assassination of Benazir Bhutto as a preventive measure to deny militants a high-value target that was of great symbolic importance to both India and Pakistan.

Night Railfanning in Indian Railways Semi High Speed Section! New Delhi-Agra Gatimaan Route!
Location: Farah[FAR], Mathura-Agra Section, New Delhi-Agra Semi Highspeed Section~NCR, Uttar Pradesh
Camera: Camera: Canon EOS 70D + EF-S 18-55 Lens
After a long wait, I did my first night railfanning in Mathura-Agra Section of Agra Division, North Central Railways, at Farah Station near Mathura. It is India's only Semi Highspeed Section with 12050/49 Gatimaan Express running at 160kmph. The best night to visit this section are Sunday and Monday night as one gets to capture the weekly Duronto Express from Bangalore along with Rajdhani Express and other Superfast Trains running towards South India.
While the Up line action towards Agra/Jhansi was almost running on time, Down line was running late as there some technical problem before Jhansi in the route leading to delay of all the North bound Southern Trains. The 22691 SBC-NZM Rajdhani Express despite of being delayed by over 2 hours overtook all the trains before Agra which it generally overtakes around Agra and Mathura.
The key catches of the video are:
1. LGD WAP-7 with 12286 Hazrat Nizamuddin-Secunderabad Duronto Express.
2. LGD WAP-7 with 12612 Nizamuddin-Chennai Garib Rath Express.
3. GZB WAP-7 with 11077 Jhelum Express.
4. GZB WAP-7 with 22415/Andhra Pradesh AC SF Express.
5. GZB WAP-5#30086 with 12049 Gatimaan Express.
6. BRC WAP-5 Amul with 16031 Andaman Express.
7. JHS WDM-3A with 12404 Jaipur -Allahabad SF Express and dead CNB WAP-4 in the end.
8. GZB WAP-5 with 12001 Bhopal-New Delhi Shatabdi Express.
9. GZB WAP-7 with 22692 Nizamuddin -Bengaluru Rajdhani Express.
10. LGD WAP-7 with 12214 Sarai Rohilla-Yesvantpur Duronto Express
11. LGD WAP-7 with 2 hours late running 22691 Bengaluru-Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express.
Enjoy and Peace!
