Devkund waterfall is very near to Pali village in maharashtra un middle of western ghats. Its hidden somewhere in Andharvan (Darkest Forest).
It can be reached from Bhira Village and from the base point you can reach to the waterfall roughly in 1 and half hour. Trek is kind of like nature walk through the most humid forest i have ever seen in my life at start but as soon as you cross the Bhira dam and cross 2 river crossings, the real trek starts. last 20 minutes of the trek is the toughest path where no one should quite trekking and keeps on going because once you reach to the destination, you gonna forget the tiredness since its the best among all waterfall i have seen so far in my life.

During the monsoon the water volume increases very quickly due to the design of the hills, so it is unsafe to see the waterfall. In 2017, Devkund Waterfall was closed to tourists for three months from the July monsoon season after a couple of accidents.[7] After the death of two trekkers at the waterfall, the local administration asked the police to impose section 144, which prohibits the assembly of more than four people in the area.In 2018, access to Devkund waterfall is prohibited by district authorities from 12th July 2018 - 12th September 2018.

Devkund Waterfall | How to go to Devkund Waterfall
#Devkund Waterfall is one of the most beautiful destinations for a day trek from Mumbai and Pune. The best time to visit this location is from Sept mid to November. The trek is very simple but at the same time, it's very exhaustive. One has to trek for 8Km (approx) to get to the waterfalls. You will enjoy the spectacular views of Bhira Dam, Kundikika River, and Andharban mountain.
Public Transport from Mumbai to Bhira Village.
Board a Train from Mumbai (CSMT) to Khopoli ( departs from CSMT at 04:24 AM) always prefer the first train. Get down at Khopoli and go to the ST Bus depot. (15-20 Mins walking distance from Khopoli railway station and Shared auto-rickshaws are available) There is an ST Bus available from Khopoli to Pali village at 07:30 Am. (After every 30-45 Mins there is an ST Bus available to Plai village but prefer the ST Bus available at 07:30 Am) ST Bus will drop you at Pali Bus depot at around 9:00 Am. Now from Pali ST depot, the frequency of ST Bus to Bhira village is very low. There is an ST Bus available to Bhira village at 10:15 Am so you have to wait for 1 Hrs. Here you can get fresh and carry all the snacks which you need on the journey. Please carry a minimum of 3L of water. This ST Bus will drop you to Bhira village in around 1:15Mins approx. And there you will find the TATA powerhouse gate from where you have to start the trek.
