Unmanned Aircraft in Alaska - Cathy Cahill - Science For Alaska Lecture
Cathy Cahill presented this lecture on Feb 26, 2019 at Raven Landing in Fairbanks, Alaska. Cathy Cahill is the Director of the Alaska Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems Integration, or ACUASI. – Unmanned aircraft, a.k.a. drones, have the potential to positively impact the everyday lives of Alaskans through delivering life saving medical supplies, carrying cargo to remote communities, conducting search and rescue, assisting first responders, and a wide variety of other missions. This presentation will discuss the recent advances in unmanned aircraft technologies and regulations that are paving the way towards routinely conducting these services. – The 2019 Science for Alaska Lecture Series will happen on Tuesdays, January 29 through March 5, at 7p.m. at Raven Landing Center, located at 1222 Cowles St.
