Our winter beach trip was supposed to be an escape from work, home, dogs and Travel videos, but sometimes its hard to resist making a video when something is staring you in the face.
It also gave us a chance to use some past video and pictures from our last beach trip. Hope you enjoy.

Shooting 311 N Ocean Blvd Myrtle Beach SC 2017-06-18
Occurred in front of the Wayfarer Motel, 311 N Ocean Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC on June 18th, 2017 about 12:30 AM.
A large group of people were working their way down Ocean Blvd as a man standing on his hotel room balcony live streamed on Facebook.
The police were investigating a shooting nearby, when the crowd suddenly broke out into a fight. Someone pulled a gun and began shooting, and several people were hit. A hotel security guard engaged the shooter and was slightly wounded during the exchange of gun fire.
Seven people, including the gunman, were wounded. Not of the injuries are life threatening.
The gunman carjacked a vehicle in an attempt to escape but was caught a short time later. He is being held and charges will be brought against him.
Myrtle Beach mayor expressed dismay that the shooting will damage the reputation of Myrtle Beach as a family-friendly destination.
The original video received more than 1 million views on Facebook.

Myrtle Beach State Park is one of our favorite places to camp in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. We've been to South Carolina twice and will definitely be back to this beach at some point. In this video we also show you Hilton Head Island Beach and give you our thoughts on that area. We visit the Harbour Town Lighthouse and some of the beaches in the area. We also tell you why we really love Myrtle Beach - despite the rain we had while we were there!
