Driving on US 41 from Everglades City to Miami, Florida
Between Miami and Naples, US 41 cuts across the Florida peninsula, running through the vast Everglades wilderness. This section has been designated a National Scenic Byway. The byway runs east–west through the Big Cypress National Preserve, skirting the northern border of the Everglades National Park for about 20 miles (32 km). The part of the highway between Tampa and Miami is known as the Tamiami Trail (derived from the combination of Tampa and Miami, the road's two ends), thus, this section of the road is commonly known as the East Trail, as it runs east-west across the state, in contrast to the road's otherwise distinctively north-south route. Alligators are a common sight along the scenic Tamiami Trail from Miami to Naples. Unlike the parallel road, Alligator Alley, the trail is only one lane in each direction, and it has no fences to keep wildlife from crossing it.

There isn't anything more vital to fishing than using a sharp hook. A good fishing hook makes sure that the fish you catch stay on when you try to reel them in. Test your hooks often for sharpness and replace or maintain them as necessary.
Look for a spot where fish are congregating, and then cast your hook in a place upstream from that area. Your hook will drag past the fish. The natural looking motion of the water going downstream will be more apt to fool the fish into taking a bite. This technique is especially useful if fish are collected under a rock or other obstruction.
In order to minimize the chance of a serious accident, you should check the weather report before you go fishing. Taking a radio can be helpful as well, to make sure you aren't caught off guard by a sudden change in weather.
Understand a fish's migration pattern to fish downhill or uphill depending on the season. To stay ahead of fish, cast uphill during springtime. In the fall season, fish will move in the opposite direction, so fish downhill.
If you are an Everglades Charter Fishing novice, your best bet is to go bass fishing. Bass can be easier to lure than other types of fish. Although they are great for beginners, bass are also fun for the advanced because they like to put up an exciting fight.
If you are planning to follow a catch and release plan, bring a camera along so you can remember your catches before releasing them back to the wild. The fish gets to go on with its life, and you will be able to show your prize catch to everyone.
Find the deepest water possible. When you're riving fishing, look for deep water areas. Usually, fish can be found in these locations, especially when it is warm outside. You can also find them near ledges and around bigger rocks. When you have found a good location, make note of it for future fishing trips.
You should wet your hands prior to handling a fish. The will ensure that the fish does not end up with dried out skin. Wetting your hands is especially important for catch-and-release fishing, when you should take the most care in returning the fish safely to the water.
Be aware of the laws governing the area where you will be fishing. Specific areas may prohibit fishing at certain times of the day or only allow certain types of bait. If you're unaware, talk to a local governmental office.
It is important to understand that you need not keep every single fish that you catch. Smaller fish should generally be released, as should anything you catch that is more than what you will eat! If you do not remove many fish from the lake, it makes sure future seasons will have plenty of fish.
When Everglades Charter fishing for bass, many people prefer to use grubs that have a lighter color. The most popular grubs are white, gray, smokey, or yellow. Translucent grubs often contain iridescent pigments that reflect light and attract bass. If you're having a tough time in catching anything, try using grub that blends in with the water color.
Now you have some tricks and techniques to try on your next fishing trip. Whether it is a means of relaxation or sport, fishing has a lot to offer you. So to increase your fun and chances of success, be sure to remember the information that was just presented to you.

Everglades Flats Fishing 10 2 2017
This video was very special to me and to my close family and friends because this was the first trip out to the Everglades National park flats after hurricane Irma ravaged the place. It was a sort of test. I was feeling pretty scared of taking our Skeeter Bay boat out because of the reports of downed trees submerged in the water and also sunken boats. Regardless, we knew we had to push our selves to foraging into unknown conditions. I did have a couple of Captains help with getting me inside information about the regions current condition before heading out there. We came up with a plan and put it into gear. From my stand point of view after navigating through the area I do believe this place had gotten torn up worse a few years ago when an earlier storm visited the place. As far as Chokoloskee and Everglades City is concerned, they did get hit hard. All businesses were still closed, lots of personal belongings piled up by the road side and all buildings at ground level suffered from flooding related damage. Onto the bright side, the fishing was red hot as far as the Snook catch was concerned. Yes the outside tips of the islands lost plenty of foliage and many areas known by many as hot spots were completely rearranged by nature. All in all, I know that the locals will have the place up and running in a short time. At the end of the trip, I was delighted to have forced myself to get back into the waters we love so much. The South West region of Florida, The Everglades National Park is indeed an incredible place, before and after the storm! Thank you for watching, if you liked the video place give us a like and subscribe!

Beach Camping Escape: Everglades - Ten Thousand Islands Florida
Connecting with the natural world is vital for one's well being.
Three best friends escape work for a short camping trip by boat.
Tranquil surf, white sand, a driftwood campfire, and a sea breeze were part of an ideal setting for enjoying nature. The footage is from two trips to the same area, but it highlights the beauty and tranquility one can experience on such an adventure.
Of course, the video doesn't show the early a.m. rainstorm Bill experienced on one camping trip, where his tent blew down with him in it. Or the furry bandits that tore into the cooler bag and ate half of the food, then pooped all over the boat. Darn beach 'coons, cute but rascally!
