Anchorage, Alaska Trip Part 1
When my friend Amanda said she wanted to go to Alaska, for her birthday this year, and visit her high school friend, I immediately asked If I could tag along, I mean its ALASKA!!! The final frontier and land of the midnight sun, who wouldn't want to experience that. The only thing that I wished was that we would have gone during the northern lights, but that just gives me more of a reason to go back to this beautiful state.
We arrived at Anchorage, and soon after the following day, our host for this trip, Jessy, Justin and their three kids drove down from Fairbanks to meet us. I instantly fell in love with these kids, all different, strong but above all hilarious personalities. I knew Justin from high school, and had met Jessi before, so it wasn't like I was meeting for the first time.
We decided to stay two nights at an airbnb in Anchorage, and I fell in love with this city. It was such a whole different experience that I will never forget.
This episode we enjoy good food, and drive down to Seward Alaska, for a boat tour, and my goodness it was amazing, the Vessel was called Orca Song, here is the link if you want to book
Also thank you Jessi Lopez for that Orca footage, I think that really made the video.
We also checked out the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, in Chugach State Park, here is the link
There is plenty more to come, and the rest is is even more stunning beauty,
Thanks for watching

Seward, Alaska in the Winter | Anchorage Day Trip
ALASKAN WINTER ROAD TRIP / Scenic Drive in Alaska + Visiting Seward, Alaska
SEWARD, ALASKA
Seward is about a two and a half-hour drive from Anchorage along the scenic coastal Seward Highway. It makes for a great day trip from Anchorage. Truly, though, this winter road trip in Alaska was absolutely stunning and one of the most beautiful drives we've ever been on.
Once we got to Seward, we visited a little coffee shop and walked around the town a bit. There are a few hikes you could do to glaciers from there but the roads were closed due to snow and ice.

Alaska Travel Guide: Anchorage

Transcript:
To any big city dweller, anchorage seems like a small town,
yet fully half the population of this immense state
resides here. This gives you some idea how
Sparsely populated the rest of the state is.
despite it's small size by lower 48 standards,
Anchorage has its share of city husle and bustle.
The city of anchorage dates back to the late 19th
Century when it was a tent city for gold miners and fur trappers.
fur trapping is still a major industry in alaska,
And anchorage is the central marketplace for some
Of the most exotic and high quality furs in the world.
The fur rendezvous celebration that takes place
In anchorage each winter , has been called the
mardi gras of the north . It evolved from a gathering
of fur trappers to a rip-roaring celebration which
Features such delightful events as outhouse and canoe races.
In addition to furs, anchorage offers unique opportunities
To buy native art and craft items from throughout the state.
To the alaskan native, art was, and is a way of life.
every object used in the routines of daily life
Was turned into an object of art.
Scrimshaw, ceremonial masks, and ivory carvings
Are but a few of the art forms available in these shops.
There's no shortage of things to do in anchorage.
For the more adventuruos spirit, an evening ballon ride
Provides an unforgetable experience.
(there are several commercial balloon ride concessions
offering these rides to visitors, and the sky above
anchorage is dotted with these colorful forms drifting
Silently across the sky almost every evening during the
Summer months.

In this video, we explore a bit of Kincaid Park. It's a large park in Anchorage and it's located at 9401 W. Raspberry Road, Anchorage, AK 99502, if you're interested to check it out.
3:03 To my surprise, I saw someone in the middle of the frozen lake. A lady had her two dogs, and a man was ice fishing!
It was my first time to see someone ice fish, along with waking across a frozen, wide lake. I'll tell you one thing, it's freezing! Seriously. The ice penetrates through the shoes. I suggest wearing wool socks.
5:05 As if that wasn't enough, a few moments later, more people began to show up. One couple put on their skates and used the lake as their skating rake. A family pitched a tent on the ice and drilled down two holes into the ice so that they can ice fish. And the one that shocked me the most: an old man rode his bike along the river.
The experience was unique and quite enjoyable.
