Top Things to Do in Naples, Italy Vlog
There are a LOT of things to do in Naples, Italy besides eating pizza: castles, cathedrals, cool neighborhoods, a palace, and underground tunnels! This video will show you everything to do in Naples before and after you eat pizza, including all the other food you should eat (yeah, turns out Naples has the best gelato we’ve ever eaten, too).
If you want to see the best pizza in Naples, we made another video specifically about that. We ate at all the top pizzerias, including Sorbillo, L'Antica da Michele, and Starita, and tell you our favorites in this video:
We also went on day trips to Pompeii and Herculaneum. Those vlogs are coming, so be sure to subscribe to see them.
While in Naples, we stayed at an Airbnb in the neighborhood of Vomero. They provided a crib and toys for Kai and they were the nicest family. We really enjoyed staying with them and highly recommend them:
Side note: We almost always stay in Airbnb's and we highly recommend it! (We were also hosts for a long time and loved that, too.) If you haven't used it, you totally should. Sign up with this link to get $40 off your first stay:

Shopping in Naples, Italy & the Amalfi Coast
Art historian Laura Morelli talks with Pauline & Arthur Frommer about the perks and pitfalls of shopping in one of Italy's most interesting cities, Napoli. Famous for its cameos, coral jewelry, limoncello, nativity scenes, pizza, and pastries, visitors can enrich their trip by coming face to face with traditional makers.
Listen to this excerpt from the Frommers Travel Show....
The Best Pizza in Naples, Italy | The BEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD
We stayed in Naples, Italy for six days and ate pizza every day so we could determine who makes the best pizza in Napoli. Is it Sorbillo? L'Antica da Michele? Starita? Who do you think makes the best pizza in the world? They were all good, but some were definitely better than others.
In addition to eating all the pizza, we went on lots of adventures. Check out the top things to do in Naples in our other video here:
We also went on day trips to Pompeii and Herculaneum. Those vlogs are coming, so be sure to subscribe to see them.
So what qualifies us to decide who makes the best pizza in Naples? Well, nothing, probably. Except that we love pizza and we live in New York, where we eat it all the time. A couple key notes: we love thin crust and we traditionally go light on the sauce and cheese. If you love a ton of cheese, go eat at Little Caesar's. If you want exceptional flavor, go to Italy, specifically Napoli, and eat at these pizzerias:
Pizza Shops and Timestamps:
0:22 - L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele
1:13 - Pizz a' Street Luciano Sorbillo
2:22 - Gine e Toto Sorbillo
4:12 - (Fried PIzza) Antica Pizza Fritta da Zia Esterina Sorbillo
5:21 - Starita (Pizzeria Starita a Materdei)
6:22 - Pizz a Street again
This video was not sponsored by any pizza shops (although how amazing would that be to be sponsored by pizza?!). We paid for everything we ate in the video and our reactions are honest reflections of our taste buds.
Have you been to Naples? What was your favorite pizza? Let us know in the comments. We really want to know your favorites.
Thanks for watching!

Our visit Naples travel guide documentary covers some of the top attractions including a food guide to Neapolitan cuisine, top sightseeing tourist attractions and the city by day including visiting cathedrals, pizzerias, the old town, quirky neighborhoods and museums. We also cover off-the-beaten-path outdoor activities you won't find in a typical Naples tourism brochure, Naples itinerary or Naples, Italy city tour also known as Napoli Italia.
10 Things to do in Naples, Italy Travel Guide Video Transcript: (NAPOLI)
Tell anyone you’re travelling to Naples and you’ll likely get a few raised eyebrows with some side comments about the mafia, or grid-lock traffic, or garbage on the streets. Somewhere along the way, Naples seems to have earned a bad reputation, but we thought it all sounded a bit too harsh. We wanted to experience the city for ourselves, plus we’d also heard there was good pizza!
We ended up having a grand ol’ time, so join on us as we show you what you can get up to with a couple of days in Naples, plus somewhere along the way, we’ll also reveal where we ate our favourite pizza.
Piazza del Plebiscito seemed like a good place to start our tour. This is a large public square in Central Naples, that earned its name from the 1860 vote that brought Naples into the unified Kingdom of Italy.
The plaza is surrounded by numerous attractions, including the Royal Palace of Naples on one side, and the Basilica of San Francesco di Paola.
We then visited the Royal Palace of Naples. This was one of the four residences in Naples used by the Bourbon Kings during their rule of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies.
The admission fee was 4 Euros and this gave us access to the Royal Apartments where we got to admire porcelains, tapestries, sculptures and painted ceilings found within the palace walls.
We visited was Castel Nuovo, an imposing medieval castle that dates back to 1282. This castle was built when Charles I of Naples took the throne and moved his capital from Palermo to Naples.
Admission to the castle was 6 Euros per person.
We stopped by Caffe Gambrinus, a historic coffeehouse in the heart Naples for a bite and drink.
We visited Galleria Umberto I, which is a gallery which vaulted iron and glass ceilings, where you can shop & people watch.
This gallery dates back to the late 1880s and meant to be reminiscent of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan.
While in Naples, we took it upon ourselves to find the best pizza in the city. This involved eating a total of 10 pizzas over two days.
In the end we decided Da Michele was our personal favourite.
Because we always enjoy visiting outdoor markets wherever we go, we stopped by the Fish Market.
Moving on to museums we visited Naples National Archaeological Museum. This museum holds the Farnese Marbles, which is an impressive collection of Roman copies of classical Greek sculptures and ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum.
Another place we visited in Naples was the Quartieri Spagnoli, or Spanish Quarter. The streets in this quarter were laid down during the 16th century for the Spanish military barracks outside the city walls. The streets here are narrow and the buildings tall.
And that’s a wrap for our quick 2-day tour of Naples. We hope this video gave you a few ideas of things you can do in the city and all the pizza you can eat in between.
This is part of our Travel in Italy video series showcasing Italian food, Italian culture and Italian cuisine.

Best Pizza in Naples, Italy Travel Food Video Transcript:
We have just arrived here in Naples and we are in town on a mission. Our mission is simple. To eat as much pizza as possible. Pizza was my favorite food growing up and we are visiting Naples the birthplace of pizza (Neapolitan pizza). We've got two days here. Our goal is to try and hit up five different pizzerias. We've searched the best of the best. We're going to visit them all and then we're going to rank them and let you know what our favorite one is. Let's eat pizza.
We are now approaching our first pizzeria of the day. It is just down the street. We're going to be eating at L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele. It is one of the most famous pizzerias in the whole city because they filmed a scene of Eat, Pray, Love here with Julia Roberts when she comes to Naples to devour pizza.
We're going to be ordering two kinds of pizza. We are planning to go for the margherita and marinara.
Wow! Is one way to describe that pizza experience. So it was delicious. It was amazing. It was huge. It was crowded.
It is time for our second pizza of the day. We have come to Port'Alba which has the distinction of being one of the oldest pizzerias in all of Naples. This one dates back to 1738.
Third pizzeria here in Naples and right now yes we're at Di Matteo. There is a huge crowd. At Di Matteo they are really popular for their street food. Like street pizza. We got a fried pizza and I got al forno which is in the oven - basically a folded margherita. Calling it portafoglio because it has been folded in four.
Pizza number 2 at Di Matteo was the fried variety. Pizza frita. It cost 1.50 Euros.
This is our forth pizzeria here in Naples called El Pizzeria Dal Presidente. We ordered the pizza margherita and a fried one with salami, pomodoro and two kinds of cheese.
We are at pizza place five of five at a place called La Cantina Dei Mille right by the train station.
We are feeling pretty stuffed. 10 pizzas in 2 days. That is a lot of pizza.
That was an insane pizza taste test in Naples. We got to try the best pizzas in the whole city (pizza Napoletana) and that makes me happy because I love pizza. We hope you guys enjoyed following along on this pizza adventure in Naples (pizza Napoletana). Ciao.

Italian’s reaction to Hawaiian Pizza [PRANK]
- ISCRIVITI AL CANALE:
The original pizzas in their most perfect form, the Margherita and Marinara, were created in Naples, a city in southern Italy. Over the centuries, many different variations of pizza were introduced around the world. But Naples continues to use the original recipe for traditional pizza. What happens when a Hawaiian pizza is delivered to some Neapolitans instead of the traditional pizza they had ordered. We find out in this hidden camera video.

The Brutal Tattoo Ritual Built on Pain
Tattoos hurt, but for most people, the pain is just a means to an end. Tattoo artists are usually mindful of their client's pain threshold, catering for breaks and mitigating any unnecessary brutality. It's abnormal for tattoo artists to restrain people while they're getting tattooed, or for the tattooee to bolt upright in agony to escape the needle's unrelenting penetrations. Nor is it very common to see sadistic mirth occupying the faces of multiple tattoo artists as they inflict the unnaturally long, thick, shallow lines seemingly without pause.
Enter Brutal Black. It's the tattoo project where mandalas come to die and where pain is prioritized over aesthetics. Ritual and rebirth are at the forefront of this project helmed by Valerio Cancellier and Cammy Stewart. They take those brave enough to be tattooed by them on one of the most brutal experiences one can imagine; far beyond one's threshold for pain to create an entirely new experience.
