I was off to a slow start due to a chopped guide which was cutting my line and I didn't find the chip until later. I ended up making up for it and we all caught nice fish.
Catching these giant fish was a blast. We caught them pretty good several times before the cold fronts hit. make sure you stick around because this day was just the beginning...

Trey Dennard, his son IV and their friend Gary Simms had a Amelia Island Backwater Slam fishing here in Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island, Fl. I was honored to be their guide on this fishing charter and we had a great day using light tackle to catch plenty of feisty Redfish, a couple in the Slot, two large Sheepshead, a keeper sized Trout, and a nice Flounder. Miranda and I go on a treasure hunt with an old metal detector we have had for a while. We head down to Peters Point beach in Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island and find some treasure…and trash. After striking out at Main Beach, we go on a familiar adventure to find lunch at Timoti’s downtown Fernandina. Afterwards we try out some sweets at NanaTerseas’s bake shop, and get to test out some new pumpkin bread (it was awesome). We end up not getting the drone that I have been waiting on, but we might try again tomorrow. After a scare with the golf cart batteries going dead on us, we have some Mexican food from Compas in St. Marys, and then call it a night.
