Ferry boat to Fjäderholmarna from Stockholm's Slussen quay (Stockholm, Sweden)
I took the ferry boat from Slussen (on Gamla Stan) in Stockholm to Fjaderholmarna. The boat ride is around 30 minutes long, and takes you to one of the more natural islands - Fjaderholmen - in the Stockholm archipelago. This video shows the return boat trip. Shot in July 2018.

Visiting Fjäderholmarna island in the Stockholm archipelago (Sweden)
I took a trip outside of Stockholm to one of the other islands in the archipelago - Fjaderholmen (part of the Fjaderholmarna group of islands). It's only about a 30-40 minute ferry ride from Slussen in Gamla Stan (Old Town), but it feels like you are far outside the city. There are some small shops, restaurants, and nature trails to enjoy while you are there. Shot in July 2018.

We arrived the day before, a few hours delayed - that was night one - this is day one! We went to Fjaderholmarna in Stockholm and then went on a search for the crowns on the bridge overlooking Gamla Stan.

This was our day trip to the very nice island Fjäderholmarna. This video features a track created by myself with my project The Renatus Cartesius Project. The video was shot with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 and edited with Sony Movie Studio Platinum 13.0.

We’ll guide you along the city’s quays, out to and around the islands of Fjäderholmarna. If we are lucky there is ice on the water for the ship to break through.
On board the guide tells us interesting facts about Stockholm’s history and surroundings. For those who wants to defy the cold outside for the best view on upper deck we have skin rugs and fleece blankets to keep you warm. If you feel a bit chilly we serve Swedish Glögg, a traditional hot mulled wine in the cafeteria. Here you will also find other warm and cold beverages.
Add some Swedish tradition for lunch
Enjoy a bowl of tomato soup or Swedish pea soup and maybe a glass of arrack as Stockholm passes by outside. Peas have been grown in Sweden since the Stone Age and the soup was an important dish in the navy and on merchant ships. We have the pleasure to serve this traditional soup onboard M/S Angantyr.
