THE TAJ MAHAL | AGRA | INDIA + Agra Fort and train journey to Jaipur
The Taj Mahal in Agra is perhaps the most iconic building in all of India, and in this video we really explore the Taj Mahal in full detail - including some secret viewpoints to see the Taj Mahal! Agra also offers a few other tourist places to visit such as Agra Fort, a massive structure that can be seen from miles away! After our 2 days in Agra, we then caught the AF to AJMER superfast train from Agra fort station to Jaipur Junction to being the next leg of our journey.
Some tips for Agra!
1. The secret viewpoint where we had lunch is called Saniya Palace. It also had amazing food!
2. AF to AJMER superfast train was really comfortable and we really enjoyed it! We booked AC Chair coach tickets at a very reasonable price. We booked all our train tickets using 12go Asia website.
3. The Taj Mahal cost 1300rs each to enter. We highly recommend paying 1300rs to enter the mousoleum as well. The 1100rs ticket will only allow you to walk around the gardens. You won't be able to walk up to the actual building without the more expensive ticket!!!
4. We had friends visit Agra 2 days after we were there and they said the Agra fort was well worth the money! Bugger we missed out :( so if you have the time we also recommend checking out the fort too!

...ABOUT US...
Hi, we are Erin and Francis, aka the Honeymooners! We are a couple travelling the world for a year on our honeymoon.
In 2016 we travelled throughout South East Asia, and trekked all over the Himalayas of Nepal. We documented the entire trip on our GoPro for our family and friends, but decided to post it all onto YouTube just for a bit of fun as well.
We are newlyweds, happily married since June 2019, and are now living out our dream goal we have had since our last overseas trip, of travelling the world for an entire year on our honeymoon. We have worked so hard towards this goal and want to document the entire journey with you all, so you can join us as we leave our footprints all over this beautiful world.
The world we live in is so diverse and rich with culture, yet the more we travel and the more people we meet along the way, we realise that people share so many similarities no matter what their background is. We love showing these similarities while expressing their cultural differences and hope to capture those moments and show the world.

Agra City Guide | Taj Mahal Travel Video in Uttar Pradesh, India Video Transcript:
Well good morning good morning. Today we are in Agra (आगरा). How excited are you? Super excited. I mean 'hey guess what' there is a little kind of tiny attraction here we might be visiting. Maybe the Taj Mahal (ताजमहल). The Taj Mahal (ताजमहल) is actually closed on Fridays and we didn't realize that until we got here. So we can't visit today but instead we're going to visit Agra Fort (आगरा का किला). Yeah. And maybe the Baby Taj Mahal. Yeah, and the good news is that I've actually been to Agra (آگرہ) before and I've been to Agra Fort (आगरा का किला) and it is one of the most impressive I've ever visited in India. If this fort was outside of Agra (आगरा) it would be a standalone attraction in another city. So we're going to go check that out today and maybe check out the Taj from across the river. And then we have to buy tickets for the Taj. Right so busy day actually. Let's begin.
Agra Fort (आगरा का किला) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that draws big numbers, especially on a Friday when the Taj is closed. Admission to Agra Fort (आगरा का किला) is through the Amar Singh Gate, which is the south gate. Outside the gates you’ll find guides offering their services, so that’s something you can keep in mind if you’re looking to learn about the fort’s history and architecture.
So we've been getting all of these like teaser views of the Taj. Last night we had it during dinner and today we have this. And I think we're going to get one more vantage point later on in the day. And then finally tomorrow we actually visit it.
Once you walk through a series of gates, you’ll find yourself in a giant complex of marble palaces, inner courtyards and gardens, complete with wild monkeys running along the fort’s walls.
You also get some pretty cool views of the Taj Mahal (ताजमहल) off in the distance - but we’ll show you an even better lookout point later in this video.
The Taj Mahal (ताजमहल) was built by Shah Jahan as a memorial for his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died giving birth to their 14th child in 1631. He wrote that the beauty of the structure made “the sun and the moon shed tears from their eyes”, and while I may not have shed a tear, it’s a sight that did not disappoint.
So we made it to the Baby Taj Mahal (Tomb of I'timād-ud-Daulah - اعتماد الدولہ کا مقبر).
So our last stop of the day is the Mehtab Gardens (मेहताब बाग़ - مہتاب باغ,) which are directly behind the Taj Mahal (ताजमहल) so you get some pretty cool views.
so that is a wrap from Agra (आगरा).
This is part of our Travel in India video series showcasing Indian food, Indian culture and Indian cuisine.

This summer I had the awesome opportunity to fulfill my dream of studying and living in India! I have never been away from home for this long or this far before. I knew I needed to get out of my comfort zone and I took the chance to move across the globe to a place that I have been interested in working in my whole life. With all of the drastic views and assumptions that exist about India, I wanted to show others the REAL India through my videos and teach others the truth of the beauty of this country.

TAJ MAHAL AGRA INDIA travel vlog
TAJ MAHAL AGRA INDIA travel vlog
Visit the world wonder Taj Mahal in Agra, India as I take you on my journey through this travel vlog. Finally leaving Delhi, I make my way to Agra as to continue my tour through India's golden triangle.
Agra contains one of the most famous world wonders which is why it would be my next stop. This city is the smallest of the golden triangle, but with the biggest impact.
One day in Agra would prove to be enough to be able to explore the city, visit the Taj Mahal, and get a stunning sunset view. Agra city life proved to be a little less hectic than it's counterparts and the people were so friendly.
But the true gem of the city lies within the magical Taj Mahal. Finally getting to see it, I can honestly say it was more impressive than I could have imagined. Usually there is a little disappointment when you get to see something that you've read about or studied in books. Not the Taj Mahal, this world wonder has gained its reputation for a reason. Explore a little of this world wonder as I end my travel journey with a gorgeous sunset view.
Don't miss out on your chance to learn more about this incredible city and see what it's like to experience the world wonder Taj Mahal.

THE TAJ MAHAL! | Delhi to Agra, India Travel VLOG | Day Two
Day two of our adventures across India sees us whizzing through a mini tour Delhi before shooting off to Agra to explore the Agra Fort and to finally tick off another Wonder of the World - The Taj Mahal!
For those of you who have never visited the Taj Mahal, now is the time to add it to your bucket list! It is just as stunning in person as it in the photos and the story behind it is fascinating as well. Rumour has it that the Indian Government have plans to eventually net the Taj Mahal in some way to protect it form the elements so these views may not always be so accessible to us.

Time-Lapse Tuesday: India's Agra Fort
Most of us know and love India's Taj Mahal, but did you know that just 2.5km (1.5 mi) away is the second part of this wonder's love story?
In 1632, Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan began the 22-year construction on a tomb for his wife, the Taj Mahal.. During his reign, he also updated the Agra Fort to the edifices we see today: curling arches and white marble. It was only when the Emperor fell ill in 1658 that his son, eager for his own reign to begin, confined his father to the fort until his death in 1666.
Shah Jahan's living quarters had a direct view of the Taj Mahal, or to both love's of his life; his love for his wife and his commitment to leaving his legacy through the Golden age of Mughal architecture.

Crimes that tell us, we need to be careful, we need to be watchful. Crimes that tell us lives could have been saved.Every crime we hear of, either warns us to be careful or scares us, it could happen to us. Every crime ignites a feeling, 'It should not have happened'.Would knowing the 'Why' behind a crime, help in stopping a crime from happening?'I don’t like the way he looks at me', 'I don’t like the way he/she is behaving', 'I think he/she is out of his/her mind', 'I think he/she has gone crazy'. That gaze, that quirky smile, that persistent stare which unnerves. It is difficult to understand the intentions but the hints are there. In a house a husband and wife argue, fight. A vessel comes flying, a glass breaks. Husband is angry and the wife is upset. That hatred, that ego. The distance that keeps growing. It is difficult to comprehend the damage, but the cracks are there.Feelings… expressions. Misunderstood, unresolved callings of the heart. The cracks are there. Too wide to be missed. Yet when the heart takes over the mind, the outcome is a mindless tragedy.Crime Patrol- Dastak will attempt to look at the signs, the signals that are always there before these mindless crimes are committed. Instincts/Feelings/Signals that so often tell us that not everything is normal. May be, that signal/feeling/instinct is just not enough to believe it could result in a crime. Unfortunately after the crime is committed, those same signals come haunting.

AGRA FORT History/Information in HINDI(Full Guided Tour) | Agra Heritage Tour | Ep-3 | आगरा का किला
This video is based on my recent visit to Agra Fort which I completed with the help of a tourist guide to know the Agra Fort History in Hindi. So, let me tell you briefly about the Agra Fort history and facts associated with this guided tour.
Although, a lot of people search about Agra Fort History in Bengali, Marathi, English and Telugu but I think Hindi is the most used language in India, so I have come up with this Agra Fort Guide in Hindi. Agra Fort Railway Station is just about 100 m away from the Agra Fort, so if you have your train till this railway station, you can reach Agra Fort in not more than 2-4 minutes.
Agra Fort Timings: Sunrise to Sunset
Agra Fort to Taj Mahal Distance : 2 km
Agra Fort Ticket Price/Entry Fee : Rs.50(Indian/Domestic Tourist), Rs.550(Foreign Tourist), Free(For Children above 15 yrs of Age)
Agra Fort is a popular historical fort in the city of Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. Agra Fort was known to be the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal Dynasty until 1638, after which the capital was shifted from Agra to Delhi. Before the Britishers captured this fort, the last Indian rulers who occupied it were the Marathas. In the year 1983, the Agra fort was got the tag of a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is located at about 2 km northwest of its more well known sister monument, the Taj Mahal. The fort can be more appropriately described as a walled city.
Agra Fort had been built and used majorly by the early mughal rulers including Akbar, Jahangir, Shah Jahan and Aurangzeb. The Fort stands tall on an ancient site and was known as Badalgarh. It was known to be captured by Ghaznavi for some time but later in the 15th century A.D. the Chauhan Rajputs captured it. Soon after, Agra got the status of capital soon after Sikandar Lodi (A.D. 1487-1517) shifted his capital from Delhi and built a few buildings in the existing Fort of Agra. After the first battle of Panipat (A.D. 1526) Mughals occupied the fort and ruled from it. Then Humayun was crowned in the fort in A.D. 1530. The Fort actually got its present appearance during Akbar’s reign (A.D. 1556-1605).
Agra Fort Architecture: The 380,000 m2 (94-acre) fort has a semicircular plan, its chord actually lies parallel to the Yamuna river and its walls are known to be 70 ft high. Double ramparts have massive circular bastions at certain intervals, with battlements, embrasures, machicolations as well as string courses. 4 gates were provided on all the sides, one was the Khizri gate which opened on to the river. Two of the gates of the Fort are notable: the Delhi Gate and the Lahore Gate. The Lahore Gate is popularly known as the Amar Singh Gate, for Amar Singh Rathore.
