Sammlerbörse im Bremer Focke Museum
Im Rahmen der aktuellen Auguste Papendirck Ausstellung im Bremer Focke Museum, zeigte die Hamelner Galerie Faita Arbeiten von Keramikern aus den letzten Jahrzehnten. Die Arbeiten stammen von sammlern, die ihre Schränke geöffnet haben und die Keramiken anbieten.

Asien und Afrika sind im Übersee-Museum Bremen nur ein paar Schritte voneinander entfernt. In einer einzigartigen Mischung vereint das 1896 eröffnete Haus handels-, völker-, und naturkundliche Sammlungen unter einem Dach. Fünf Mitarbeiterinnen der Bremer Touristik-Zentrale unternehmen im Rahmen eines Film-Workshops eine Tour durch die Wissenswelt gegenüber des Bremer Hauptbahnhofs.

Am 09. März eröffnete das Focke-Museum Bremer Landesmuseum für Kunst- und Kulturgeschichte die Sonderausstellung Graben für Germanien. Archäologie unterm Hakenkreuz.
Die Ausstellung wurde eröffnet durch Grußworte und Reden von Dr. Frauke von der Haar, Direktorin Focke-Museum, Bürgermeister Jens Böhrnsen, Präsident des Senats der Freien Hansestadt Bremen, Staatsminister Bernd Neumann, Beauftragter der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien, Dr. Wilhelm Krull, Generalsekretär VolkswagenStiftung, Prof. Dr. Uta Halle, Leiterin Forschungsprojekt „Vorgeschichtsforschung in Bremen unter dem Hakenkreuz, sowie Dr. Karin Walter, Ausstellungsleiterin „Graben für Germanien.
Musikalisch begleitet wurde die Eröffnung von Lynda Cortis, Barbara Holicka, Stefan Latzko und Gunther Schwiddessen.

The Overseas Museum in Bremen (German: Übersee Museum Bremen) is a Natural History and ethnographic museum in northern Germany. In an integrated exhibition of Nature, Culture and Trading, the museum presents aspects of overseas regions with permanent exhibitions relating to Asia, South Pacific/Oceania, Americas and Africa. Since 1993, the building itself is protected by the monument protection act.
In 1875, the collections of the Bremen Natural History Society became the property of the city of Bremen under the name Municipal Collections of Natural History and Ethnography, the library of the society having been given to the city in 1872. Here you can immerse yourself in distant continents and experience the fascinating cultural and natural spaces with exhibits from all over the world.
For over 120 years, the Overseas Museum Bremen presents The World Under One Roof and combines in its modern exhibitions, the themes of peoples, trade and nature to a unified experience. In the Overseas Museum, visitors immerse themselves in the dazzling underwater world of Oceania, experiencing Asia as a continent of contrasts between vibrant mega-cities and spiritual tranquility and tradition. In Africa, they explore the cradle of humans or come close to the big animals of the savannah. The lives of the Indians of North and South America, the pre-Columbian gold treasure or the living environment of the Amazon can be discovered in America. The current topic of globalization takes up the exhibition Experience, what moves the world. And those who want to discover more, look into the foam magazine, which is connected via a bridge with the main building.

Bremen is a city straddling the Weser River in northwest Germany. It’s known for its role in maritime trade, represented by Hanseatic buildings on the Market Square. The ornate and Gothic town hall has a Renaissance facade and large model ships in its upper hall. Nearby is the Roland statue, a giant stone figure symbolizing freedom of trade. St. Peter’s Cathedral features medieval crypts and twin spires.
The free Hanseatic City of Bremen is a city in northern Germany with a major port on the River Weser. The population is 548,000. It is also the name of one of the states of Germany which consists of two separated enclaves on the River Weser. Bremerhaven geographically separate form the city of Bremen but administratively part of the state of Bremen.
Bremen was once a member of the medieval Hanseatic League and is still one of the most important cities in northern Germany. Together with the city of Bremerhaven on the North Sea it forms Germany's smallest state. Bremen has more than 1200 years of history, and was, for most of its existence, an independent city-state.
The Bremer Stadtmusikanten (Town Musicians of Bremen) perhaps the most well known figures associated with Bremen are characters from the Brothers Grimm fairy tale of the same name. Their image adorns many of the souvenirs in the city. Next to the Town Hall is a much photographed statue of them.
Bremen is a rather long and narrow city, lining both sides of the river Weser. Along the north-west/south-east axis it stretches about 10 km, but across only 2 km. The entire city is located on flat plains. Much of Bremen (or at least the part frequented by tourists) can be negotiated by foot - the best way to explore the old city and its surrounding districts.
Stroll around the city center and visit the Schnoor-Viertel with its old buildings - most were built between the 15th and 18th century. If you are interested in art, visit the Bremer Kunsthalle (museum of art) with one of North Germany's finest collections. If you like football, you see one of the matches of Werder Bremen, a team playing in the Bundesliga (German premier league). You can also visit their stadium Weser Stadion for a few euros when there isn't a game going on.
A good way to get in touch with the locals is to stroll along the river Weser on the scenic Osterdeich, where - in good weather - lots of little groups hanging out on the grassy hills may invite you to barbecue with them or have a beer. Don't miss the beautiful Bürgerpark.

Lost Places #9 Der Spitzbunker mitten in der Stadt | Its Lost
Herzlich willkommen auf unserem Kanal und in unserem neunten Video.
Dieses mal haben wir einen alten Spitzbunker besucht.
Spitzbunker sind Luftschutztürme die im Volksmund auch Betonzigarre oder Zuckerhut, im Englischen ant hill bunker (Ameisenhügel-Bunker) genannt werden.
Ihre Konstruktion geht auf Leo Winkel (in Duisburg) zurück.
Das spitze, steil abfallende Dach sollte eine geringe Angriffsfläche für Bomben bieten und bei einem Treffer für ein Abgleiten der Bombe möglichst ohne deren Explosion sorgen. Es ist nur ein Treffer bekannt, der einen Turm zerstörte (auf dem „Focke-Wulf“-Gelände in Bremen Hemelingen, 12. Oktober 1944, amerikanische Sprengbombe, 5 Todesopfer). Es wurden rund 200 Winkeltürme erbaut. Sie stehen heute, soweit sie erhalten sind, zum größten Teil unter Denkmalschutz.
