FORLÌ: Hotel della Città, si cerca un nuovo gestore- VIDEO
Un nuovo gestore per lo storico Hotel della Città di Forlì. La struttura chiusa e dunque inutilizzata dal marzo dello scorso anno quando il precedente gestore ha dichiarato forfait, è stata per decenni uno dei luoghi simbolo della città, ospitando centinaia di artisti e personaggi illustri di passaggio a Forlì e centro nevralgico per conferenze stampa, incontri pubblici, eventi organizzati da associazioni e enti pubblici e privati. La proprietà, cioè la Fondazione Livio e Maria Garzanti, pur essendo privata ha indetto una sorta di bando pubblico, che scadrà il 30 di novembre, per trovare il soggetto in grado di riavviarne l'attività. Si richiede adeguata esperienza e un piano di sviluppo, a fronte di canone d'affitto annuo al momento fissato in 100mila euro, ma che potrebbero scendere se il futuro gestore si accollerà anche in costi delle manutenzioni straordinarie interne necessarie per rimettere a norma l'immobile che dispone di oltre 50 camere, diverse sale convegni e un ristorante, oltre la giardino che si affaccia sul centralissimo Corso della Repubblica. L'hotel della città venne realizzato, come lascito alla sua città natale, dall'editore Aldo Garzanti fra il 1953 e il '57, la progettazione venne affidata a Giò Ponti, architetto di fama mondiale che a Forlì realizzò una struttura d'avanguardia che, anni dopo, servì come base per il notissimo grattacielo Pirelli di Milano, ora sede della regione Lombardia. L'intera struttura, nel suo aspetto esterno, è sotto vincolo della soprintendenza delle belle arti per il suo alto valore architettonico e storico.

FORLI': Da tutta Italia per festeggiare i 25 anni del 13° Nucleo elicotteri | VIDEO
Celebrare 25 anni di storia con una cerimonia . Così il 13° Nucleo elicotteri di istanza nella base all’interno dell’aeroporto Ridolfi ha voluto festeggiare, radunando da tutt’Italia tutte le persone che negli’anni hanno prestato servizio a Forlì. Il maggiore Vincenzo Lombardo ha fatto gli onori di casa accogliendo il Comandante della legione dei Carabinieri. Tra i festeggiamenti anche lo spazio per ricordare Il capitano Vittorio di Stasio, morto nel 2007 nella caduta di un’ultra leggero, con la scoperta della targa con la quale è stata intitolata un’aula della struttura.

FORLÌ: Frontale tra due auto, muore una 77enne | VIDEO
Si bagna di sangue la Vigilia di Natale forlivese ed il bilancio è pesante: una donna di 77anni è morta a seguito dell'impatto violento tra l'auto sulla quale stava viaggiando insieme ad un 74enne al volante e quella proveniente dal senso opposto con due giovani a bordo. Lo scenario violento che i Vigili del Fuoco e i carabinieri di Meldola si sono ritrovati di fronte spiega l'intervento sul posto da parte di ben 5 autoambulanze con auto medicalizzata, in soccorso dei due giovani molto gravi. Con le prime ore della sera, erano circa le 17.30, su via Trò Meldola in direzione Bertinoro la Renault Scenic grigia della coppia di anziani, secondo le prime ricostruzioni dei militari che si sono avvalsi di testimoni, avrebbe centrato la Volvo dei due ragazzi albanesi provenienti dalla corsia inversa. L'impatto devastante per i mezzi e fatale per la donna è avvenuto nei pressi della rotonda della Para, una strada, quella provinciale piuttosto stretta e contornata da fossi e campi. Per estrarre dall'abitacolo il corpo della donna, ormai defunta, è stato necessario un lungo lavoro dei Vigili del Fuoco che hanno dovuto farsi largo tra le lamiere. I due ragazzi della Volvo, gravissimi sono invece stati portati all'Ospedale Bufalini di Cesena, mentre il 74enne conducente della Renault ha riportato ferite di media gravità ed è ricoverato al Morgagni-Pierantoni. Solo dopo diverse ore la circolazione è stata ripristinata.
Inaguration of Sikh monument in Forli, Italy on 13 August 2011 Part 1
On Saturday 13th August 2011, thousands of Sikhs from all over the World mainly from Europe, gathered at Forli Indian Army War Cemetery in Italy in an inauguration ceremony to reveal the first Sikh military monument dedicated to the Sikh warriors who laid their lives in World War II for the freedom of Europe. President of Shromani Akali Dal Amritsar, Sardar Simranjit Singh Mann came specially from Punjab to attend this historical day.
It has reminded the 300 years of the birth of khalsa when to honor the Khalsa and the sacrifices of the Sikh soldiers during World War I, the City of Ieper together with the European Sikh Community organized a celebration of Peace on Sunday 4 April 1999 at Cloth Hall in Ieper - Belgium and the Panj Piara's unveiled a Sikh monument in Hollebeek where Sikh soldiers were deployed and fought the Germans facist for the first time during World War I.
Sikhs have fought in Forli (1943-45 ) in 1st - 2nd - 8th - 11th - 15th - and 16th Punjab Regiment, Nabha Akal Infantry, 1st Sikh Engineers , 11 Sikh Regiment, 12th and 13th Frontier Force Rifles, Indian Pioneer Corps and English Regiments with Sikhs like King George V's Own Bengal Sappers and Miners, 1st Duke of York Own Cavalry ( Skinner's Horse ), 6th Duke of Cannaught's Own Lancers ( Watson Horse ), Prince Albert Victor's Own Cavalry and Royal Indian Army Services Corps . 352 Sikhs died here out of 800 British Indian Soldiers. Other soldiers are from 18 Garhwal Rifles and 4 & 5th Mahratta Light Infantry. For the liberation of Italy, 5773 British Indian Soldiers have died in Italy, mostly Sikhs, along with the Allied forces. Besides Forly, Sikhs have also fought in Cassino, Florence, Ravana and Sangro River during World War II. Montecchio Precalcino Communal Cemetery and Taranto Town Cemetery Extention have also Samaads of 1 Sikh soldier of World War I each.
The event was proudly organized by the World Sikh Saheed ( Martyrs) Military Memorial Committee , Italy, under the leadership of Mr Harwinder Singh, Mr Prithipal Singh, Mr. Kewal Singh, Mr. Satnam Singh, Mr. Sewa Singh Fauji and Mr Balwinder Singh Chahal with assistance from all the Sikh Sangat and Gurdwaras of Italy and with the kind co-operation of the Town Hall of Forli. The whole event was transmitted live by the Sikh Channel and Sangat Channel TVs.
Messages of congratulations and good will were sent to grace this historical occasion by Governor of West Vlanderen Mr. Paul Breyne in whose province Sikhs have fought twice during World War I, Mayor of Ieper Mr. Luc Dehaene whose City was defended by the Sikhs and Chemical Gas Chlorine was used against them in April 1915, Sardar Ganga Singh Dhillon, Chairman Siri Nankana Sahib Foundation, David Symons, Director of Communication & Information, Commonwealth War Graves Commission. Mr. David Symons writes, In the last two World Wars 83,005 Sikh soldiers were killed and 109,045 were wounded. They all died or were wounded for the freedom of Britain, the Commonwealth and the World, enduring shellfire with no other protection but the turban, the symbol of their faith. we that live on can never forget those comrades who, in giving their lives, gave so much that are great and good to the story of the Sikh Regiment. No living glory can transcend that of their supreme sacrifice. May they rest in peace.
The plaque on the monument placed by the Sikh Community Italy states the quotation of Sir Winston Churchill as, We are today able to live with honour, dignity and independence. In the war, they fought and died for us, wearing the turbans.

Continua ad andare avanti il progetto dell’Aeroporto “Ridolfi” di Forlì, anche se ancora non c’è una data precisa per la sua riapertura. Pare però, come si legge sul Corriere di Forlì, che il primo marzo, verranno affidati i lavori previsti alle imprese scelte e alle quali verrà assegnato un termine di tre mesi per la loro conclusione. F.A. srl - la società privata che si è aggiudicata la gestione trentennale dello scalo all’esito del bando promosso da Enac, contra tra i soci Orienta Partners, Ponzi infissi, Cmc, Orogel, l’imprenditore Giuseppe Silvestrini, la società di vigilanza “Cittadini dell’ordine ” di Cesena e il Gruppo Villa Maria guidato da Ettore Sansavini. Attualmente, secondo i dirigenti della società, sono necessarie alcune opere strutturali che non dovrebbero avere tempi lunghi. Contemporaneamente , il presidente Giuseppe Silvestrini e l’amministratore Delegato di F.A. srl Sandro Gasparrini, stanno cercando di costruire una rete delle compagnie aeree che dovranno operare sulla pista del Ridolfi.Insomma si continua ad avanzare per poter trasformare il progetto dell’aeroporto in realtà, e se tutto va liscio magari tra qualche mese sarà possibile definire già una data per la riapertura dello scalo.
