Ferry to Princes' Island, Istanbul, Turkey
Most İstanbullus refer to the Princes' Islands as 'The Islands' (Adalar), as they are the only islands around the city. They lie about 20km southeast of the city in the Sea of Marmara, and make a great destination for a day escape from the city.
The ferry steams away from Kabataş and on its journey treats passengers to fine views of Topkapı Palace, Aya Sofya and the Blue Mosque on the right, and Üsküdar and Haydarpaşa on the left. After 20 minutes the ferry makes a quick stop at Kadıköy on the Asian side before making its way to the first island, Kınalıada.
( Istanbul (/ˌɪstænˈbʊl/; Turkish: İstanbul [isˈtanbuɫ], once known as Constantinople and Byzantium before that, is the most populous city in Turkey, and the country's economic, cultural, and historical center. Its commercial and historical center lies on the European side and about a third of its population lives on the Asian side. The city is the administrative center of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (coterminous with Istanbul Province), both hosting a population of around 14 million residents. Gaziantep Şahinbey Municipality has added a nice section to its Şahinbey Park Miniatürk. It's the miniature of important works in the world and Turkey is the fact that according to section 20 works in construction. Decorations, fine works are made with utmost care. Some of those, Selimiye Mosque, Dolmabahçe Palace, Bosphorus Bridge, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Taj Mahal, Mevlana Tomb, cappadocia Fairy Chimneys etc.
