Lille-Flandres is the main railway station of Lille, capital city of the French Flanders. It is a terminus for SNCF Intercity and regional trains and was named Flandres in 1993 when Lille-Europe station opened.
The station was built by Léonce Reynaud and Sydney Dunnett for the CF du Nord. Construction begun in 1869 and ended in 1892. The station front is the old front from Paris' Gare du Nord and was dismantled then reassembled in Lille at the end of the 19th century, an extra storey, as well as a large clock, were added to the original design. Dunnett added the Hôtel des Voyageurs in 1887, and the rooftop in 1892.
This video features the station viewed from above from the Euralille complex, arriving and departing electric units, the station front exterior, internal decor including a large flying saucer like silver disc, SNCF TGV train, SNCF Z 50000 units and armed French soldiers dressed in combat fatigues and with FAMAS assault rifles on guard at the station.

Lille-Europe is a railway station in Lille, France. It is primarily used for high-speed Eurostar and TGV services although some regional trains also call at the station.
The station was built in 1993 to be used as a through station for trains between the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands, as well as French TGV services, except those coming from Paris which normally terminate at Lille Flandres. There is a 500 m walking distance between the two stations.
This video features views of the station from both the interior and exterior including the glass and steel work, decor and platforms. It includes arriving and departing Eurostar and TGV trains.

The term Flanders is attached to its name in 1993, when the neighboring Lille-Europe station (located on the LGV Nord ) was opened . This choice is due to its situation in French Flanders .
It was commissioned in 1848 by the Northern Railway Company . It is a station of the SNCF , served by TGVs , Belgian InterCity and regional trains (including TER Hauts-de-France ). The Lille-Flandres station is the largest TER station in France outside Paris; it is also the second provincial station in terms of traffic behind Lyon-Part-Dieu station .
