The San Francisco Mint: A Fortress Full of Money That Will Never Be Spent | Bay Curious
Have you ever driven down Market St. in San Francisco and wondered what that big, imposing building behind the Safeway is?
It’s a big gray building sitting up on a hill, surrounded by high fences topped with barbed wire and cameras. Bay Curious listener Spencer Barton sees it on his his way to work, “It has very small windows,” he says, “It definitely looks government.”
Now Spencer wants to know: What is that big gray building?
It’s a U.S. Mint.
There are six U.S. Mints spread out across the country. Each branch has its own __ role. The Washington D.C. Mint holds the Mint headquarters, the West Point Mint makes gold bullion coins, the Fort Knox Mint has vast, heavily guarded gold reserves, while the Denver and Philadelphia Mints make the circulation coins you’d find in your pocket. San Francisco used to make circulation coins, but not anymore.

Impeachment trial of President Trump | Jan. 27, 2020 (FULL LIVE STREAM)
The House managers wrapped up their arguments against President Trump on Jan. 24. Trump’s team, including lawyers Pat Cipollone and Jay Sekulow, now has 24 hours to present their case. After Trump’s lawyers conclude their presentation, senators will have an opportunity to submit questions to both sides in writing. Following that, debate will turn to whether to call witnesses and subpoena documents.
Trump was impeached by the House of Representatives in December for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Impeachment does not mean that the president has been removed from office. In the next phase, the Senate must hold a trial to make that determination. A Senate impeachment trial has happened only two other times in American history and once in the modern era. At the center of the Democrats’ case is that Trump sought to withhold military assistance and an Oval Office meeting until Ukraine announced investigations into former vice president Joe Biden and his son.

Colorado Experience: Imprisonment
Initially only a single building in the middle of a 30-acre plot of land near Cañon City, Colorado’s first prison was erected in 1868 before statehood. Colorado’s history of imprisonment has taken a turbulent journey through rebellions, riots, and escapes. The story of Old Max and its architectural journey tells the story of changing attitudes towards crime, justice and punishment.

Drivetime Downtown Pueblo Co
Driving through Downtown Pueblo, Co. (Union Ave.) with Your Lies performed by Brian Osbment playing.
In the Beginning…
Flair Affair Entertainment was created in 2010 by C.M. Gray, a mass communication/broadcasting major from Colorado State University-Pueblo. The program originally began as a university project highlighting local talent by video stream via the CSU-Pueblo TODAY online newspaper.
Eventually…
FA Ent. had joined forces with artists from around the globe, creating a network consisting of some of the very best independent artists in music genres ranging from Pop to Rock, Country to Dance, and more.
With submissions from artists coming in at an ever growing pace and the FA Ent. audience expanding even more, we soon adopted the practice of screening each submission before final selections were made for placement on the official website.
Selected artists could now participate in our platform, enabling them to reach an even larger audience through means of our social networking and in-house/general promotions and opportunities programs.
Today…
From LIVE shows to music projects, radio airplay, individualized promotional campaigns, product development, and more, FA Entertainment offers services to help artists achieve their short and long-term career goals.

Driving Downtown - San Diego 4K - USA
Driving Downtown - San Deigo California USA - Episode 49.
Starting Point: Broadway - .
San Diego is a major city in California, United States. It is in San Diego County, on the coast of the Pacific Ocean in Southern California, approximately 120 miles (190 km) south of Los Angeles and immediately adjacent to the border with Mexico.
With an estimated population of 1,394,928 as of July 1, 2015, San Diego is the eighth-largest city in the United States and second-largest in California. It is part of the San Diego–Tijuana conurbation, the second-largest transborder agglomeration between the US and a bordering country after Detroit–Windsor, with a population of 4,922,723 people. San Diego has been called the birthplace of California. It is known for its mild year-round climate, natural deep-water harbor, extensive beaches, long association with the United States Navy, and recent emergence as a healthcare and biotechnology development center.
Historically home to the Kumeyaay people, San Diego was the first site visited by Europeans on what is now the West Coast of the United States. Upon landing in San Diego Bay in 1542, Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo claimed the area for Spain, forming the basis for the settlement of Alta California 200 years later. The Presidio and Mission San Diego de Alcalá, founded in 1769, formed the first European settlement in what is now California. In 1821, San Diego became part of the newly independent Mexico, which reformed as the First Mexican Republic two years later. In 1850, California became part of the United States following the Mexican–American War and the admission of California to the union.
The city is the seat of San Diego County and is the economic center of the region as well as the San Diego–Tijuana metropolitan area. San Diego's main economic engines are military and defense-related activities, tourism, international trade, and manufacturing. The presence of the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), with the affiliated UCSD Medical Center, has helped make the area a center of research in biotechnology.
Tourism
Tourism is a major industry owing to the city's climate, beaches, and tourist attractions such as Balboa Park, Belmont amusement park, San Diego Zoo, San Diego Zoo Safari Park, and SeaWorld San Diego. San Diego's Spanish and Mexican heritage is reflected in many historic sites across the city, such as Mission San Diego de Alcala and Old Town San Diego State Historic Park. Also, the local craft brewing industry attracts an increasing number of visitors for beer tours and the annual San Diego Beer Week in November; San Diego has been called America's Craft Beer Capital.
San Diego County hosted more than 32 million visitors in 2012; collectively they spent an estimated $8 billion. The visitor industry provides employment for more than 160,000 people.
San Diego's cruise ship industry used to be the second-largest in California. Numerous cruise lines operate out of San Diego. However, cruise ship business has been in decline since 2008, when the Port hosted over 250 ship calls and more than 900,000 passengers. By 2011 the number of ship calls had fallen to 103 (estimated).
Local sight-seeing cruises are offered in San Diego Bay and Mission Bay, as well as whale-watching cruises to observe the migration of gray whales, peaking in mid-January. Sport fishing is another popular tourist attraction; San Diego is home to Southern California's biggest sport fishing fleet.
