Situational Awareness: Robert Griswold, Misty Griffin & Pastor Lankford
Wednesday May 17, 2017
7:00pm EDT Join us for half an hour of news, commentary and analysis with premiere father/son investigative team, Douglas J Hagmann and Joe Hagmann. Also in this segment, we are joined by our Director of Social Media, Jackie Hagmann.
7:30pm EDT Join us in welcoming our brand new sponsor, owner of Ready Made Resources, Robert Griswold. Robert is a longtime friend of the Liberty, Constitutionalist and Patriot movement.
Ready Made Resources provides a wide spectrum of necessities for preparedness minded families. This will be an informative half hour as Robert intends to discuss optics and night vision gear, with an emphasis on such gear as a significant force multiplier.
Grab your notepad because Robert will also touch on the importance of communication capability in an SHTF scenario. Robert also intends to discuss situational awareness. What is is? Why is it important? And how does one apply practical situational awareness to day-to-day living in order to enhance your personal safety and the safety of family and friends?
8:00pm EDT Welcome debut guest Misty Griffin. Misty Griffin currently lives in the south western United States where she is working towards her masters degree in nursing. She lives with her husband of eight years and their dog and two cats. She left the Amish a little over nine years ago and has never regreted it.
Misty's breakout book, Tears of the Silenced is (and has been) selling steadily since its publication.
Fourteen years later after unspeakable torture and constant threats against their lives Misty and her sister are taken to an Amish community in rural Minnesota. Here they learn german, are made to change their names and eventualy become baptized members.
Eighteen year old Misty breathes a sigh of releif no longer haveing to fear her stepfather will kill her. This is short lived however when she finds herself refuseing to be silenced. This ancient tradition in wich Amish sex abuse victims are made to forgive their atackers and continue to live life as normal. If the victim refuses to be quiet about the incident they are paid a visit by the ministers in which they are harshly reprimanded and if they still refuse to be silenced they are shunned.
Her intrest include Humantarian work, hiking, animals, writing poetry, crafts and embracing life with a positive attitude. She firmly believes that the impossible is more attainable than most people think and that no one should ever agree to be silent about harm that has become them or someone else.

700 Pound Snake Pulled out of Lake in North Carolina
Giant 700 pound snake caught in lake in Proctor, North Carolina. The giant man eating python was measured at 98 feet long. Police were contacted to see if there have been any recently filed missing person reports as a snake this big could have surely eaten a human.
This giant snake is massive and just gorgeous, but it didn't take long to find out that the STORY behind it... was fake, just another hoax.
While the image is indeed real, I think the size of the giant snake could have been exaggerated due to the camera angle
Nevertheless, this snake is still huge, but where did it come from? The markings on it's skin looks similar to that of a reticulated python native to Southeast Asia. After playing around with a little Google translate, the mystery was finally solved.
This giant python came from Indonesia and after some rough translating, it turns out that it was discovered this last Thanksgiving near the village of Belinyu City. It was found by accident by a group of construction workers who severely injured the reptile while knocking down a large dead tree in which the python was sleeping inside of. The workers put the dying snake out of it's misery and buried it.
It's sad to see such an incredible animal killed, especially one that could have been a new world record size. I wish there were more pictures so we could get a better idea of just how large it was.
I really enjoyed learning about this amazing snake, if you guys have any cool wildlife stories or interesting animals that you think I might enjoy, tell me about it on Facebook

Tropical Storm Lane expected to strengthen to a hurricane soon
Tropical Storm Lane continues to strengthen and is expected to be a major hurricane when it crosses into the Central Pacific on Saturday, the National Hurricane Center said.
At about 11 p.m. Wednesday, Lane was located located about 1,390 miles southwest of the southern tip of Baja California, Mexico, or a distant 2,100 miles away from Hilo.
It was moving west at about 12 mph and had maximum sustained winds near 50 mph.
Lane is expected to strengthen into a hurricane Thursday and could become a major hurricane on Saturday, forecasters say.
Debby and Ernesto formed in the northern Atlantic Ocean during the first half of August.
Above-average sea-surface temperatures aided in their development so far north.
Atmosphere and ocean conditions may favor more north Atlantic storms while the tropical Atlantic stays less active.
Flooding downpours to pivot across Mississippi, Ohio and Tennessee valleys into weekend
An area of downpours with a history of flash flooding will shift eastward to end this week then settle southward this weekend over the central United States.
The batch of rain may be welcomed in some communities but may cause problems for travel and outdoor plans.
During Thursday, Thursday night and Friday, torrential downpours and a few locally gusty storms will advance eastward across the Ohio Valley and lower Great Lakes region.
Motorists should expect travel delays along Interstates 40, 64, 65, 70, 75, 77 and 80.
In most areas, significant forward speed of the storms should keep downpours brief in most areas. However, it is possible the storms may repeat in some communities. Where this happens, the risk of flooding will be greatest.
Cities that may be affected by downpours and travel delays spanning Thursday to Friday include Indianapolis, Evansville and Fort Wayne, Indiana; Cincinnati, Columbus, Cleveland, Youngstown and Toledo, Ohio; Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky; Morgantown, West Virginia; Detroit, Nashville and Pittsburgh.
During this weekend, just enough dry air is forecast to punch in to keep storms at bay over much of central and northern Illinois, Indiana and Ohio, as well as much of Michigan.
However, farther south, across the lower part of the Ohio Valley, Tennessee Valley and southern Appalachians, dry air will struggle to move in. Through at least Saturday, downpours are likely to linger, repeat and potentially cause flash flooding in these areas.
There is a chance that enough dry air mixes in on Sunday to turn off showers or at least cause them to be much more spotty with the exception of the lower Mississippi Valley and Delta.
Farther west on Sunday, a new batch of showers and thunderstorms is forecast to move eastward across the Plains and increase in intensity.

Innovation Survival: Innovation in Science
Google Tech Talk
April 8, 2010
ABSTRACT
Presented by W. David Schwaderer.
Innovation is essential for all progress and competitive survival. It provides a democratic vehicle for individuals and upstarts to challenge and neutralize powerful incumbents. Yet, because change accompanies innovation, it is a double-edged sword.
This presentation examines the historical reception transformative scientific breakthroughs initially received before widespread adoption. By example, it teaches principles that can help ensure change agents personally, and their organizations, are on the delivering side of innovation's sharp edge.
W. David Schwaderer has a Masters Degree in Applied Mathematics from the California Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Southern California. He has worked at IBM, EDS, Adaptec, Symantec, and Silicon Valley startups. He has authored six commercial software programs for a variety of machine architectures using several different languages, dozens of articles, and ten technical books that explain complex technology in approachable ways. David's soon-to-be-published 11th book follows over 10 years of research and is titled Innovation Survival - Concept, Courage, Chance, and Change.
Thomas Woltz, “Threatened Landscapes: Designed Countermeasures of N. B. W. Landscape Architects”
Public parks are a source of civic identity for the communities they serve – inclusivity and authenticity are crucial. Similarly, memorials are bastions of democratic exchange and act as repositories of our cultural past and evolution. Thomas Woltz will present projects from the portfolio of Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects (NBW) that demonstrate the power of the firm’s research-based design to reframe our relationship with civic, ecological, and cultural systems within the public realm. Lastly, Thomas will present NBW projects that prioritize the ecological health and resilience in agriculturally productive landscapes and reveal surprising connections between these typologies.
Over the past two decades of practice, landscape architect Thomas Woltz has forged a body of work that integrates the beauty and function of built forms with an understanding of complex biological systems and restoration ecology. As principal of Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects (NBW), a 45-person firm based in Charlottesville, Virginia and New York City, Woltz has infused narratives of the land into the places where people live, work and play, deepening the public’s enjoyment of the natural world and inspiring environmental stewardship. NBW projects create models of biodiversity and sustainable agriculture within areas of damaged ecological infrastructure and working farmland, yielding hundreds of acres of reconstructed wetlands, reforested land, and flourishing wildlife habitat.
Presently, Thomas and NBW are entrusted with the design of major public parks across the United States, Canada and New Zealand, they include Memorial Park in Houston, Hudson Yards in New York City, NoMA Green in Washington DC, Cornwall Park in Auckland, the Aga Khan Garden in Alberta, Canada, and three parks in Nashville, including Centennial Park.
In 2013 was named Design Innovator of the Year by the Wall Street Journal magazine and in 2017 Fast Company named Woltz one of the most creative people in business.

Thorium.
Thorium is an abundant material which can be transformed into massive quantities of energy. To do so efficiently requires a very different nuclear reactor than the kind we use today- Not one that uses solid fuel rods, but a reactor in which the fuel is kept in a liquid state. Not one that uses pressurized water as a coolant, but a reactor that uses chemically stable molten salts.
Such a reactor is called a Molten Salt Reactor. Many different configurations are possible. Some of these configurations can harness Thorium very efficiently.
This video explores the attributes of Molten Salt Reactors. Why are they compelling? And why do many people (including myself) see them as the only economical way of fully harnessing ALL our nuclear fuels... including Thorium.
This video has been under development since 2012. I hope it conveys to you why I personally find Molten Salt Reactors so compelling, as do the many volunteers and supporters who helped create it. Much of the footage was shot by volunteers.
