June 19, 2013 -- Joannes Stadium, Green Bay, WI
Bullfrogs 8, Mallards 3
It looked to be another tight, early, pitcher's duel, thanks to some great defensive plays, although the Bullfrogs would commit four errors in the game. The Mallards would strike first in the top of the 4th, thanks to a Jason Goldstein RBI double which scored newcomer Bre Kimbell. Then, in the bottom half, the Bullfrogs would come right back, thanks to a Tripp Martin RBI sacrifice fly, scoring Andrew Ely. In the top of the 5th, however, another Mallards newcomer, 2013 ACC Freshman of the Year, Joe McCarthy, from the University of Virginia, would crush a ball to deep right and give the Mallards a 2-1 lead. In the top of the 6th, Mike Fitzgerald would take advantage of a dropped ball and error by Ryan Drobny, and go to third. Then, Goldstein would score him on an RBI sacrifice fly, on which Trevin Sonnier made a great, diving catch. Then, the Bullfrogs would score four runs in the bottom of the 6th, started by Robert Youngdahl scoring Trevin Sonnier, and then Andrew Ely picking up Youngdahl to tie the game. The 'Frogs would also take advantage of some wild pitches and score the go-ahead run on a wild pitch. Cabe Reiten would knock in the first of his two RBI's to make it 5-3. In the bottom of the 8th, Reiten would add his second RBI on a line drive to left, and then Trevin Sonnier would knock one to left center for a two-RBI double. The 'Frogs bullpen would shut down the Mallards the rest of the way, and improve the 'Frogs record to 9-13. They will be on the road the next six days, starting in Madison tomorrow, then going to Battle Creek for three, an off-day, and then to Wisconsin Rapids for the first time this season.

Bullfrogs 8, Rafters 5
The Bullfrogs finally win their first game of the second half of the 2013 season! They also snap their longest losing streak in franchise history at seven games. What a relief!
Right away, it was Jackson Slaid who hit an RBI sacrifice fly, but then Tripp Martin hit a cue shot to the Rafters' pitcher Griffin Glaude and threw it home, but Nick Torres was able to avoid the tag to tie the game. In the top of the 3rd, Donnie Dewees would hit a solo home run to re-take the lead for the Rafters, 2-1. Then in the bottom half, Boomer White would get three RBI's on a double to make it 4-2. One inning later, White would then hit a grand slam to give the Bullfrogs the lead for good, 8-2, despite Dewees hitting another 3-run homer later on.
The 'Frogs improve to 1-6 on the second half, the Rafters drop to 4-3. The 'Frogs will go back to Rapids tomorrow night, and then come back home for four straight: three against Battle Creek, and then another against Rapids.

June 14, 2013 -- Joannes Stadium, Green Bay, WI
Mallards 14, Bullfrogs 4
From Friday night. This game started out with the Mallards slowly building a lead, but it quickly became the Drew Weeks show, who earned Northwoods League Player of the Night honors, with 7 RBI's, 3 extra-base hits (2 doubles, 1 triple), and 2 runs scored. Most of his RBI's came in the 6th and 8th innings. By the time he plated his seventh RBI in the top of the 9th, it was 14-2. In the bottom of the 9th, the Bullfrogs would add 2 runs to make it a little more respectable.
One bright spot was the early play of Bullfrogs' 3B Andrew Ely, who had a bunt single, and continues to hit well early in his Bullfrogs' career.
Also of note: this was the last start made by Bullfrogs' pitcher Travis Duke, as he left the team in the last 24 hours. The 'Frogs then went to Madison to complete the series, where the Mallards took Saturday's game, and the Bullfrogs took Sunday's. The 'Frogs will go to Mequon on Monday to take on Lakeshore, before returning home to play the Chinooks on Tuesday.
