Gunnison Colorado
Before leaving Gunnison Colorado I decided to film the streets and do a little walk around while giving my thoughts on how a youtube channel should be run. Do you agree with me on the constant badgering to subscribe and like, if so like and subscribe. HAHA
Gunnison Basin Winter Big Game Baiting Operation
For more information on Gunnison Basin Winter Big Game Baiting Operation, please visit:
Winter is tough on wildlife in the Gunnison Basin, but deer and elk have evolved in these conditions over thousands of years. While this year seems particularly difficult, the animals are able to find natural sources of food. Everyone is reminded to stay well away from herds to minimize disturbance.
Video filmed on February 8, 2017.

Elk Creek Campground, Gunnison Colorado
Take a drive with us through Elk Creek Campground... It is on the North shore of beautiful Blue Mesa Reservoir. This lake is Colorado's largest body of water with 96 miles of shoreline and the largest Kokanee Salmon fishery in the United States.
The campground sits an altitude of 7,540 feet, and is surrounded by a vast expanse of sagebrush. Trees are scarce because the reservoir gets less than 12 inches of rain a year
Elk Creek is part of the Curecanti National Recreation Area, which was named after a Ute Indian chief of the mid-19th century.
There's a marina adjacent to the campground that's open late spring to early fall. Concession run coin operated showers are nearby, open during summer months.. Cell phone service is limited. Electric hookups are in Loop D only..

Why You Should Visit Colorado NOW! Gunnison National Forest
On our first day in Western Colorado, we explored the Gunnison National Forest. We hiked to Judd Creek Falls and then headed up to the gorgeous Emerald Lake. On our way, we saw a few guys making the most out of a little remaining snow by building a snowboard ramp and ripping some sweet flips off of it. We found some great things to do near Gunnison and Crested Butte Colorado.

A long walk through Marble Mill Site Park, Gunnison County, Colorado
The town of Marble, Colorado (in Gunnison County) is where this historical mill site park is located (at an elevation of about 2,436 metres (7,992 feet).
The flyer, at the park's entrance, states; In 1905, the Colorado-Yule Marble Company was founded and proved to be the beginning of Marble's greatest boom.
This site was the location of a large marble processing mill in which marble blocks were carved and then shipped throughout the country. Colorado-Yule removed the blocks from the marble quarry located 3.9 miles [6.27 km] up the road, and across the bridge over the Crystal River. There is no public access to the quarry.
Touted by many to be the finest in its class, stone quarried in Marble became the perfect choice for structures like the Lincolm Memorial in Washington, D.C., the Tomb of the Unknowns in Arlington Cemetery, and the Byron R. White United States Courthouse in Denver (formerly the U.S. Post Office and Federal Building).
