Best Hmong Homestay in Sapa, Vietnam! (Zizi's Homestay)
This is part 2 of our Sapa trip.
I have to say this is one of the best homestays that we've been to so far. If you really want to experience local authentic food and culture then this is probably your best bet. Enjoy this video! I tried my best to put subtitles. It was pretty complicated because of their dialect.

During this tour, you will be guided by our experienced local guide through 5 different villages of H’mong, Giay, Tay, and Red Dao local ethnic minorities. In particular, we will focus on the traditional communities of the Hmong people – a nation with the unique cultural traditions of Sapa.
You will see traditional houses on the back of the hill, on terraced fields stretching along the ridge. Besides, costumes and traditional instruments of the ethnic groups in Sapa. We are sure you will be surprised by that.
Seeing the natural landscape of Muong Hoa valley, the ecosystem of Hoang Lien National Park is also one of the great things that we want to point to you. Imagine standing in front of a lake on the top of the mountain surrounded by forests, terraces, and small traditional houses of ethnic minorities.
Wow! What a dreamy. Moreover, one more thing, you will see the whole Muong Hoa valley from the top of the mountain. It was great. I believe you will have a great experience on this tour. We guaranteed you this walk is worth it as it is away from the hustle and bustle of Sapa town.

Trekking with Hmong Villagers in Sapa, Vietnam
Part 1 of our Sapa Hmong Village Trip.
We went trekking with our Hmong tour guide around the mountains of Sapa. It is one of the beautiful places that you have to visit in Vietnam. The view is really breathtaking! The best time to visit is in July & August when the rice patties are about to be harvest!
Interesting fact about the Hmong Community in Sapa:
1. The government does not allow families to have more than two children.
2. They do not ball toss during New Years
3. Some families only farm enough to eat for the year. If they are short on food, they'll have to exchange labor for food.
4. Water Buffalos are only used to help plow farms. They will not get butchered for food unless a family member has passed away.
5. Bride Kidnapping is still a thing, but it has stopped for a while. You'll get sued if caught by the government.
We will cover all the details about Hmong in Sapa during our next video. Stay Tuned.

FLUFFY PUPPIES AND HIKING - SAPA PART 2
Our experience with Ethos - Spirit of the Community, a Sapa-based NGO and trekking company - long story short: IT ROCKED. Also Northern Vietnam seems to have some sort of fluffy dog monopoly. We love it. This was such a fun day. Honestly if we included all the footage we took this would be like 30 minutes long haha, but here are some highlights.
If you are heading to Sapa, we really recommend booking a trek with Ethos. Also booking AHEAD. They worked us in last minute, but we'd love to come back one day and do a 2 or 3 day trip.
